They move like the Friday games to Thursday and the kids that play on Thursday couldn't play. Yeah, at some of the schools. [00:01:48] Speaker B: So that's what it was with me. I was supposed to be working overtime. Varsity jv. Yeah, they canceled JV all the way for varsity game. [00:01:58] Speaker A: Well, we here. Other than that. How was your week? She plays like a detective, FBI agent that they trying to solve a crime. The audience knows who's doing the crime, so it's them trying. Cause, you know, sometimes you trying to figure out who did it on some of the shows, and then other shows, they let you know who did it, and the police just don't know. So this one is like, the police just don't know, and they trying to, you know, catch up to this person or whatever. So that was good. And then this other show, it made me think about how, like, you know, we got shows like Power and stuff, like that Snowfall, where you see, like, the black side of crime. But this show kind of show, like, back in, like, the late 70s, early 80s, the, like, white side of crime and stuff, where. This other show I'm talking about. When I was watching Snowfall, when they would say stuff that was, like, came out of real life, I would pick up on it and I would go and research and see where it came from. But, like. Yeah, the only thing about Westies was, like, I was trying to figure out the time period because I thought it was in the 70s, but based on the car, like, one of the cars that they drive, I got one of those cars. So I'm like, I know the. You know, the car I got came out in 82. [00:14:48] Speaker B: I think it is the 70s, though, [00:14:49] Speaker A: but I think it's like early 80s or late 70s, because in one of the scenes with the black people, they was playing the message. [01:03:04] Speaker C: This man, seen here wearing a San Francisco 49ers helmet and catching a football on the beach, is now behind bars tied to videos he posted like this one. Allegedly portraying a professional football player accused of defrauding dozens of women out of $1.3 million. 35 year old Dejan Love, along with 18 year old Taylor Chan, accused of targeting women on dating apps and social media over four years. According to an affidavit, they conspired to create fake financial documents that appeared to show they earned millions of dollars in investments they never made. Love would allegedly find women online and attempt to convince them to send money to him or Chan, who he claimed was his financial advisor. [01:03:43] Speaker A: They've charged them with wire fraud, which means that they basically received money in a fictitious way. In other words, it's a scam. [01:03:52] Speaker C: As part of the alleged scheme, authorities say Love pretended to be a wide receiver in person and on social media to project he was wealthy. Wealthy. Working out in 49ers gear and posing with an expensive car. [01:04:03] Speaker A: Looking sturdy. [01:04:05] Speaker B: Looking sturdy. [01:04:07] Speaker C: He allegedly developed romantic relationships with some women and claimed he wanted to build wealth and a future together. The affidavit shows screenshots of Instagram posts. Officials say he advertised non existent investments which Love claimed would generate massive returns to his victims. The alleged deception went as far as creating fake bank and investment accounts and balances to make their business seem real. One woman allegedly losing more than $87,000. [01:04:32] Speaker A: The problem with these scams is if the money is not readily available to turn around and give back to the victims, then the system either has to order the suspects or the defendants to pay it back. But they may not have the ability to do that at this point. [01:04:49] Speaker C: And officials say none of the victims ever received their money back. The criminal complaint says if any of them ask too many questions, they would be blocked online. And the FBI believes there are more victims out there and they're encouraging everyone to reach out to the FBI. [01:05:02] Speaker A: Rachel, shout out to GMA for making us reporting that story a little easier. [01:05:08] Speaker B: It's gonna turn into a dag on what they call it, a me too situation all the time with him. Yeah. [01:05:15] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, definitely. It probably will.
