[00:00:01] Speaker A: Let's get it started in here. [00:00:08] Speaker B: Gossip, music, news, entertainment and heated discussions. The DJ Blaze Radio show starts now. [00:00:41] Speaker A: Welcome. Welcome back. Welcome back to another episode of the DJ Blaze Radio show podcast. It's your boy Be easy. And as you can see, it's. It's only me. Shout out to L Shout out to everybody. Hope y' all had a good week. Good weekend. A couple days late, but yeah, l hit me up like, Thursday, like, yeah, I ain't gonna be able to record this weekend. And then I normally do Jones show. And Jones hit me up and he was like, yeah, I ain't gonna be able to record Sunday. So I'm like, shoot, I got an off day. I took advantage of the off day. And then I was like, man, can't leave the people with nothing. So yesterday I was at work and I was like, man, I'm a. I'mma do something. Maybe a little single episode. And then High hit me up, was like, yo, y' all ain't recorded. I sent an email. So I like, yeah, I gotta do a show now and shout out to High Star, cuz. High Star, he. He does the show solo. So I'm like, yeah, I can do the show solo too. So I guess we'll get into the show, get into some. Some of the things that's been going on. First, I'll get into some of the stuff I've been watching. So y' all know I'm a big kid and I always like all the cartoons. So one of the cartoons I'm watching, one of the things I'm watching is. And it was playing just now, too, X Men 97. So if you old like me, you know, X Men was a thing back in the day. X Men 97, that's something that I. I watch. So I watch that every week. I've been watching that. Another one I've been watching is this new Batman junk called Batman. It's called Cape Crusader or something like that. Been watching that. Definitely keep up on that every week. President Curtis, that's a new one. If you watch Rick and Morty, it's the president from Rick and Morty. He got his own show. It's hilarious. Real good. Really, Mike? I don't know if it's better than Rick and Morty, but it's right up there. Then some other stuff I watched this week. House of the Dragon finale. That was good. It was real good. A lot of action. Got some dragons, got some death. Let me know what y' all think about it. I know a couple of the listeners Y' all watch that. Let me know what y' all think about that one Raising Canaan finale. I gotta admit, I gotta. I gotta give it up for Raising Candy. Man, they. They really did their thing. I've been kind of sleeping on the series because I've been like half watching. I watch a little bit here and there. I'll be watching it while I'm playing the game or something like that and really weren't paying attention. Only know like four characters names and this, that and the third. So when it got to the last season, this last season, I've been watching them and I've been paying attention more and some stuff I missed and some stuff I just. I don't know. I don't know. But the last season, they. I really like how. I don't want to spoil. Is it. Will it be spoiling? Because this is a couple days old. Bump it. Some of the deaths in it, how it tied up to the power series and all of that. I like how they did that. I like how they did that. The. Sean's mom is in this. They tied that in there. I like when shows like go back and they like create some stuff and. And then, you know, I'm saying they tie it together, like give you a little history of it or whatever. So I like that. From the raising Canaan. It was pretty good. Looking forward to the. The new series. I think it's called Origins or something like that. I guess we're gonna get little Ghost and little Tommy. They made a little cameo in there. So that was real good. Now I gotta tell y'. [00:04:31] Speaker C: All. [00:04:31] Speaker A: Oh, another thing I watched on Netflix, it's a. A documentary called A Toxic Love Story. This got about four or five twists and turns. It's about a guy and his new lady being stalked by his ex lady. And a whole lot of twists and turns with it. Death threats, she tried to get the lady sexually assaulted. All kind of is a crazy story, whirlwind roller coaster type John. But if you haven't seen that on Netflix, Toxic Love Story. That's a real good one. And I watched another Netflix documentary. It's got things called like the Idaho Murders or something. Like it's like three episodes about some college kids that got killed in university. I think so the University of Idaho or whatever. But that was. It was real. That was a good one too. Real suspenseful. I also got to go see that new Spider man movie. That new Spider man movie. I'm giving a 9 out of 10. Just when I thought they were doing a little Bit too much as far as, like, the dialogue and the love story part. They kind of switched it up and got into some action or whatever. So I really enjoyed that movie. I think that movie was like two and