[00:01:04] Speaker C: Gossip, music, news, entertainment, and heated discussions. DJ Blaze radio show starts now. [00:01:35] Speaker B: Yo, welcome back to another episode of the DJ Blaze radio show podcast. It's your boy. Be easy. And it's just me today. End of a Monday. I wanted to do this yesterday, but I felt like relaxing yesterday. You know what I'm saying? It was my birthday, so I just decided to chill. I sat in my recliner, I watched tv, I played PlayStation, and then I went and got some chicken. Or as the french say, yabway. I think that's french for yard bird. Anyway, um, yeah, so that's what I did yesterday. So I was like, well, today, you know what I'm saying? Had a little long day at work, went to the gym and hoop, you know what I'm saying? Got a triple double on them boys. But you know what I'm saying? I wanted to come and record a little something for y'all. You know what I'm saying? Cause this time last year, we did the show and we put out our gift list. Gift registry with an Amazon gift list. That's what it was. You know what I'm saying? Y'all send us stuff, so you know what I'm saying? I still appreciate that. That's why I always try to put a show out for the listeners every week, because y'all show us love. So I gotta return the favor. Return the love. And one other way that y'all show us love is by sending us emails. And we got an email from the homie, dj high star from Carolina, sports talk shout out to him and big cliff, he says, yur. What up, gang? You and Jones took me back last week with Internet shows. I think you referring to money and violence. Yeah, I think that is it. With them dudes. They was like, haitian in like, New York or whatever. It came out in. Ooh, what year was that? Maybe like 2014 or 15, something like that, he said. But that and respect life both. Both was my vibes. RPD Melo from respect life both gave that street element with the OG wisdom, but can't shake the street life. What's up with y'all? Almost hoodie season. These kids and teachers getting back to it. Football is finally back to see UMB Cliff be doing that, talking about football is finally back. And over the summer, in the spring, we had XFL, or what are they called? Is it XFL or USFL? I know they combined. I forgot what they made the league, but they had some good football, and they had, um. And they had, uh. What is it? Um, they had their championship or whatever, you know what I'm saying? And I tried to get y'all to talk about it on y'all show, but y'all kind of Cuban bead me. But anyway, he said, yeah, football is finally back, too. He said, breakdancing. I'm gonna leave it alone for now, but just know I'm shaking my damn head. I know this is. I know this is short, but y'all have a good show. And he put hash. Where is Amy? 22. Shit, I don't know. Call her and ask her. But, yeah, that breakdancing shit in the Olympics was wild. I've been listening to podcasts, you know what I'm saying, all week. And they were talking about the lady that had all the crazy moves. I think she was from Australia. And they were saying, like, the reason she got into the Olympics was because the, like, dance committee that's in Australia, like, her husband, run it, and they basically rigged it for her to go. So they, like, investigating them. But then I heard something like, she's, like, a professor at some college and that she teaches, like, hip hop and dance and stuff like that. They say she really can dance, but they just took, like, some of her worst moves of that performance or whatever. But either way, she made a mockery of the culture. And so now we won't have breakdancing or breaking in the Olympics in 2028 in LA. So congratulations, white woman. What are we. Oh, yeah. What I watched this week, you know, I watch a lot of television, you know what I'm saying? And one of the shows I was watching yesterday on my birthday, while I was just relaxing, was a show on Apple TV called the Changeling. Let's start with some familiar faces, but the star of the show is Lakeith Stanfield. He's the main protagonist or whatever. And I'm ashamed to say that I watched all eight episodes, and I'm also ashamed to say is, I don't know what the fuck happened. By the end of this, I thought it was gonna be one thing, and then it was something else. But, yeah, maybe they'll come back and I can figure it out. Yeah, I watched that. I think I said I watched. I rewatched Game of Thrones, which is, you know, in top three shows of all time for me. I don't know if y'all know about righteous gemstones. That's an HBO show. They film it down in Charleston, a lot of it. I don't know if they filmed the whole thing there, but I know they filmed major parts of it in Charleston in season three. I stopped watching it. I got back into it. It's like a comedy kind of picking at, like, mega churches or whatever. So I started rewatching that. That's on Max. And then mayor of Kingstowne. You can watch that on prime or, I think Paramount. Plus mayor of Kingstowne. It's pretty good. It's a my man rob from the black guy who tips. He calls, like, movies, like, taken mission impossible. What's the movie with Keanu Reeves where he do all the shooting? Why is it. Why am I drawing a blank? What's that movie? John Wick, he called all of those impossible white man movies where they do all this shooting and killing and stuff, and they barely get a scratch, but they still