[00:05:54] Speaker C: We do. We do. That might have to be a list.
[00:05:57] Speaker A: That's a list.
[00:05:58] Speaker C: That might be the list we need to do today.
[00:06:00] Speaker B: Yeah, that might be it, I think so.
[00:06:02] Speaker C: The list that we got is we muddled the line. We muddled the line between winning and losing. I was like, this ain't gonna be funny.
[00:06:09] Speaker A: I got some funny things on my list.
[00:06:10] Speaker C: You do?
[00:06:11] Speaker A: I ain't gonna lie.
[00:06:12] Speaker C: Okay, we might have to do the list.
[00:06:14] Speaker A: We could make our negative.
[00:06:14] Speaker B: We might do two next week.
[00:06:16] Speaker C: We might have to do two today. We might have to do two run through and then come back to the names. Cause the names.
[00:06:21] Speaker B: If it don't hit, we stop. If it don't hit.
[00:06:24] Speaker C: If it don't hit, we gotta power through.
[00:06:26] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:06:27] Speaker C: We don't have to power through. He says the Joneses are. And shout out to Jones from the Music Jones podcast, another podcast on the Crux Media Group podcast. But anyway, says the Joneses are here and we like to enter the chat. Jackson, Brown, Williams. I'll have a good shot at goal at the gold regionally. Who will represent PD area in the Negro Olympics? For instance, in Orangeburg, Middleton's Maze and Tisdales, King Street. Yeah. Shout out to Doc. Friend of the show, family of the show. Doc is a militant. My aunt. Shout out to. [00:07:07] Speaker C: I know Tinsdale.
[00:07:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:09] Speaker C: In the pd, definitely. Williams. It's a lot of Williams.
[00:07:13] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:07:14] Speaker C: And you, if you fight a Jackson, Williams is going, Jackson, you gonna get your ass whooped.
What buggered him last night? James.
James is a lot of James's Jackson.
[00:07:28] Speaker B: Well, let's save it for the show.
[00:07:29] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:07:30] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[00:07:31] Speaker A: Let's save this.
[00:07:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. We talk about it. He says, we get.
[00:07:34] Speaker A: Look, we so excited about the Negro Olympics.
[00:07:36] Speaker C: He sent some more, too.
He sent like four emails for list recommendations. So I'm gonna get to his other emails too. He says, but how have y'all been? How have y'all felt after the election results and shit? I'm indifferent. And Mr. Days of Niggas not discussing politics as casually as we do nowadays. A lot of people didn't vote. And let's look at the real villain of it all, Joe Biden. What this whole ass nigga is what's wrong with politics in general. Old niggas trying to hold on they position for so long and not give up power. Shaking my head. I disagree with you. Because Joe Biden, after Obama's presidency, Joe Biden just wanted to go off in the win. They wanted him to run against Trump that first time. They didn't want Hillary to win, but Joe was like, fuck this shit, nigga. I quit. I'm gone, I'm gone.
[00:08:25] Speaker B: I'm sleepy.
[00:08:26] Speaker C: Trump is not gonna win. And then Hillary lost and then Joe. They was like, joe, we need you. Pete Buttigieg ain't gonna do it. Better O'Rourke ain't gonna do it. We need you, Joe. You the only white man who could beat this white man. And Joe reluctantly ran for president. He didn't want to do it.
[00:08:44] Speaker B: He was sleeping.
[00:08:45] Speaker C: He had shit to say. He was like, if you don't vote for me, you ain't black. Like, he just pulled that out of his ass, man.
He said, fuck that shit. Let's get this money. Regardless of who's in office. Can't vote if you were convicted felon, but you can be the president.
He said, I'm gonna keep it short so I can get these lists in. I hate when I be forgetting something and send in my emails, but shout out to Corey and L. David holding it down. Salute.
[00:09:10] Speaker A: Oh, thank you, thank you.
[00:09:12] Speaker C: Shout out to you, High star. Now, he sent a couple more because he, you know, catching up. Oh, well, this is a. This is one for his list. He wrote a list of his favorite white actors. Okay, so we ain't gonna read that one, but he did send some list suggestions.
[00:09:26] Speaker A: So we'll read it for the list.
[00:09:28] Speaker C: Read the list. Suggestion on the list.
[00:09:29] Speaker B: Yeah, let's save them. Just.
[00:09:31] Speaker A: Yeah, let's save it.
[00:09:32] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:09:33] Speaker B: Just case for you.
[00:09:34] Speaker C: Well, now he gonna get. You gotta get his credit.
[00:09:36] Speaker A: Okay, well, he listened to the list. That's why I'm saying.
[00:09:38] Speaker C: Okay. Okay.
[00:09:39] Speaker A: That's when we pick up. Pick up, shout out.
[00:09:42] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah, yeah, I see what he did, too. All right, I appreciate you if y'all want to email and tell these two how great they are. Me, though. You think I ain't saying nothing about me? I do. All right, now. Oh, yeah, email djblazhowmail.com. let the good folks here, let it know how to. How you feel about them. And if you don't like them, that's even better.
Your voice is aggravating. Nigga.
[00:10:06] Speaker B: Yeah, B, you good.
[00:10:07] Speaker C: You aight? You all right, nigga. But shout out to the new people.
[00:10:10] Speaker A: Holler back.
[00:10:12] Speaker C: Shout out to High Star for bearing the lead. But we got a new president elect.
A lot of weird stuff. Well, it already seemed like some weird stuff been happening, but, you know, it is what it is. Did y'all get those email. I mean, those text messages about your kids in school?