a half hours long or something. But it was worth it, though. It was worth it. Y', all, if you ain't had a chance to go see that, I know school's in. You got your kids and stuff. You gotta take your kids to school. Uh, if y' all ain't took your kids to see Spider man, go see that new Spider man movie. Now. One thing I wanna tell y', all, I mean, I talk about this show every time it comes back, but I wanna say that Lioness, I think it's called Special Ops Lioness on Paramount plus, might be the best show on TV right now. Action, little espionage, you know, women empowerment type, military, all that type of stuff. Shooting and killing. All of that is on. The show comes out every Sunday. And every Sunday morning when I wake up, I catch, I watch. It might be the best show on tv, these first two episodes of season three. Amazing. Amazing. Got some of everything you need in it. We even got to see Zoe Zaldana and Le Buff, if you know what I'm talking about. But yeah, I think that might be the best show on television. Yeah. But let me know what y' all watch. Email us dj blazeshowgmail.com, let us know what you think. Let us know what you're watching. I guess we'll get into some emails. Do got an email from the homie. DJ High Star, shout out to High Star. He had a real good episode. He was telling us about his trip to. We went St. Martin in Vegas with the homies and all of that. But I'm gonna get into his email real quick. Says, what you know, good. He says, you're. What up, bros? How y' all doing? Fresh off AK Vegas for a bachelor trip two weeks ago. Said, man, we should have had some cameras out there. Not Zeus Production, but. But bravo. Yeah. Cause Zeus. Wait, hold up. Are you saying Zeus production is bad? Are you saying Zeus Productions always wind up with a fight? All in all, I had an awesome time. Four wheelers for the first time was a blast. That was your first time ever riding four wheelers. But you guys from the city, though. But y' all say the dudes be wearing folders in the streets now, as I'm sure L does that on a random Tuesday morning. But I loved it. Gambled a little bit. Left my ticket in Vegas without crashing. Cashing Out. Oh, my God. I let you know, people with money. I wonder, how much did you win too? I think you mentioned it on your show. I don't know if you gave a dollar amount, how much you won, but how do you leave your ticket without cashing out? That's the point of going to Vegas and gambling. Says next trip was Saint Martin. Saint Martin, Caribbean is always. Is always a vibe. As soon as I land, it's like I just get an accent out of nowhere. This trip was no different. Yeah, he talked about that on his show, like he had a little Caribbean accent or whatever. See, I do the opposite. I put extras on my accent to let them people know that I ain't making a mockery of them. So, you know, I'm a little bit more country, you know, a little bit more South Carolina. In mind is I hope the people of the island don't take it no kind of way. Lol. That ever happened to y'. All. You either speak more of an accent to a person or slow and loud as if they can't understand. I know people that do that. They talk slow and loud like they're not speaking English, like they don't understand English. I do get that. He said, turn 40 on the St. Martin trip. A Martin trip. And as a new 40 year old, the same way I got the accent, out of nowhere, I started saying certain things out of nowhere. I said, all right, now what? You know, good. Watch out there now while I point the index finger. He said, those are only a few that have stuck with me. Yeah. When you get older, people say, what up? You say stuff like, I can't call it. You know, they say. They say, what's up? Say you got it. You know your world. You know, you gotta say stuff like that. That what my dad and them used to say. Say I had the opportunity and pleasure of DJing to look at that right there festival. Speaking of looking at right there festival, I thought this was like 47. He like 23. Look at that right there. You know, the. The baptizing Chicken said featured Mr. Oxtail less barbecue, Mr. Tenonism and. And Bernard Hardison with Bees Catering. He said they had to have maybe 20 or 30 other food trucks out there, vendors and people circulating that dollar love to Bernard and the crew. They could have hoarded all that money for themselves. Instead, they invited other vendors out and everybody had a line. Good to see. He put door, but I think it'd been good to see prices. They were up there, but I respect it. I heard Less Barbecue had oxtails four for $100. Just no grease. Y' all out there buying it too. No grease. Right up here. No grease. I know. Bernard's plate was a 40 piece, about six wings, four sides, roll and a peach cobbler. I got it for the experience. And I can't lie, that chicken was good. Was good. AF thoughts on the prices. The size