make it to the end. And that's how may of Kingstowne is. He do all the shooting and killing and slicing necks and stuff. Never get shot. He always makes it to the end. And they had their third season, so I watched that. So that's what I caught up on. Cause a lot of people been telling me that show was good. So I watched that. You know them apps. You know, we be on them apps, and I checked out them apps, and I watched Deadpool, and Deadpool was just a movie about nothing. I don't know if y'all enjoyed it. Y'all went to the movies to see it. People were talking about. It was so great. It was entertaining, but it was just nothing. It was just a bunch of nothing. And right now, I'm watching the Planet of the Apes movie, the new one that's on Hulu already. I'm surprised it's already on Hulu. I feel like it came out, like, a month ago. So that's on Hulu if y'all want to see it. So that's what I've been watching. Email us djbladeshoremail.com. let us know what you've been watching. Put us up on something. Y'all always got me talking about. Put me up on a tv show. I need something to binge. Yeah. Oh, umbrella academy just came back out. I think it just came back out last week or week before last. I haven't watched it yet, but I haven't heard good reviews about that season. So if y'all watch Umbrella Academy on Netflix, that's back out. I guess we get into some news real quick since it's me, myself, and I like Beyonce say, ain't that what Beyonce say? Anyway, I guess we'll start with Elon Musk. It seems like he's been having some financial woes and his stock is going down. Yeah, he said I would be expecting something between one and $2 billion in stock. That's what Bradford Ferguson said. He's the president and chief investment officer of asset manager at Ferguson Financial. Said Elon stock could lose between five and 10% of his value. So all of that money that he make, 10% is a lot of, um. Said that, uh, he lost, like, uh, at x, he lost 53% compared to what they were a year ago. So he ain't doing good. Niggas buying them cybertrucks and they tearing up. I've been hearing how that people been getting. Having problems with them. Like, they been getting the trucks and they been dirty. Panels been missing, the winds. One person said they got the truck and the windshield had, like, some kind of film on it that was hard to clean off. Just a lot of. He got a lot of shit going on. He ain't a business person that we think he is. Plus, he racist anyway. So f him and his cars and trucks and x. This happened in South Carolina. It was a lady. She got a $30 million settlement. Well, her family got the settlement because she was killed. This teacher was killed by a rotting 70 year old utility pole. They'll get $30 million through a wrongful death settlement. They reached that last Thursday. Dominion Energy. They installed a light pole in a communications company, Corporium, which owned a drooping power line in downtown Wagonere. I guess that's. Yeah, I think that's how you say it. Wagoner that was no longer in use. Both of them had to sign up on the agreement, and they were bought by. Her name is Janelle Robinson. They bought it. Her family bought that suit up. So last August, a truck snagged the line that was hanging. That was comporium's line, and it pulled, and it broke the light poles launched one of the poles in the air, and it hit her. And she was grabbing lunch during her lunch break as a social studies teacher at Wagner Sally High School, and it struck her in the head and killed her. Now, the truck that snagged the line, it was legal high. It wasn't too high. So it wasn't in the wrong. It was the line that was coming from the pole was wrong, was too low. And then the polls were 70 years old. We should have been replaced. So she died a short time later at the hospital, but they came together and paid her family $30 million. And I want to do something to leave a legacy for my family. I want to bestow upon my family a whole bunch of money, but I want to be alive to see them get the money. You know what I'm saying? Well, if I die, I do want my family to get rich off my death. I don't want to just be dead. Like, I don't want no nigga to kill me at the gas station. And all my family get is my insurance money if I die. You know what I'm saying? Let it be from Dominion energy, a duke power pediatric co op, or something like that. The way my family can be rich. Cause no matter what people tell you, dying broke, grieving while you broke, and grieving while you got a whole bunch of money, it feel different. You gonna grieve. But I'd rather grieve in a Rolls Royce than grieving, whatever else. Yeah. Condolences to her, her family. And I'm glad they did get that money. $30 million. Now, that changed their family's changed the trajectory of that family. Another death news, which is kind of striking or sad news. There was a man that sued Disney. Well, he tried to sue Disney over a wrongful death suit, but he can't. Doctor. Oh, lord. Kanoka porn, Tang swan. Him and his wife, they were at Disney world, and they went to Raglan Road, irish pub. It was him. No, I'm sorry, doctor Canacorn. That's the woman's name. I'm sorry. She was allergic to us. She had a severe allergy to nuts and dairy. She always had her epipen with her, and she would repeatedly remind restaurants about her allergies before dining out. So last October, they went to