[00:10:34] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, no, no.
[00:10:35] Speaker C: The cotton picking, the slave picking? Yeah, the slave. You didn't get that?
[00:10:38] Speaker B: Yeah, some students in school got it.
[00:10:41] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's students in school.
[00:10:44] Speaker C: No, I know some grown people who got it.
[00:10:46] Speaker A: Oh, for real?
[00:10:46] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. So if y'all don't know we're talking about. Racist text messages involving slavery raised alarms across the country this week after they were sent to black men, women, and including middle schoolers. It prompted inquiries by the FBI and other agencies. The messages, sent anonymously, were reported in several states, including New York, Alabama, California, all over the nation. Because people in South Carolina got it. Yeah.
[00:11:10] Speaker B: I didn't know it hit the news.
[00:11:11] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. It said they generally use a similar tone but varied in wording. So here's an example. It says, hello, Elle. You have been selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation.
Be ready to pick today at 3pm today sharp. No belongings needed. Our executive slaves will come get you in a brown van. Be prepared and present for your pickup. You'll be searched, so don't bring any types of weapons. You'll be in Plantation B. Thanks for your service.
[00:11:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I got. I got.
[00:11:46] Speaker A: Probably so ignorant.
[00:11:47] Speaker B: I got three. Three screenshots from students that.
[00:11:50] Speaker C: Oh, students that got.
[00:11:51] Speaker B: Yeah. When it happened.
[00:11:52] Speaker C: Oh. Oh, yeah, I see. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:11:54] Speaker A: They sent it to you.
[00:11:55] Speaker B: I mean, I worked there, so they had to.
[00:11:57] Speaker C: What you do there?
[00:11:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:11:59] Speaker A: That's crazy.
[00:12:00] Speaker C: So the FBI is investigating. I. I did hear something. I forgot what I was listening to. They traced the call. Like the. No, it's something else that got traced back to Russia.
This was during election, though. But did y'all hear about the bomb threats in Atlanta? So they traced those calls to Russia.
[00:12:18] Speaker B: Oh, wow.
[00:12:19] Speaker C: All the way to Russia. But Russia, it was. They was. They said that back in 2016, that it was, like, a lot of Russian misinformation on social media and stuff like that. Like, years later, they traced it back to Russia. Like, misinformation and stuff like that.
And this time they were saying that all of the calls were to, like, black areas in Atlanta. In that area or whatever. And they traced those calls back to Russia, but.
[00:12:46] Speaker B: Oh, wow, that's great.
[00:12:46] Speaker C: Yeah. A lot of it's one guy voting shenanigans.
[00:12:50] Speaker B: One white guy from America. What, sitting in a bunker?
[00:12:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:12:55] Speaker C: Doing that.
[00:12:55] Speaker B: Sending out pranks.
[00:12:57] Speaker C: I'm sure you think it's a white knowledge.
[00:12:59] Speaker B: It's probably a hacker, you know, they probably did it.
[00:13:03] Speaker C: What? No, they.
[00:13:04] Speaker B: They really trace it. Trace it.
[00:13:05] Speaker C: Yeah, I believe they did.
[00:13:07] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay.
[00:13:15] Speaker C: I don't know. I mean. Got a new president. Y'all surprised?
[00:13:18] Speaker A: It ain't new. He not new. I mean, he just back.
[00:13:21] Speaker C: Yeah, he back.
[00:13:22] Speaker B: Not surprised at all. Not at all. I.
I thought about it, but I'm not surprised because so many people like him.
Even if he wasn't running for it, they still would have been flying them flags.
Still talking about when he was in.
[00:13:44] Speaker C: Oh, you mean if he didn't run this time, they would still be like, find his flag.
[00:13:47] Speaker B: No matter what controversy happened, all that, they still would have been trumping it out.
[00:13:54] Speaker C: Yeah. Did y'all see the clip of the guy with the hat on in New York and the lady face?
Yeah, it was a guy. He had, like, an American great again hat, and he was, like, screaming on this woman. Black lady, of course, Dag. In her face.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: That's crazy how that hat font and style can disrupt shit.
[00:14:15] Speaker C: It was a new style, you know, they got the new one with the big letters now.
[00:14:18] Speaker B: Oh, for real?
[00:14:18] Speaker C: Yeah, with the. Yeah, they got another one with the American flag on the side.
[00:14:22] Speaker A: What was he yelling at her like.
[00:14:25] Speaker C: I'll knock you out or like, you know, moved. I dare you to try me. Try me or some shit.
[00:14:32] Speaker B: It was.
[00:14:32] Speaker C: It was crazy. Yeah.
[00:14:34] Speaker B: It's so brave and strong.
[00:14:36] Speaker C: Yeah. But I hope it don't be a lot of that, especially for, like, women. Black women or whatever, because, like, that was happening, and it wasn't like, nobody, like, coming in and.
[00:14:47] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:48] Speaker C: Helping.
[00:14:48] Speaker A: Yeah, nobody was helping.
[00:14:49] Speaker C: Yeah, nobody was helping her out. You know what I'm saying?
[00:14:51] Speaker B: They was recording it.
[00:14:52] Speaker C: Yeah. People recording. So I hope a lot of that shit don't happen, but I ain't. I ain't surprised. You said you were. You were.
You weren't surprised.
[00:15:01] Speaker B: No, not at all. Not at all.
[00:15:03] Speaker C: What about you?
[00:15:04] Speaker A: I wasn't surprised at all.
[00:15:05] Speaker C: I wasn't either.