were definitely meh. Mac and cheese was good. He used a zd. He used ziti, noodles, rice, green beans, and a pasta salad. Portions for the size were deceptive. Very shallow. Very shallow. Shallow to go side bowls. Lol. He said, all right, y' all have a good show. Yeah, I heard about them when they did something in the less barbecue dude and Bernard did something. And I want to say they were in Texas and people were upset about the wings, the long line. They said the wings were too hard. And then they said, like, the prices were high or whatever. But I mean, at this point, you know the price gonna be high with all those people. You can't expect to get like super hot, fresh food when it's something like that. But I'm glad this time around they had a whole bunch of other vendors, so. So other people could eat like you said, and then like, the waits wouldn't be so long. But the price is the price. You either gonna pay the price or you ain't gonna pay the price. I mean, ain't too much to it other than that. I did wanna go, but I decided to go to work that day when he had that. Cause he hit me up. Highstar hit me up was like, yo, I'm DJing. Look at that right there. Festival. But. But yeah, I didn't go. I decided to go make a little money, which. What I always do, which I'm doing tonight after I leave here. But yeah. Shout out to DJ High Star. Email us if you got something to say. Want to talk to us about what you did this week, this weekend or whatever? Dj blazegmail.com. guess real quick we get into some of these articles and things we've been talking about. One of the things that's been going around this over the weekend, they had Invest Fest. Invest Fest in Atlanta, Georgia, headed up by the guys from the Earn your leisure podcast, Rashad and what's the names? What's Rashad and what's the other guy's name? I forgot his name. But anyway, I listen to them. Been listening to them for years. Been wanting to go to Invest Fest, but they were on the Breakfast Club last week and they made some comments. Well, I guess I can play it for you. Hold on. Here we go. Talking about the way that Atlanta does not help out with the Invest Fest. Let's take a listen to the clip and then we'll give you guys an update. [00:13:23] Speaker D: Do you just keep it in Atlanta? Kind of like how ESSENCE just keeps it in New Orleans? [00:13:27] Speaker A: Like, is it just one thing that [00:13:29] Speaker D: it always stays there? [00:13:30] Speaker A: Or do you say, you know what, we take it to another city? Its home has been Atlanta for obviously for six years. We flirted with the idea just because, you know, the lack of support that we've gotten from the city of Atlanta has been, you know, something that has been puzzling. But we come from grassroots, so we know how to build things from the ground up. What is Atlanta not doing to make sure they're comfortable? [00:13:50] Speaker E: Atlanta's done nothing for us. And, you know, it's an unfortunate situation, but it's one of these things. I think a lot of times when you're a black entrepreneur, a lot of things are just expected, like, oh, you got it. Like, you good. Or, you know, and it's like if somebody else would come like a Forbes or somebody like that, then they would roll out the red carpet and do everything. But this is good education because it's like when you work with a city, there's a, there's a budget and there's different things that they can subsidies municipalities, they can help put up billboards, they can, they can help be a liaison with the, with the center, they can help with the police force, they can help with the budget, they can help with transportation, they can help with rooms at hotels, they can help with so many different things. [00:14:30] Speaker A: Just a quick update as we wrap. I. Yeah, so that was the initial thing that they said on the Breakfast Club that, you know, they weren't getting help or whatever. And the mayor of Atlanta, he took a little issue with what they said and he came out with some stuff on some podcasts and said all this and that. And, you know, it started like a little war between New York and Atlanta. Like, you know, these dudes are scammers, they platform scammers. And, you know, so it started with some back and forth. Then finally at Invest Fest this, this week, the mayor, he showed up and he spoke. So that was a good look for them. I saw a lot of people talking about, you know, some of the people that have been on there that kind of got arrested for doing some scamming type stuff or whatever that's been on that show. And I mean, some people can dress it up and make it look legit, you know what I'm saying? So sometimes it's hard as, you know, a podcast at a vet. Everybody that you talking to, especially when they're making it look good and, you know, saying they putting this good information out there, whatever, but shout