Raglan Row irish pub and restaurant near Disney World with her husband and her mother in law. She told the wake staff about. She asked them whether or not they could prepare allergen free food. And after they got their assurances, you know, she ordered, ate her food, and then within an hour, she collapsed, and then later died of a anaphylaxis shock due to elevated levels of dairy and nuts in her system. So in February, her widow, Jeff Piccolo, he filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Ragland Road in Disney and Florida state court, alleging negligence and mental pain and suffering. But now, Disney argued that the case can't proceed because back in November 2019, Piccolo uses Sony PlayStation to sign up for a free trial of Disney. Now, I know you wonder, what does that got to do with this tragic and preventable death? Well, Disney provides digital terms of service via click wrap the box of dents. Legalese that. You know what I'm saying? Everybody, you just hit agree, hit agree, and you keep going on. So in order to register for Disney plus, he had to select agree and continue on a subscriber agreement, which states in capital letters that any dispute between Disney and the consumer must be resolved by individual binding arbitration, a form of out of court dispute resolution that notoriously and consistently favors corporations over regular people. The subscriber agreement also references a separate terms of use document, which similarly provides that all disputes must be resolved through individual arbitration. So he can't take it to court. So. And when he bought Epcot tickets back in September 2023, he agreed to another set of terms and conditions that apply to ticket holders, terms that apply in addition to and not in lieu of the Disney terms of use. So for what it's worth, those epcot tickets were never used. The restaurant at which they ate, it's open to the public. And she died two days before the planned visit to the theme park itself. But they filed. Disney filed a motion to compel arbitration, arguing that piccolo cannot credibly dispute that a valid arbitration agreement exists and that his acceptance of terms of service means he cannot get into court. So, in other words, because he wanted Disney, he can't sue them. So, yeah, I think they gonna try to take it to Supreme Court, but we'll see. That's sad. So, you know, everybody do it. I do it. You know, you get the phone, you get these apps, and all of this, and all you do is hit a agree, agree. We never read. We never read. I think something like that happened with Instagram. When people found out that Instagram was saving their pictures, and they were like, they didn't want them to save it, but people were like, well, you should have looked at the terms of service. So nobody's gonna read all of that stuff. Nobody's gonna read all of that stuff. And that's why they put it in there. But I hope they do get some money from Disney. Let's see what else happened this week real quick before I get out of here. I know y'all. Did y'all hear about this? There's a New York couple that reveal how much they saved on their wedding after charging guests dollar 333 to attend. So, yeah, they're going viral after revealing they saved thousands of dollars by charging a fee to attend the names of Nova and Remo Stiles. And they got married in June of 2023. But their wedding day hack recently picked up steam after recap videos of their occasion went viral. She told ABC Seven that they considered their wedding a premium event and decided, guess they pay the price. She said people choose to go to Beyonce concerts because they know that they're going to have an experience. Let's put the stress on the guests and let's sell tickets for a wedding. The husband, he revealed that he initially believed people weren't going to attend. Ultimately, 60 of the 150 invited guests paid and came, but some people clapped back at the fee and estimated 80% of their guests bowed out. And the couple enjoyed their dream wedding and saved an estimated $70,000 with their guest contributions. That's crazy. So what did they get? What did the wedding guest get besides, you know what I'm saying, being at the wedding, they said that the wedding guest, the ticket earned friends and family a spot on a double decker tour bus, a steak and lobster dinner, and a twelve hour New York City adventure. Okay, that's cool. Now, it's this other guy. He said he want to charge 450, so I don't know how good they gonna do, but I saw a lot of people talking about that. I don't know if I pay 333 to go to somebody's wedding, I really don't be wanting to go to weddings. No way. The only time I really go to weddings is when I'm in em. Shout out to ace, ace and toya. Shout out to B Mac. Yeah, I don't remember the last two weddings I was in. Oh, I was in 40 wedding, too. Shout out to 40 fonz from the Scumbag lounge podcast. Yeah, I ain't really too much on weddings. I damn sure I ain't paying. I'll get you a gift, you know, $100 or something, but yeah, 333, I don't think I'll do that. Let's see what else happened this week before we get out of here. Let me see. Oh, have y'all seen the new lip gloss? From everybody's favorite rapper, sexy red. And I heard about this before. I don't know if y'all heard about it, but she's dropping her first line of lip glosses. And people are talking mainly because of the names