[00:15:07] Speaker B: We done seen all the craziest things of him saying this and saying that.
[00:15:11] Speaker A: He's not a politician.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. We've seen so much happen. It's WWE right now.
[00:15:16] Speaker C: Yeah. When they had that rally and they were saying that. When the guy said this stuff about, like, Puerto Ricans and all of that, and that didn't do nothing.
But it started slow, though. Like, even, like the first time he ran, he, like, said the stuff about.
Said the stuff about the person in the wheelchair, and he did the little.
He did that. Yeah, yeah. He had said something. He says a lot of, like, wild stuff that a person that's, like, in that position, you wouldn't think they would act like that.
[00:15:50] Speaker B: Yeah. It's a new day and age. Yeah, it's a new day, man. It's like you're able to say what you want to say. Now and not. Not held accountable for it. That's why they made social media. Well, so you can say what you want to say and step back like you didn't say it.
[00:16:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I just expect, like, people of a certain stature to, like, act a certain way. Yeah.
[00:16:14] Speaker B: Obama Lee.
[00:16:15] Speaker C: Yeah, Obama.
[00:16:16] Speaker B: More Obama Lee.
[00:16:17] Speaker C: Obama Lee. That's a word don't write.
[00:16:23] Speaker B: Yeah, more Obamaly.
[00:16:25] Speaker C: Yeah. You know, like, I remember, like, people like teachers and coaches and stuff like that. Like, you just growing up, you feel like they act a certain way.
[00:16:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:36] Speaker C: And they wouldn't do this and that. But then you get older and you be like, I. Like, I know teachers. I know, like, teachers that smoke weed on the way to school.
[00:16:44] Speaker B: Amen.
[00:16:44] Speaker C: Shit like that.
[00:16:45] Speaker B: Like, you know what I thought of that? I thought of you probably last week. And, you know, I work at a school and I watch. What's your show that you like with the teachers?
[00:16:56] Speaker C: Abbott elementary.
[00:16:57] Speaker B: Abbott elementary. It's just like that. Like in the school environment.
[00:17:02] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: Like, each person had their own personality.
[00:17:05] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: This one is a little. How can I say it?
[00:17:08] Speaker C: Eccentric.
[00:17:09] Speaker B: Yeah. This one is, you know, throwing herself at people. And I'm not saying these are real people that. At the school, but these are real people at the school.
[00:17:18] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:17:19] Speaker B: And that environment is just. I just sit back and laugh. Like, I wonder if teachers when I was growing up was like that.
[00:17:27] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, they had to. They had to.
[00:17:28] Speaker B: Nah, man. All the teachers when I was growing up, they were 70, 80 years old.
[00:17:33] Speaker C: But they weren't, though. Cause I bet you they still alive.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: I had young teachers. You did in middle school? No, but high school, even high school, I had young teachers. Like, young as in, like, I think my eldest. The eldest. He was probably like 33. And then him and him and the English teacher started dating. And then they still married today.
[00:17:53] Speaker C: Good for them.
[00:17:54] Speaker B: Crazy.
[00:17:54] Speaker C: Like, if your teacher. If you got teachers that were living when you were in high school, they probably were like your age now or younger than you when you were in high school.
[00:18:03] Speaker A: Yeah. When I was in middle school, my. My social studies teacher, she was 22.
[00:18:07] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:18:07] Speaker C: It's crazy.
[00:18:08] Speaker B: Yeah. That is crazy, man.
[00:18:09] Speaker C: But when you. When you 13 or 12 years old and the teacher is 22, they look like they 50.
[00:18:15] Speaker B: They the older.
[00:18:16] Speaker C: Yeah, they old as hell.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: They look older than your mom.
[00:18:18] Speaker C: Yeah. Your mind like, you 25. Oh, you my mama age or some like that. Like.
[00:18:23] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's crazy, though.
[00:18:26] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:18:26] Speaker A: That's why them kids look at us like we old. Like, what year were you born? 19. 19.
[00:18:30] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:18:32] Speaker A: You were born in the 20th century. Like, come on, man.
[00:18:36] Speaker C: You was born in the 19th. Charlamagne. Say it all the time.
[00:18:39] Speaker A: They say the early. When they say that you was born in the late 1900s.
[00:18:42] Speaker C: You was late 1900s.
You know, it's crazy. I was on Jones, the music Jones podcast, and he was talking about his daughter's great grandma.
She died, but I want to. She was 90 something, so she probably was born, like, in the 20s. In the 20s, okay.
[00:19:05] Speaker B: This crazy.
[00:19:06] Speaker C: We in the 20s. So when history come, it can be like, in the twenties. Cardi B.
[00:19:13] Speaker A: For real.
[00:19:14] Speaker C: Spoke for the President, like.
[00:19:16] Speaker B: Yeah, that's crazy.
[00:19:17] Speaker C: We're in the 20s. Yeah.
What do you mean? The names of the people. They're gonna be famous.
[00:19:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:24] Speaker C: I mean.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: And they gonna be talking about it. Cause back then, people used their names.
[00:19:28] Speaker C: Nah. Who was Cab. Cab Calloway.
[00:19:31] Speaker A: I'm just saying it's more. It's a little more smoother than what is out today.
[00:19:37] Speaker B: Louis Armstrong, Louie.
[00:19:39] Speaker A: I'm just saying their names are more, namely, than the ones out today, like Boss Mandela. Like Sexy Red. I mean, no shade at all. That's her. That's her stage name.
[00:19:50] Speaker B: I thought of that, too.
[00:19:51] Speaker A: But, you know, like, when they're reporting history, they're gonna be using all those names.
