[00:01:44] Speaker C: Yep, yep.
[00:01:45] Speaker D: It's your boy. Be easy.
[00:01:46] Speaker B: It's your girl, Corey.
[00:01:47] Speaker C: It's your boy, Al.
[00:01:49] Speaker D: Lady gentlemen, how are you guys?
[00:01:52] Speaker B: Wonderful.
[00:01:53] Speaker C: Great.
[00:01:55] Speaker D: Wednesday, nice Wednesday, nice Wednesday, the weather is weathering.
[00:01:58] Speaker B: Weather's weathering.
[00:01:59] Speaker C: Yep, yep.
[00:02:00] Speaker B: It's hot.
[00:02:01] Speaker D: All cold.
[00:02:02] Speaker B: It's hot. 72 degrees.
[00:02:04] Speaker D: Thank you. 72.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: 72 degrees.
[00:02:05] Speaker C: Not yet.
[00:02:06] Speaker D: I don't think it's 72.
[00:02:07] Speaker B: Yeah, Wednesday it's 72 degrees.
[00:02:10] Speaker C: We're gonna see.
[00:02:11] Speaker D: What if they listen to early in the morning?
[00:02:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I know it ain't 72.
[00:02:14] Speaker B: Probably about 63.
[00:02:16] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:02:17] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:02:17] Speaker D: Now you got me looking at the weather.
Oh, Wednesday, 72.
[00:02:22] Speaker C: Go up, people. Why they looking for the weather? Today's show is going to be top five TV show themes.
[00:02:31] Speaker B: The theme songs.
[00:02:32] Speaker D: Theme songs. I was thinking, did we do this on the show before?
[00:02:35] Speaker B: I think it doesn't matter because we weren't here. Yeah, it don't matter. Oh, yeah, don't matter.
[00:02:41] Speaker D: Talk your shots fire.
[00:02:44] Speaker C: Shots fired.
[00:02:45] Speaker D: Talk your Pop your sometimes coriannelle.
[00:02:48] Speaker B: Oh, with be easy now.
[00:02:49] Speaker C: Hey, I'm just sitting back.
[00:02:50] Speaker B: I Three musketeers. Pop pop your we here.
[00:02:54] Speaker D: Did you call me a.
Did you What?
[00:02:57] Speaker B: When I'm joking.
[00:02:59] Speaker D: You gotta roll with the jokes.
[00:03:00] Speaker C: I'm like, yeah, he's a.
[00:03:03] Speaker D: See we matching. See we matching.
You gotta know sometimes you gotta know it. You gotta know what to wear.
[00:03:11] Speaker B: What color is your underwear.
[00:03:13] Speaker C: Whoa, ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
[00:03:16] Speaker D: See, See, that's what's wrong. That's why it's a double standard.
[00:03:19] Speaker C: Yeah, we're not.
[00:03:20] Speaker D: I double standards. Cause I cannot if you Walk in the room and I say, hey, what color is your underwear?
[00:03:25] Speaker B: No, no, no. You already know why I'm saying that.
[00:03:27] Speaker D: No, I'm gonna clip that part out. I'm gonna clip that part out and I'm gonna put it on.
[00:03:32] Speaker C: Yes, please do.
[00:03:33] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But before we clip anything out, before we get started with all this, we got an email from the homie Philly. Shout out to Philly.
And this is from the guilty pledges episode.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: No boy.
[00:03:49] Speaker D: He said, yo, Bull.
Yo, Elle, Yo, Corey.
Nobody be easy now. What did I say? The word.
My first one that y'all picked on me all week for cookies. There you go.
He said, I don't want you, Bull. Nothing else on the list will elicit more of a laugh than cookies did.
Gotta agree with Bull and Cory. Buying little kids who can't afford stuff in the store isn't a guilty pleasure. You're giving back to the hood like Nino Brown. Elle, that's a commendable act.
[00:04:29] Speaker C: You know what? You know, I thought about that, and I think it's a guilty pleasure. Cause I don't tell people I do that.
[00:04:34] Speaker D: Yeah, that's weird.
[00:04:36] Speaker B: Why should he tell.
[00:04:37] Speaker D: You should get the credit you deserve. At least your wife, she know.
[00:04:42] Speaker B: She know.