of the stuff, I guess, the colors or the fragrances or whatever. Coochie juice is one, booty hole. Brown is another. Sex on my period and gonorrhea. So yeah, those are some of the names. Interesting. I want to, I haven't seen too much of the discussion about, like I said today, I was had a long day at work. Then I went to the gym and played ball. But I don't know, I want to see what the people saying about it. Email us djblayshowmail.com. i want to know what you think about these sexy red lip glosses that you're going to buy them. Do you think it represents her brand? Because I'm kind of shocked at some of these names. But you, you know, hey, girl, what you got on your lips? I got that coochie juice. But yeah, shout out to her. Really wasn't too much news going on this week. It was a story about some inmates. They got 26 years cause they were selling drugs in jail. But shit, that's what happened in jail. Shit. Niggas sell drugs, nigga. Hell, how you think they got in there selling damn drugs? Ah. It's time for our quick hits real quick. Wiley Amos, founder of famous Amos cookies. He died, he died last week, actually. Well, no, he died early this week. He died at 88. He survived by his wife Carol, and he had some children, Sarah, Michael, Gregory, and Sean. So he had a battle with dementia. He was born in Tallahassee, but he built his brand from one bakery in Hollywood, California, in 1975 in a family recipe. Now, I heard that he liked some kind of way, he sold a recipe to the company that had it now. But I don't want to say they scanned him out of it, but it wasn't really a good deal for him. So he came back and he had like another brand. He had another brand that was out after that. But, yeah, he passed away this week. Well, I'm sorry, last week. It was last week. In other deaf news, Phil Donahue, talk show host and a pioneer of tv hosts. He passed away today, actually, he was 88. Also. They didn't disclose his cause of death, but his family said he's been suffering for a long time. He a legend in the talk show game, you know what I'm saying? He liked the precursor to shows like Montel Williams and Jared Springer. Oprah Winfrey. She described him as a trailblazer who invented smart talk in the afternoon and brought startling new ideas into the living rooms and laundry rooms of american women. So, yeah, condolences to him and his family. Phil Donahue. So, yeah, another quick hit. News. Rainfall. Edmond. You street niggas know who raphael edmonds is? He's a legend in the drug dealing world. They kind of made, like, a reference to him. Paid in full when Rico was like, he was going down to DC to hustle. That's who. He was going down to DC to hustle with. Raphael Edmond. But he's set to be released from prison next year. Um, and one last thing. It was one. Oh, we talking about Disney and all of that. And, you know, I mentioned a few weeks ago about a series I was watching on Disney called acolyte. Well, if you watch that show, you gotta just watch season one. Cause there will be no season two. They canceled it. So we'll never know how they gon. How they were gonna finish that story up. And I like that show, too. Um, so, yeah, that's it for the quick hits. I did fraud today hey. Okay. I did fraud today a good job today. Okay. Could the blessings come from God? Cuz I'm committing fraud. I did fraud today hey, good job today, okay. I did fraud today, hey. I did fraud today, okay. I did a good job today. Blessings come from God. Cause I'm committing fraud. I did fraud today. I did a good job today ah. You know what that song means? It means time for our scammer of the week. And this week, this scammer this week, it comes from one of the listeners shout out to, I call him big money Frank. Now, he sent me this. Now, I don't know who is the scammer. I don't know if the people in the story, the woman in the story is a scammer or both of them. Cause something they say in this story make it feel like it's fake. And they trying to get over on a radio host. But I'm gonna play it, and y'all let me know what y'all think. [00:26:07] Speaker C: Hey, welcome back. Let's call this guy Adam. You guys met at a party, exchanged numbers, went on a date that went really well. There was a sleepover, and you hooked up and all that. Except now he's ghosting you. He's not responding to you, he's not reaching out. You want to know why? Yeah, it makes sense. Let's call him now. Good luck, Margaret. [00:26:24] Speaker B: Thanks. [00:26:26] Speaker D: Hello? [00:26:26] Speaker C: Hi. Is this Adam? [00:26:29] Speaker B: This is. [00:26:29] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:26:30] Speaker C: Hi, Adam. Good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling from the Fred show, the morning radio show, and the whole crew is here, and I have to tell you that we are on the radio right now, and I would need your permission to continue with the call. Is it okay if we chat for just a second? [00:26:42] Speaker D: I guess. What is this about? [00:26:44] Speaker C: I'll take that as a yes and thank you. You can hang up anytime if you want, but we're calling on behalf of a woman who says she met you at a party and you guys went out recently. Her name is Margaret. Do you remember meeting Margaret? [00:26:54] Speaker D: Yeah, I remember meeting Margaret. [00:26:56] Speaker C: Okay, so what happened? Because she called us and