[00:19:56] Speaker C: You think history. Sexy Red gonna make history?
[00:19:58] Speaker A: I'm not talking about that. But she's gonna be an artist that people listen to.
[00:20:03] Speaker B: Not anymore. They're not gonna go back and listen to that.
[00:20:07] Speaker C: Maybe. So you never know.
[00:20:08] Speaker A: Yeah, I've been listening to older music from then. So it's like, you never know. You never know who the young kid today, right now is gonna be when they're older. Just listening to throwbacks.
[00:20:22] Speaker C: So, like, I was on, you know, like, without even, like, for the past few years, people saying the world is getting dumber or like. You know what I'm saying? They were saying, like. So it's a movie that came out early 2000s, called Idiocracy.
[00:20:40] Speaker A: I didn't see that.
[00:20:41] Speaker C: Yeah, I never watched. I watched it the other day.
Matter of fact, I watched it Friday night. I watched it Friday night.
[00:20:48] Speaker B: So you watched the old movie?
[00:20:50] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. That ain't really. That's 2000s, though. It's not 80s. Y'all niggas won't be wanting me to watch shit that on tape. But.
But I watched it and it's.
[00:21:03] Speaker A: And wind it up.
[00:21:04] Speaker C: Yeah, I gotta wind it up. Yeah. But it's about, like. Well, it's. It's kind of silly premise or whatever, but basically, like, after, you know, three, 400 years, everybody's so dumb until, like, they barely talk, like, so we going back to caveman.
[00:21:20] Speaker B: That's close. I see these students in these schools.
[00:21:24] Speaker A: Yeah, we going back to caveman times, probably. So, yeah, New Yorkers is big on caveman talk. So bad, let me tell you. Whoop, whoop, whoop. And he came down, and I am lying.
[00:21:36] Speaker C: It's your fault.
[00:21:37] Speaker A: Am I lying?
[00:21:38] Speaker C: I wouldn't blame it on the south.
[00:21:39] Speaker B: That came from Atlanta. Atlanta started that, man. No. Yes, they did.
[00:21:44] Speaker A: That's New York. That's straight. That's New York.
[00:21:47] Speaker B: Listen to some Atlanta talk.
[00:21:49] Speaker C: How long y'all been talking like that? How long y'all been doing that?
[00:21:51] Speaker A: Years.
[00:21:52] Speaker C: Exactly.
[00:21:52] Speaker A: Forever.
[00:21:53] Speaker C: This new.
[00:21:54] Speaker A: So, boom, Let me tell you. So he came up to me, said, ah, ah. And I was like, what? Like, nah, you bugging me. Huh?
But what did he say?
[00:22:05] Speaker C: Who say? Whoop dee whoop whoop is more south west coast.
[00:22:09] Speaker A: Is it?
[00:22:10] Speaker C: Yeah, I think. I think they got it from the west.
[00:22:13] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:22:15] Speaker B: But that's crazy how y'all just sitting there, not arguing, but discussing back and forth about whoop, whoop, whoop. Yeah, Whoop dee whoop whoop.
[00:22:27] Speaker C: Me and my little whoop de whoop. You know what I'm saying? So I went in the store, and then whoop de whoop. And then. Okay, that's how they do.
[00:22:34] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:22:35] Speaker A: So boom.
That's how you know it's about to be crazy.
[00:22:39] Speaker B: Hey, I just got to say, Cory, you stupid.
You stupid for that.
[00:22:45] Speaker C: Yeah. I forgot to ask y'all. Did y'all watch anything?
[00:22:48] Speaker A: I watched two movies, actually.
[00:22:51] Speaker C: Okay, what two movies?
[00:22:53] Speaker A: One was old movie.
Michael J. Fox movie. The secret of my success.
[00:23:00] Speaker B: Out of all the Michael J.
[00:23:01] Speaker A: Fox movie, you watch that, we're gonna slow down.
[00:23:04] Speaker C: Okay, what's that movie?
[00:23:05] Speaker A: Because I have all of his movies, so we're not going.
[00:23:08] Speaker C: So you got Doc Holliday.
[00:23:10] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:23:10] Speaker C: On tape. No dvd.
[00:23:13] Speaker A: Apple.
[00:23:14] Speaker C: You pay for.
[00:23:16] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:23:17] Speaker C: Why?
[00:23:17] Speaker A: I'm a collector.
But these are over the years, like before.
[00:23:23] Speaker B: Wow. That had to be.
[00:23:24] Speaker C: That's something else, too. It's a. It's a post. It kind of going viral where Guy was, like, back in the day, used to pay money to own stuff, but now you just pay money for access for stuff. Basically, yeah.
[00:23:34] Speaker A: Which is ridiculous.
[00:23:35] Speaker C: So, like, you own that movie, but you don't own that movie.
[00:23:37] Speaker B: Don't own it?
[00:23:38] Speaker C: Yeah. Unless you downloaded it to one of your.
[00:23:40] Speaker A: To your devices.
[00:23:41] Speaker C: You got it.
[00:23:41] Speaker A: To your device.
[00:23:42] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:23:44] Speaker A: And I watched the Beekeeper.
[00:23:46] Speaker C: That was. That was.
[00:23:48] Speaker A: I did. I did.
[00:23:49] Speaker C: It's. I mean, it's an impossible white man movie, but it's, you know, it's entertaining.
[00:23:53] Speaker B: Yeah, it was Certain spots was over the top.
[00:23:56] Speaker C: It's an impossible white man movie. Did he even get shot?