[00:04:43] Speaker D: She people.
I don't tell nobody.
[00:04:46] Speaker C: I mean, she's been there. That's the only.
[00:04:48] Speaker D: Oh, she's.
[00:04:49] Speaker C: She knows. Oh, she knows. If something. Matter of fact, when that episode came out, that.
When that episode came out. Monday, right?
So Tuesday night. Tuesday night, I'm walking in a Walmart out of town. A lady's outside with two kids, asked for Pampers.
[00:05:09] Speaker D: You went in about Pampers, went and brought the Pampers.
[00:05:11] Speaker C: But before I went all the way in, I asked the greeter, I said, hey, do those people be out there all the time asking for money? He said, no, but don't give them nothing. Don't give them. I was like, if she needs Pampers, I'm giving the Pampers.
[00:05:22] Speaker B: Especially if she's not there all the time asking for help.
[00:05:25] Speaker D: I don't like shit like that. Like, it was a lady. I was getting fuel at the truck stop, and the lady, she drove up in her SUV or whatever. She's like, sir, you got any money for gas? I just need a gallon of gas. I don't got no cash. She was white.
[00:05:42] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:05:43] Speaker D: And a woman.
[00:05:44] Speaker C: Oh, she got it.
[00:05:45] Speaker D: And she could have got. She could have sold it. So.
[00:05:49] Speaker C: But what I did before that double standard sell it.
[00:05:54] Speaker B: I went, damn.
[00:05:55] Speaker C: I went inside to the.
We return. Shit.
[00:06:00] Speaker D: Customer service Customer care, customer service.
[00:06:02] Speaker C: Customer service to make sure customer service was closed. Cause I didn't want to go in there and buy them Pampers. And she went in there, exchanged them.
So it's either that or I was gonna poke my finger through the hole of the barcode so she couldn't return her.
[00:06:16] Speaker D: Oh, but, but they can type it in though.
[00:06:20] Speaker C: I got finished. I would open them up.
But yeah.
[00:06:24] Speaker D: And you keep the receipt.
[00:06:25] Speaker C: Yes, I brought it. And yeah, I definitely threw the receipt away before I give it to him.
[00:06:28] Speaker D: Word. He says, corey, do you enjoy drinking more by yourself or with people?
[00:06:33] Speaker B: By myself.
[00:06:35] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:06:36] Speaker B: Because I start writing after I'm either listening to a book or I'm writing and the creative juices are going. So I'm in the zone.
[00:06:46] Speaker D: He says, well damn. L has. Well. He said, well damn. L has a whole arsenal. Eh, Respect. Being armed to protect you and your peoples.
Farting around little kids in stores to blame them for that smell is diabolical.
[00:07:00] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:07:02] Speaker D: Don't have any guilty pleasures. I like what I like. Don't care if said things are held in high regard or not. So I put my twist on my Joan and list five not guilty pleasures in no particular order.
[00:07:14] Speaker B: It's pleasures.
[00:07:15] Speaker D: Yeah.
Money, women, sneakers, clothes, shisha.
Live sporting events.
[00:07:27] Speaker C: Shisha.
[00:07:28] Speaker D: Yeah. You know what?
[00:07:30] Speaker B: She should, right?
[00:07:31] Speaker C: Is that the friggin proper name for hookah?
[00:07:35] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. He said another good episode. Can't wait to hear the next list of regular Jones. Appreciate you, philly.
Email us dj Blazhore gmail.com, let us know your top five, especially theme songs.
Let me see. So we gonna kick this thing off here.
[00:07:59] Speaker C: I'm gonna let the people know from here on my five. Are they probably my top fives because they're the most famous? Like when the theme song come on and you can repeat the words of the theme song itself. Those, I consider those my tops.
[00:08:17] Speaker D: Okay, so your first one.
[00:08:20] Speaker C: My first one is the Facts of Life.
[00:08:22] Speaker D: Number five is the Facts of Life.
[00:08:23] Speaker C: Yeah. Facts of Life.
[00:08:25] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:08:25] Speaker C: Come on, man.
[00:08:26] Speaker D: Why do you like just the words?
[00:08:27] Speaker C: Listen.
Come on, man, that's. That's a classic right there.