out to them and the mayor for getting it right. Hopefully they made some kind of deal to where they can keep it going to in Atlanta. I know a lot of people that go out to Atlanta to check that out and they say they have a good time. I talked to somebody just last night and him and his wife went and said they met all of these people and did a lot of networking and made connections and stuff. So I. I don't know. I. I'd rather just sit there, listen to the podcast for free, and get what I can out of that. Maybe I'll go. I did say I was gonna go next year, though. But, you know, if you go to Invest Fest, whatever, let me know. Dj blazegmail.com and if you think they really are some scamming ass niggas, let me know if you think that too. In other news, let's see here. Here's one that's kind of come up. Shout out my homie Dougie from Music Jones podcast. This is right up his. Right up his alley right here. So it's been 30 years since Tupac's been killed. Haven't had an arrest or anything. They finally got somebody that's connected. Keefe D and nearly. [00:16:51] Speaker C: Tupac Shakur was shot and they're having [00:16:54] Speaker A: jury selection for him. He's the only one. And he's not arrested for the murder, but he's arrested for selling a gun or providing a gun that killed Tupac. [00:17:06] Speaker C: Only five miles away from where I'm standing right now. And nearly 30 years later, the question of who should be held responsible for his murder is taking center stage. 75 potential jurors walked into the courthouse this morning. But before questions about Tupac Shakur, Duane Keefe D. Davis, or one of the most infamous unsolved murders in music history, the first few questions were actually pretty simple. Who can put their life on hold for the next month? That is how long this trial is expected to go. By the afternoon, only about half of the potential jurors were left. And then came the questions that get to the heart of choosing a jury in a case this big. One by one, they were asked about what they already knew and whether they could walk into this case without an opinion of Davis, guilt or innocence. The judge also read from a witness list filled with names familiar in Las Vegas and beyond. On that list, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, and Sean Diddy Combs. But one of the most important names may be Suge Knight. Knight, a former record executive, was driving the car Tupac was in the night of the shooting. And now from prison, where he's serving time in an unrelated case. He told ABC News exclusively he believes Davis biggest problem at trial may be his own words. [00:18:29] Speaker B: Everything he said and talked about, he already told on himself. [00:18:33] Speaker C: And to understand why those words matter, you have to go back to the night Tupac was shot. September, September 7, 1996. Tupac and his entourage were at the MGM grand, where prosecutors say they got into a fight with Davis nephew. Hours later, Tupac left and was riding in a BMW with Suge Knight. They were stopped at the intersection of Flamingo and Koval when a white Cadillac pulled up next to them and someone inside started shooting. Tupac was hit multiple times, died six days later. For decades, no one was charged. But then Davis started talking in interviews. And later in a book, Davis described his role in what happened that very night. Those statements are now expected to be a key part of the case against him. And while prosecutors don't have to prove Keefe d fired the shots, they do have to prove he helped put the gun and the plan here in motion. Now, jury selected election is expected to continue sometime tomorrow morning. And of course, we're gonna follow this trial every step of the way. Reporting from the Regional Justice Center, I'm Elizabeth in court. [00:19:40] Speaker A: Shout out to Elizabeth in court for doing the heavy lifting on that one. But, yeah, so kvd, he's been, you know, I'm saying, coming up lately, especially after, like, Diddy got arrested, and he was saying, like, Diddy paid him. He really said that it was either a million and a half a million that Diddy owes him for killing Tupac. He's saying that he paid them to go out there and kill Tupac. But the guy that they jumped, he was from, like, la, dude named Orlando. He wound up getting killed later. But I won't say they recognize him as being a Crip. And that's when Sug and them jumped, and Tupac jumped in, too. So I don't know if his story is, like, all made up just to, you know, sell books and to make himself famous or if Diddy really paid him. So. And like you heard in that report, Diddy is, you know, probably gonna have to come to court Suge Knight also. So we, you know, keep y' all updated and see how that goes with that. But, yeah, man, I really didn't have too much. I wanted to give y' all something, but. But before I go, I