[00:23:59] Speaker A: No, but he got stabbed and he got stabbed. He got stabbed up a little bit.
[00:24:03] Speaker C: You know who did that? The black lady?
[00:24:05] Speaker B: Yep. What's her name?
[00:24:07] Speaker C: Claire.
[00:24:08] Speaker A: She killed herself.
[00:24:10] Speaker B: True.
[00:24:10] Speaker C: Indeed. But still.
[00:24:11] Speaker A: So we're not going to do that.
[00:24:13] Speaker C: Something that black women don't do.
[00:24:18] Speaker A: Yeah, they do. They do.
[00:24:19] Speaker C: Too far now.
[00:24:20] Speaker B: You know what?
[00:24:21] Speaker A: No, they do.
[00:24:22] Speaker B: They'll tell you before.
[00:24:25] Speaker A: No, they do.
[00:24:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:27] Speaker A: A lot of them post it.
[00:24:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:29] Speaker A: Like, I'm sorry. I couldn't. I wasn't strong enough.
[00:24:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:24:31] Speaker A: And it's a lot of young black women, too.
[00:24:33] Speaker C: That's a cry for help. Unattention.
[00:24:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
What else? What you been watching Be.
[00:24:40] Speaker A: But wait, let me finish on my Beekeeper.
[00:24:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:43] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:24:43] Speaker A: I heard they might be possibly doing a part two.
[00:24:47] Speaker C: So what's he gonna call it? Honey?
[00:24:49] Speaker A: No, it's the Beekeeper, too. He. The movie was good when it comes to action and stuff. Like, it definitely has the momentum of, like, John Wick and Equalizer, because you could just keep putting them in different situations. Yeah.
So get ready for that.
[00:25:05] Speaker C: That's my.
[00:25:06] Speaker A: That collection.
[00:25:06] Speaker C: I did like that movie because he killed scammers. Yes.
[00:25:10] Speaker A: And then I was so happy. I was happy that he was unapologetic about just killing people.
[00:25:15] Speaker C: I wonder, now that we got a new administration in, the world is changing, you know, like back in the day, like in movies, like in the 80s, it was the Russians. Like, everybody was killing the Russians.
[00:25:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:25:26] Speaker C: And then, like, it got to a point where everybody was killing, like, brown people over there. Like Iraq and all of that. They was the enemies in the movies. And at one point it was like the Asians.
Now a lot of the movies, people are like Nazis. Cause ain't nobody left. Not a fiend. I wonder, will it get back to, like. Cause this movie really should have been based in India.
[00:25:49] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right.
[00:25:50] Speaker C: Maybe Nigeria.
[00:25:50] Speaker B: You're right. Ooh, that's a close second.
[00:25:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:25:53] Speaker A: They are scammers.
[00:25:55] Speaker C: I wonder, will it get back to a time to when they just killing random racist ethnicities based on, you know, because it was just some dude bro whites that they was killing. Right.
[00:26:09] Speaker A: I mean, it was. He. He was. He killed the. The, like the person who owned the.
[00:26:14] Speaker C: Whole thing, which Was white, right?
[00:26:16] Speaker B: Yeah, white guy.
[00:26:17] Speaker A: But he had a whole lot of different ethnicities working for him.
[00:26:20] Speaker C: Working for him. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:26:21] Speaker A: It was like everybody was included there.
[00:26:23] Speaker B: It was set up like a Silicon Valley.
[00:26:27] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[00:26:28] Speaker A: I want. I one time got a call from a scammer. It's like, yeah, you have to pay for your mortgage. And I was like, really? I thought I paid. And they were like, no, but we can take your credit card. I said, where do I live? Because I didn't even know I had a house in a mortgage. Quick, fast number, huh?
[00:26:48] Speaker C: They had your number. Yeah, the first.
[00:26:50] Speaker A: And then I always get them with the. Hello, you've reached the voicemail box of so and so. Please leave a message.
[00:26:57] Speaker C: At the tone, they call you. And that's what you get when you answer the phone.
[00:27:00] Speaker B: That's what he. That's what he do.
[00:27:02] Speaker A: Oh, that's what you do.
[00:27:03] Speaker C: Oh. And what they do?
[00:27:05] Speaker A: Hang up or they start trying to leave a message.
Catch them all the time.
[00:27:10] Speaker C: The first ones that really was doing it heavy. The India was.
They were calling, saying something about Social Security or whatever, Right? Like, your Social Security, you need to do this. Whatever, whatever.
So finally I was fucking with the dude on the phone, and then he, like, figured out that I was fucking with him. And then he stopped. He was like, yo, mother fucker, and hung up the phone.
So after that, I just like, man, I'm just start fucking with these dudes, man.
[00:27:36] Speaker A: Like, yeah, yeah, you bothering me.
[00:27:39] Speaker C: Yeah, Sometimes I get mad about.
[00:27:41] Speaker A: Mess up your day.
[00:27:42] Speaker C: Yeah, they got caught. They scammed somebody. And then the people. The person they scammed, son, was. Was like one of these, a genius.
[00:27:52] Speaker A: He started hacking into their webcam.
[00:27:53] Speaker C: He cacked their webcams. Then he like, they. Then they started pranking them.
[00:27:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:58] Speaker C: So then they like sent like them big roaches. They sent like a whole bunch of them big roaches there. They were sending like.
[00:28:05] Speaker A: He put a stink bomb. Yeah.
[00:28:07] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:28:08] Speaker A: I was so happy and proud of him.
[00:28:10] Speaker B: They got YouTube channels that showed. That's all they show.