[00:08:35] Speaker D: This just reminds me of WGN for some reason. Like it used to be on syndication on wgn.
[00:08:44] Speaker C: Come on, man. That's it.
[00:08:46] Speaker D: You take the good, you take the bad.
[00:08:48] Speaker C: Pink and bone.
[00:08:49] Speaker D: You don't even know the words. Yeah, you know, you know when I get to mine, I'm gonna know the words.
[00:08:54] Speaker C: Oh, okay.
[00:08:54] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm gonna know the words.
[00:08:55] Speaker C: Well, you better not do it. What? Not that number one.
[00:09:00] Speaker D: What do you think my number one is?
[00:09:02] Speaker C: It can be. What's what? I think your number one can be.
[00:09:05] Speaker D: You might not know me.
Your number one? Uh oh. Not healthcare.gov. not in this economy.
[00:09:12] Speaker C: Cory, you ready?
[00:09:14] Speaker B: Yes, I am.
[00:09:15] Speaker C: What's your number five? He getting ready.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: My number five. Please don't judge me. The Twilight Zone.
[00:09:21] Speaker D: Spooky.
[00:09:22] Speaker C: Okay. The theme music.
[00:09:24] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:25] Speaker C: Cause they didn't sing it.
[00:09:25] Speaker D: It's iconic.
[00:09:26] Speaker B: They didn't song. Yeah, it's so iconic.
[00:09:28] Speaker D: It is.
[00:09:29] Speaker B: And everybody uses it when something creepy happens or something. Cause somebody. Yeah, somebody would just be. Oh my God.
Like.
[00:09:37] Speaker D: Yeah, I use it on the music Jones. When Doogie is talking about some conspiracy shit. I play this for him. See?
[00:09:44] Speaker C: Oh, that's perfect.
[00:09:45] Speaker D: Yeah, that's perfect.
[00:09:46] Speaker B: I love the Twilight Zone.
[00:09:48] Speaker D: Shout out to the Twilight Zone.
[00:09:49] Speaker C: Twilight Z. I remember Shout out to the Twilight Zone.
[00:09:52] Speaker B: And I watched it a lot as a kid too.
[00:09:54] Speaker D: I was too scary.
It wasn't even good like that as far as, like the graphics, but. Because it was black and white. But it was too creepy.
[00:10:00] Speaker B: It was just creepy.
[00:10:00] Speaker D: I don't like creepy. I don't like creepy.
[00:10:03] Speaker C: It was creepy.
[00:10:04] Speaker D: It was creepy as hell.
Not free. I like freaky, but creepy. Nope, not mine.
[00:10:11] Speaker B: If y'all want to hear about that, go back to the last episode. We got here a whole lot.
[00:10:16] Speaker D: Now, mine has a lot of seasons, but this season might be my favorite of this one. Shout out to the OG Bobby McFerrin. Y'all don't know about Bobby McFarland.
[00:10:30] Speaker C: Come on. Don't worry. Be happy.
[00:10:31] Speaker D: Okay.
He did all this with his mouth.
Yeah. The Cosby Show, Season four.
[00:10:39] Speaker C: So this was your favorite theme of the Cosbys?
[00:10:42] Speaker D: Of the Cosbys, probably so.
[00:10:45] Speaker C: For real?
[00:10:45] Speaker D: Yeah. I like. Listen, you gotta. You gotta shake your head to the side with Cosby. Yeah.
And the kids were growing up, you know, kids were growing up. They did a little dances. Yeah, I. I did like the one when they would like kind of tropical and they was doing all of that.
[00:11:04] Speaker C: Oh, that was close to the last.
[00:11:06] Speaker D: Close to. Yeah. Close to the end. Yeah, this was a good one. They had one that was a little bit more jazzy, hip hoppy.
[00:11:12] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:11:13] Speaker D: But yeah, this one probably was the one. Cause this just reminds. That one just reminded me of growing up. Well, so you know what I'm saying? You know, I was raised by religion or whatever. So on Thursday nights, that's when.
[00:11:29] Speaker C: 8 o'clock.
[00:11:30] Speaker D: That's when the Cosby show came on.
[00:11:31] Speaker C: 8 o'clock.