told us about meeting you and said you were very handsome and was excited to go out with you and told us about the date and did say that she went home with you and all of that, but says she can't get ahold of you now. She feels like she's being ghosted. So what's going on? [00:27:12] Speaker D: Well, you guys aren't going to believe this, and I'm definitely okay to talk about this. I just want to say. [00:27:17] Speaker B: Okay, well, thank you. [00:27:19] Speaker D: After our first date, I noticed one of my credit cards was hacked, and there was a bunch of charges on it that I didn't make. [00:27:27] Speaker B: Okay. [00:27:27] Speaker C: All right. [00:27:28] Speaker D: So I canceled the card right away, but luckily, one of the stores where it was charged is actually owned by a friend of mine. And so I went there, and they checked the security footage she showed me, and it was Margaret. [00:27:42] Speaker C: Okay. [00:27:43] Speaker D: She took my card info. [00:27:44] Speaker C: So, like, in the middle of the night or something while you're sleeping or whatever. You think she stole? [00:27:49] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. She paid with her phone, so that means she grabbed my card while I was sleeping, added it to her apple pay. [00:27:58] Speaker C: Wow. Okay. And then the only way you really can prove this is because you were able to go, I don't know, look at the security footage you said and talk to the guy who owned the store. And so it just so happens that you, like, you have actual proof that she did this. [00:28:14] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Did you call the face? I saw her pay. [00:28:17] Speaker C: Like, why don't you call the police? [00:28:19] Speaker D: Oh, I did. She'll be hearing from my lawyer. [00:28:21] Speaker C: Oh, now what lawyer? I forgot to mention that Margaret is here. Let me bring Margaret in. Margaret? Girl, what are you doing? You're a thief. Margaret. [00:28:30] Speaker D: Hey, Margaret. [00:28:31] Speaker C: Margaret, are you there? [00:28:33] Speaker D: Hey, Margaret. Just expect a call from my lawyer. Okay? [00:28:36] Speaker C: Well, you don't have to yell, but she's not across the room. But actually, she, um. She's no longer here. She hung up. [00:28:44] Speaker B: Come on, everyone knows you just say cash. Margaret. Y'all want me to speak? Who has cash these days, man? [00:28:49] Speaker C: Margaret's gone. She hung up. [00:28:51] Speaker B: Yeah. So shout out to Frank for sending that. Mama always said, oh, lord, let me turn it off. I wonder if that was real. I remember back in the day when they were doing MTV Spring break and it was Jerry Springer, and he had a couple up there, and it was like, you know, they found out that one of them was cheating and they started kind of like fighting on there. But come to find out, it was a. They faked. They got over on Jerry Springer's show. Like, all of them was in on it. And, like, if you go back and look at the fight, like they were swinging on each other, but they never really connected. No real punches and all of that. And you know what I'm saying? Jerry was like, yeah, they got us. You know, normally they have time to vet the people and vet the stories or whatever, but because it was spring break, they couldn't go through their same, like, levels of due diligence for the people or whatever. So shout out to Frank with that. But Margaret is. I don't know if I would call Margaret if this is real. I don't know if I would call Margaret a scammer, per se. She might just be a thief, might just be a teeth them. But yeah, so that was our scammer of the week. Shout out to Frank with that. Listen, y'all, thank y'all for joining me today. I really. I really wanted to get a show out and I didn't have no guests, you know what I'm saying? Shout out to Jones and Dougie and Wiley June last week for sitting in. You know what I'm saying? I didn't know. I really didn't know whether or not I was on the court yesterday. Well, I knew I wasn't. Cause it was my birthday. I just wanted to chill, but I really wanted to put something out, you know what I'm saying? Cause I be getting calls like, where the show at? Man, you ain't putting no show out. A text message, man, y'all. Y'all ain't recording. You forgot to put your show up. So, you know, wanted to do something hopefully y'all enjoyed. If y'all did, let me know. Djbladeshowmail.com. check back Wednesday. Cause y'all know the pop the balloon show. I'm have a special guest that was a contestant on that show and I'm. I got a whole bunch of questions I want to ask about that show because that show went viral. It went crazy viral real quick. And I've been thinking like that show been out for a while. Like they had all of these episodes on but like her episode just came out and it's only on episode 19 and all those episodes we get like two, 3 million views and stuff. So I want to kind of get her experience on that, you know, her perspective because she was clowning on my man on that. On her, you know, the guys on there. But you know, check back Wednesday. We'll have that interview up. I might put it out live, I don't know, might do the video or whatever. But yeah, man, check back for that on Wednesday. At any rate, thank you all for listening. It's your boy. Be easy and I'm out. [00:31:41] Speaker C: Let those who have ears listen. This is the DJ blaze.