[00:28:14] Speaker C: Then they finally, they shut like three of them buildings down. Like, they figured out where they were and they shut down three of them. But it was like, that's really all they do. Like, they got whole call centers and all they do is scam people. Yeah, like, hello, my name is Susan. Like, bitch, your name ain't Susan. Fuck you up.
[00:28:31] Speaker B: Don't say a name either. Don't say it.
[00:28:33] Speaker C: What, like Darbish or something?
Aziz, Your name ain't Steve. Shut the fuck up.
[00:28:39] Speaker A: Yeah, they love to one he's talking about. My name is Mike. I said, come on, man.
[00:28:44] Speaker C: Your name ain't no Mike.
[00:28:45] Speaker A: Your name is not Mike. So you telling me your name is Michael?
[00:28:48] Speaker C: Yeah, right. Hey, but what time it is over there? And they'd be like, I'm sorry. So I don't understand. Yeah. Anyway, but. Yeah, that is a good movie. That's all. You watch them two movies.
You watched Abbott Elementary.
You ain't caught up yet. See, the worst. You said it. You watched Abbott.
[00:29:09] Speaker B: I started it, but I. I didn't. I didn't stick. I didn't stick to it. I need to really catch up.
[00:29:14] Speaker C: Oh, you gotta catch up.
[00:29:15] Speaker A: Yeah, you gotta catch up. Catch up.
[00:29:17] Speaker C: Yeah, I watched that. I watched that. Win it. Come on. On Wednesdays. I need to stream it, too, so they can get extra numbers.
[00:29:23] Speaker A: Big facts.
[00:29:24] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:29:26] Speaker A: Come on.
[00:29:26] Speaker B: Are they over?
[00:29:27] Speaker A: Give it to Quinta. Quinta. B.
[00:29:30] Speaker C: No, they only third season.
[00:29:31] Speaker B: Oh, this is only third season.
[00:29:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:29:34] Speaker B: Oh, so I could catch up then?
[00:29:35] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, you can catch up.
[00:29:36] Speaker B: Okay. I'm thinking I'm like, seven seasons behind the show.
[00:29:39] Speaker C: Only came out, like, a couple years ago.
[00:29:41] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:29:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:29:42] Speaker C: Yeah, they only third season this season. Funny, though.
Yeah. I watched that Penguin.
[00:29:48] Speaker B: What do you think about Penguin right now? Because it's changed. Like, it's more crime stuff now. Now it's the meat and potatoes of Penguin.
[00:29:59] Speaker C: It's still getting there.
[00:30:01] Speaker B: It's good.
[00:30:01] Speaker C: This tonight is the finale, so I want to see how they do that.
But I want. I want. Hopefully next season they'll bring in, like, some elements of Batman.
[00:30:13] Speaker B: But it's good when you say elements. You know they're not bringing Batman, though, right?
[00:30:16] Speaker C: What do you mean?
[00:30:18] Speaker B: Batman ain't gonna be in it. This is a totally separate. Yeah, it's a totally separate franchise, almost.
[00:30:23] Speaker C: No, it's in the same universe, though.
[00:30:24] Speaker B: Yeah, same universe. But.
[00:30:25] Speaker C: But I mean, maybe they mention him, like, doing shit in the city or something.
[00:30:29] Speaker B: Good luck.
I don't know if they're able to.
[00:30:32] Speaker C: You read. You. You saw they read that.
[00:30:34] Speaker B: Yeah. You know, I watched those Easter eggs and, you know, the guys that. But it's dissecting.
[00:30:40] Speaker C: It's from the movie, though. Yeah, but it's the same guy from the Batman.
[00:30:45] Speaker B: Well, think about it. Where Batman at now? All the city blowing up and. And the whole world just came to an end when they. That first bomb and all that Batman. They say. You don't see no news clippings. You don't. You don't hear nothing about. Hey, we Better hurry up and hide in the basement because Batman come. You don't see none of that. They don't even say the word Batman.
Right.
[00:31:10] Speaker C: We'll see. Hopefully.
[00:31:12] Speaker B: Yeah. You.
[00:31:13] Speaker C: You read that somewhere?
[00:31:14] Speaker B: Yeah. Watch. You know, I watched all those where they tell all the little Easter eggs and why they held this up that high and all that shit. I watched those a lot.
[00:31:23] Speaker C: I gotta look into that, too.
[00:31:24] Speaker B: Then certain movies, that's what I do. I'll go and find out the Easter eggs about it. Just like the Joker, they'll tell you, like, why they did this or why they did that.
I like those because they really dissect them.
[00:31:36] Speaker C: Another show I'm watching is Lioness.
[00:31:39] Speaker B: I gotta get in it. The second season, I mean, second episode.
[00:31:42] Speaker C: No, second season.
[00:31:44] Speaker B: They put an episode by episode. All right.
[00:31:46] Speaker C: I mean, they put out two the first week. This, the fourth episode that came out today.
[00:31:51] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:31:51] Speaker C: That shit good. The acting on this is amazing.
[00:31:54] Speaker B: The first one was good.
[00:31:56] Speaker C: The first season, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But this season right here.
[00:31:59] Speaker B: Is that white lady's in it? Is that white lady in it again?
[00:32:02] Speaker C: What white lady?
[00:32:03] Speaker B: The one she kind of, like, whisked away and trained her and all that.
[00:32:09] Speaker C: I don't think so. I don't know which one you're talking about. I forgot. The people.
[00:32:13] Speaker B: Y'all remember the first season?