[00:11:32] Speaker D: But we went home. So my stepdaddy used to record it on Thursday nights, and then we would come back and watch it. So I just remember him playing that, watching it. Oh, man, he will. You know, he had the vcr. You had to set the recording and all that. But he would watch. And I just remember that one vividly that. That. That version, you know.
[00:11:49] Speaker C: Did you put the tape in?
[00:11:50] Speaker D: Oh, he. That was his job. That had recordings of everything. You know what I'm saying? Football game, just all kind of. But anyway, your number four.
[00:11:59] Speaker C: My number four. All right. This is. This goes with. Like I said, when it comes on, you singing it.
Everybody knows this theme song, man. The Jeffersons.
[00:12:11] Speaker D: Black people, for sure.
[00:12:12] Speaker C: Of course.
[00:12:13] Speaker D: Shout out to Norman Lear.
[00:12:15] Speaker C: Come on in the sky.
[00:12:17] Speaker B: Ha ha.
[00:12:18] Speaker C: Come on.
[00:12:19] Speaker D: And that line. That line made into a lot of, like, shit. Like, I want my deluxe apartment in the sky high. Like that.
[00:12:26] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yep. And it probably was a church song. That part was my favorite.
[00:12:32] Speaker B: I think it's going to burn on the grill.
[00:12:35] Speaker D: That was what you call the singing, ain't it? Oh, no, it wasn't. Aretha. No. Didn't she sing a version?
[00:12:41] Speaker C: I don't know.
[00:12:42] Speaker D: Aretha.
[00:12:43] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:12:44] Speaker D: Maybe not. No. It was Florence singing. For real, I want to say. No, she sung. She sang somebody's.
[00:12:55] Speaker C: We got to look that up.
[00:12:56] Speaker D: She's saying somebody's theme song.
[00:12:59] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:12:59] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[00:13:00] Speaker C: Y. The Jeffersons.
[00:13:02] Speaker D: Shout out to George. George, Wheezy George. I'm horny.
What's your number four? That's a George.
Oh, this is a bop right here.
[00:13:15] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:13:16] Speaker D: So just let me know your age a little bit.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: Nope. You still won't guess it. The proud family. Family. Every single day, night. Even when you start acting like a fool, you know I'm loving every single thing you do.
[00:13:29] Speaker C: Who's that 3L.
[00:13:30] Speaker B: You do not disrespect Destiny's Child and Solange.
[00:13:34] Speaker D: That's a lounge.
[00:13:35] Speaker B: It's Solange and Destiny's Child. Let me say it right.
[00:13:38] Speaker D: I don't think it's all of Destiny's Child.
[00:13:40] Speaker B: Yeah, it was all three of them, but it was Salon. She was the main one.
[00:13:44] Speaker D: Oh, cuz, I just. When I was looking for this sound, it was a video of Solange and Kelly, and then they said some kind of way Beyonce came, but I don't know if she was supposed to be there.
[00:13:55] Speaker B: Oh, I don't. I don't think Michelle was there. I don't know.
[00:13:58] Speaker D: Yeah, but I don't Know for sure anyway. But yeah, this is.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: Yeah, this is a classic.
[00:14:02] Speaker D: It's a band. It's another. It's a video of a band playing that. I think it's Jackson State played that.
But shout out to.
[00:14:10] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, the proud family.
[00:14:12] Speaker D: Now, mine is a cartoon. Also. This take me back to when I was in elementary. Get home from school. Middle school. My number four that was on the sun. I thought somebody. I thought, it's Dark Winged up.
[00:14:29] Speaker B: I see.
[00:14:31] Speaker C: Oh, the funny thing.
[00:14:32] Speaker D: Trouble you call dw.
Let's get dangerous.
[00:14:38] Speaker B: Just told us your age. Yes, that's funny.
[00:14:41] Speaker D: You better watch out, you bad boy.
Say that.
[00:14:48] Speaker B: Say that part one more time.
[00:14:50] Speaker D: Better watch out, you bad boys.
But check this out. So a lot of mine. I'm gonna go ahead and spoil. Bury the lead. A lot of mine are cartoons, but for some reason you can't save cartoons to a list on YouTube.
[00:15:10] Speaker B: Really?