gotta give y', all, you know, my favorite segment, and that's our scammer of the week segment. If I can find my drop. There we go. I did Friday. Hey, I did Friday. [00:21:05] Speaker F: Okay. [00:21:05] Speaker A: I did fraud today. Hey, I did fraud today. [00:21:08] Speaker F: Okay. [00:21:09] Speaker A: I did fraud today. [00:21:10] Speaker B: Hey, I did a good job today. [00:21:12] Speaker F: Okay. [00:21:12] Speaker A: I did fraud today. I did fraud today. [00:21:16] Speaker F: Okay. [00:21:35] Speaker A: Yes. And now schema of the week takes us to get to the NFL [00:21:43] Speaker B: and [00:21:43] Speaker A: I pull up this report for y'. All. This one guy, this is a lesson, and you should know who you're scamming because it's alleged that he scammed some NFL players. His name is. His name is. What's his name? His name? Yeah, this guy, he's accused of scamming NFL people and he was found dead in a pool in New Jersey. He was 24 years old. I don't say his name, don't have his name, but I do have an article for it. So I'm gonna play that and let them tell you what his name is. Here we go. [00:22:35] Speaker D: Authorities are investigating the death of Muhammad Koulibaly, the alleged scammer accused of targeting multiple former NFL players with a fake e commerce scheme. According to police, the 24 year old's body was found Friday in the swimming pool of a Harrison Township, New Jersey home by officers making a welfare check after family members called in concerns about his well being. The discovery, coming just weeks after a baron's investigation, named Kouliballi as the organizer of a purported scam that sought to swindle handle professional athletes by selling them stakes in bogus web stores. [00:23:08] Speaker F: The athletes and other investors would buy into these e commerce shops that seemed to be doing really good business based on the sales logs that they were able to review. But we were able to determine that those transactions were manually input by somebody with access to the back end of these stores. And the purpose of this was to make these athletes think that they had these successful investments in these shops. [00:23:37] Speaker D: Three former NFL players telling the outlet they collectively lost more than $1 million in investments made with Kouliballi. [00:23:44] Speaker F: Weeks and then months went by and Muhammad always had a different excuse for why. Why he wasn't paying them. And finally they just realized they were potentially being scammed. [00:23:54] Speaker D: Former New York Giants linebacker Tay Crowder says he became a victim after connecting with Kouliballi through a friend. [00:24:01] Speaker B: I was just Every day talking about different investments and different things we could possibly get into. I saw him hanging out with a bunch of different guys that I knew, which, you know, made me feel comfortable. [00:24:13] Speaker D: Crowder invested all of his savings, totaling $500,000, in one of Kouliballi's web stores. [00:24:19] Speaker B: I would log into the store all the time and just see, like, you know, how it would work and what was going on. I feel like the more I told him about that, like, as many times I kept logging in, the numbers started [00:24:30] Speaker D: going up, but his promised payout never came. [00:24:32] Speaker B: I don't want anybody else to get involved in anything like this, and whoever has got involved, I just want to come together and make it right. [00:24:42] Speaker D: And earlier this year, Koulibaly had denied to Barron's that he was behind any kind of scam, saying that their reporting was, quote, based on a misunderstanding of the technology and that his investors hadn't received returns from their deal. [00:24:53] Speaker A: Listen, man, if you steal $500,000 from me, you might end up floating in a swimming pool forever. You gotta learn who to scam and who not to scam. Scam a big company or whatever, but stop scamming people, man. You taking food out of these people's mouths and stuff, and they are going to retaliate most of the time. Well, some of the time he just learned the hard way. But yeah, man, that's our show for this week. Thank you all for listening. It was a short show. I had to put it together something, you know what I'm saying? For just solo, especially solo on the camera, it's a little different setting up the camera and doing all this solo. Hopefully we have another one Monday. It might switch up a little bit because might have to do some scheduling changes. So it might be every Wednesday or Tuesday we put something out. But at any rate, man, thank y' all for listening. Email us djblazhowgmail.com Let us know what you think. But I'll see y' all either Monday or Wednesday. It's your boy. Be easy, and I'm out. [00:26:00] Speaker B: Let those who have ears listen. This is the DJ Blaze show. [00:26:13] Speaker A: Sam.