[00:32:14] Speaker C: No, I forgot. I just know it was a lot of killing army, you know, I know you know, some of the. Like Nicole Kidman, this one, that one.
[00:32:22] Speaker B: But the target. The target had a friend.
[00:32:27] Speaker C: I don't remember.
[00:32:27] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:32:28] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't remember.
[00:32:29] Speaker B: Okay, Sorry. What? A target's daughter. I'm sorry? The target's daughter.
[00:32:34] Speaker C: Oh, the friend. Yeah, the friend is. The friend is in it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That girl is in.
[00:32:38] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:32:38] Speaker C: Yeah. But, yeah, that's what. I ain't really watched too much extra shit.
So, yeah, we had the election, and it was. Let me see.
Some election fallout stuff. So during the election, Elon Musk, he promised people a million dollars if they supported Trump, basically.
[00:33:04] Speaker A: Is this true?
[00:33:06] Speaker C: Yeah, he.
So in Phoenix, a man won a million dollars after signing a petition.
Well, after a judge ruled that thing could continue.
But the thing about it is, whoever they said won, they had to do, like, background checks on them to make sure they really supported Trump. Like, it wasn't nobody else that could win it.
[00:33:26] Speaker B: Oh, wow.
[00:33:26] Speaker C: So, yeah, they did that to try to get more people out to vote.
Yes. On October 19, he announced that he's pledging to give away $1 million a day to voters who Signed his political action committee's petition for Petition in favor of free speech and the right to bear arms.
And it was only available to registered voters in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina. All these were battleground states.
And the last one will be given to someone in Michigan on Tuesday. So if you listening on Monday, on tomorrow. So they were trying to like people were trying to stop it saying this was illegal for him to pay people to go and vote and stuff like that. But a judge ruled against it. So.
[00:34:14] Speaker A: Yeah, it's never been said you can't bribe nobody. It's never been said that you cannot bribe a person to go vote.
[00:34:22] Speaker B: So they do it all the time. They go out and have turkey drives.
[00:34:29] Speaker A: And they got the nerve because when the COVID shots came out, Shake Shack talking about we giving out free burgers for those who could prove they went and got their COVID vaccine.
[00:34:37] Speaker B: They still doing it now.
They just had a drive recently to give you $30 when you give blood.
[00:34:44] Speaker A: Oh no. They always done that.
Yeah, that's regular.
[00:34:48] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:34:50] Speaker A: Not even 30 in New York they give you like $60.
[00:34:52] Speaker B: Word.
[00:34:53] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:34:54] Speaker C: You should see how much you get for sperm.
I don't.
[00:34:57] Speaker B: Cup loads.
[00:34:58] Speaker A: Yeah, I heard they paid for sperm.
[00:35:01] Speaker C: They pay for sperm. Not the couple.
[00:35:07] Speaker B: Hold on, I'm coming.
[00:35:09] Speaker C: Literally.
[00:35:13] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:35:15] Speaker C: What else happened this weekend?
So this happened. So you know the hurricane came.
Was it Milton? Hurricane Milton. So it was a federal. A FEMA worker got fired because she directed workers helping hurricane survivors to not go to homes that supported Trump.
[00:35:35] Speaker A: Yeah, she's wild.
[00:35:37] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:35:37] Speaker B: All right. About time we doing some real leg work down here in these streets.
[00:35:44] Speaker C: Nah, we don't do that enough.
[00:35:46] Speaker A: She's crazy for that.
[00:35:47] Speaker C: Yeah. And then she just giving like so wrong right wing people ammunition to say this. Why we need Trump and all kind of shit like that.
And they now they so bad, now they against discrimination. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis, he called it targeted discrimination.
Said it's the blatant weaponization of government. Bipartisan government. Bipartisan activists, not bipartisan. But you get what I'm saying. Activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden Harris administration is in his final days.
See what they did?
[00:36:24] Speaker A: Yeah, she's ridiculous for that.
[00:36:26] Speaker C: Yeah, she ridiculous for that.
[00:36:27] Speaker A: She's really ridiculous for that. Cuz aside from whether he. Whoever you support, like dang, you can't. As a human, you can't help me.
[00:36:34] Speaker C: And you supposed to get help anyway, regardless of who you. Who you are.
[00:36:38] Speaker A: That's why I Said politics is too out in the open. Now, I remember back in the day when you ask your teacher, who you voting for? That's my business.
[00:36:46] Speaker C: Yeah. It wasn't a.
[00:36:47] Speaker A: It was never a conversation like that.
[00:36:50] Speaker C: It wasn't a hat or stickers on the cars or flags.
[00:36:55] Speaker A: I voted. I hate that I voted. Put your sticker away.
[00:36:59] Speaker B: I love those pictures. The car picture and you. Yeah.
Just in case y'all want to know, I'm selling tick. I'm selling stickers after the show if you guys want to buy a sticker.
[00:37:11] Speaker C: Dang. I want to buy a sticker for four years.
[00:37:12] Speaker B: It's a little late, but, you know, selling stickers, you have stickers for $10 a pop.
[00:37:21] Speaker C: So. Yeah, I meant that mentioned earlier in the episode to a little sad news. We had some death.
First, is Tony Todd. Do you know who Tony Todd is?
[00:37:31] Speaker A: Candy Man.
[00:37:32] Speaker C: That how you talk?
[00:37:33] Speaker A: I don't know. I just had to say candy.
[00:37:35] Speaker C: I should have bought that up after you talked about the beekeeper.
[00:37:39] Speaker B: Candyman.