[00:15:10] Speaker D: Yeah, because it's labeled as kids. So that ain't the original Dark Winged up, but it's a redo redoing now.
[00:15:19] Speaker B: Right.
[00:15:19] Speaker C: The original guy sing.
[00:15:21] Speaker D: I Wish a black man sang it.
[00:15:24] Speaker C: A white guy.
[00:15:25] Speaker D: No, it's a.
[00:15:26] Speaker C: Well, white guy wrote it. I'm gonna say that.
[00:15:28] Speaker D: I know it's one that a black guy sung a lot of those, like, those type of shows from back in that time. It was like he did like three or four of them. I can't remember which ones it was, though. But anyway, that's my number four. That's my number four.
[00:15:43] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:15:44] Speaker D: Yeah. Now your number three is a classic, of course.
[00:15:49] Speaker C: Come on, man. You don't have to say nothing. You just put it on.
[00:15:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:15:52] Speaker C: And just be like. You let people.
Is it gonna start.
[00:15:58] Speaker D: I got a question.
You know the second verse.
[00:16:04] Speaker B: It'S a song.
[00:16:05] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:16:06] Speaker C: Which part?
[00:16:07] Speaker D: The second verse. So after. After the.
The part to go off on the. With the car on the. On tv.
[00:16:14] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:16:15] Speaker D: It's another verse.
[00:16:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:16] Speaker D: I didn't know that they played it. They played it on the radio one day.
[00:16:20] Speaker C: Who's driving the taxi when he pulls off?
[00:16:25] Speaker D: Her son?
[00:16:26] Speaker C: Quincy Jones.
[00:16:27] Speaker D: That's. That ain't no Quincy Jones. I thought it was a Spanish guy.
[00:16:32] Speaker C: Look, it's gonna come up.
I don't know no second verse.
[00:16:36] Speaker B: Is it really?
[00:16:37] Speaker D: Oh, this is different, too.
[00:16:40] Speaker B: Yeah. This is the whole thing?
[00:16:41] Speaker D: Yeah, this is the whole thing.
[00:16:44] Speaker C: Oh, okay.
[00:16:47] Speaker B: Speaking of. Speaking of Will Smith, have y'all heard his new. His new songs coming out?
[00:16:52] Speaker D: We talked about.
[00:16:54] Speaker C: Yeah, we had it on. You was here.
[00:16:56] Speaker B: Yeah. No, there's a. There's one he just Dropped.
[00:16:59] Speaker D: Yeah, that's Quincy Jones.
[00:17:00] Speaker C: Quincy watching.
See him?
[00:17:04] Speaker D: I, I, I didn't recognize him.
[00:17:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:17:07] Speaker D: Shout out to Quincy. Yeah, yeah, this is a longer version.
[00:17:10] Speaker B: Rest in peace.
[00:17:11] Speaker C: Come on, man.
Come on. Well.
[00:17:16] Speaker D: I wonder if Quincy wrote this song. Well, not the rap verse, but the dated music.
[00:17:21] Speaker C: His name.
[00:17:22] Speaker D: Oh, no, that was not the show.
[00:17:23] Speaker C: But yeah, that was the show.
[00:17:25] Speaker D: That's a good one.
[00:17:26] Speaker C: Yeah, that was a good one.
[00:17:27] Speaker D: What's your number three?
[00:17:29] Speaker C: Number three? My number.
[00:17:30] Speaker B: My number three is flat app.
[00:17:37] Speaker D: I didn't watch this show.
[00:17:42] Speaker C: That's what that black girl, she still looked like. She looked back then.
[00:17:48] Speaker D: No, she don't. She looked grown as a.
[00:17:51] Speaker C: Her daughter looked just like her.
[00:17:52] Speaker D: No, I'm thinking about. No. Kyle Pratt plays Proud family.
[00:17:58] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:17:58] Speaker D: Oh my God. Jesus Christ. Kyle Pratt is fine.
Yes.
[00:18:02] Speaker B: You got some drool on the side. I do.
[00:18:06] Speaker D: I gotta leave it there for.
[00:18:07] Speaker C: Cause I'm drooling.
[00:18:09] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:18:10] Speaker C: Guru.
[00:18:13] Speaker D: Oh, why you stopped it? Oh, Eclipse. Oh, that song was over.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