[00:37:40] Speaker C: Yeah. Because on blue, I mean.
[00:37:42] Speaker A: Yeah, he did. Yeah.
[00:37:43] Speaker C: The bees. Yeah. Didn't it? Is he now?
[00:37:47] Speaker A: Will he really show up behind you if you say Candyman five times?
[00:37:50] Speaker C: Like, he really a ghost now.
[00:37:51] Speaker A: He really a ghost. Is that too soon?
[00:37:53] Speaker B: I thought it was three times.
[00:37:54] Speaker A: I thought it was five. Three either, or is he coming?
[00:37:58] Speaker C: He would never come pause if you had to say it five times.
[00:38:02] Speaker A: He like, come on.
[00:38:03] Speaker C: You get a three and a half.
[00:38:05] Speaker B: You're, like, showing up early.
[00:38:06] Speaker A: I thought it was five.
[00:38:08] Speaker C: I think it's three.
[00:38:09] Speaker A: Beetlejuice is three. And Bloody Mary's. I thought Bloody Mary and Candy man were five.
[00:38:15] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:38:16] Speaker A: Yeah. If y'all listening, somebody do the research.
[00:38:18] Speaker C: And you got to stand in the mirror, too, don't you?
[00:38:20] Speaker A: Right. With the lights off.
[00:38:22] Speaker C: Why the lights can't be on?
[00:38:24] Speaker A: Because when you turn on the light, he's supposed to be back there.
[00:38:26] Speaker C: Is. Is. Y'all watch that back in the day.
[00:38:29] Speaker B: Of course, those projects are going now.
[00:38:33] Speaker C: What you mean?
[00:38:34] Speaker B: Cabrini Green?
[00:38:36] Speaker C: Oh, that was in Chicago.
[00:38:37] Speaker B: It was a real project.
[00:38:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:38:38] Speaker B: Yeah. They gone now.
[00:38:39] Speaker C: Yeah. Now everybody on 63rd, so. Yeah. He was also in a Final Destination.
[00:38:49] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, he was. He wasn't on there long, though.
[00:38:52] Speaker C: No, he was just. Yeah, it was like at the airport or something. Did he play like a detective or something like that?
[00:38:58] Speaker B: Possibly.
[00:38:58] Speaker C: He still looks spooky.
[00:38:59] Speaker B: He did pop up a couple times there. And it's like, when you see him, it's like, he don't look like an actor to me. Yeah, he just looked like, you know, got into role.
[00:39:09] Speaker C: Shout out to him. He was 69 years old. Oh, still young. But you expect him to live at least 10 more years.
[00:39:16] Speaker B: Eternal.
[00:39:18] Speaker C: That's what he said.
[00:39:18] Speaker B: Eternal.
[00:39:19] Speaker C: Never watched that movie.
[00:39:20] Speaker B: He lives in the. In the mirrors.
[00:39:22] Speaker A: You should watch me live.
[00:39:22] Speaker C: The normal spirits. I don't with that.
[00:39:24] Speaker B: The new one just came out not too long ago.
[00:39:26] Speaker C: Can do. Yeah, the new one. I heard that was whack.
[00:39:29] Speaker B: It was, yeah. I was mad. I was like.
[00:39:33] Speaker C: Didn't it go straight to DVD or something like that? I mean straight.
[00:39:35] Speaker A: Because wasn't it supposed to be like a part 2 of.
[00:39:39] Speaker B: Of the old one?
[00:39:40] Speaker A: Yeah, this.
[00:39:41] Speaker C: They didn't have a part two.
[00:39:42] Speaker B: No, no.
[00:39:42] Speaker C: I was only one Candy movie.
[00:39:44] Speaker A: Yeah, I thought like the new one was supposed to be literally like part two.
[00:39:48] Speaker B: Oh, word.
[00:39:48] Speaker A: Like sequel. Part two.
[00:39:51] Speaker C: Wasn't it in a.
[00:39:52] Speaker A: But I'm not sure.
[00:39:53] Speaker B: No, it was a really. It was a f. That it was a prequel. Because they talked about what happened to Candyman before, you know, he got killed and all that.
[00:40:04] Speaker C: But it was they in the projects.
[00:40:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:40:07] Speaker C: Terrorizing black people in the peace all the time.
[00:40:10] Speaker A: Like the purge.
[00:40:13] Speaker C: In other celebrity deaf news, Quincy Jones passed away last week while we were recording last Sunday. Yeah, Quincy, 91 years old, did a lot of music, man.
[00:40:28] Speaker B: There's so many songs that you didn't realize they sampled from him.
So many of them.
[00:40:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:40:34] Speaker B: I wish I'd wrote a list of them.
[00:40:35] Speaker C: But you still be right.
[00:40:37] Speaker B: Yeah, there's a lot of.
[00:40:38] Speaker C: It's a lot. Yeah, he did. He did a lot, you know, work with Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder when Stevie was coming up and all kind of stuff, you know. I think his most famous song now is the Austin Power song.
[00:40:54] Speaker B: No.
[00:40:55] Speaker A: Which one?
[00:40:57] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:40:59] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That could be it.
[00:41:02] Speaker C: Now we all know why that we.
[00:41:04] Speaker B: Are the world's behind it, though. No. One of the Michael Jackson.
[00:41:08] Speaker C: But you. I'm. When I say more famous, I mean like you still hear it now.
[00:41:12] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:41:12] Speaker C: Because.
And then Ludicrous sampled that for.
[00:41:18] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, he did.
[00:41:20] Speaker C: Number One Shot or whatever it's called. Yeah, yeah.
[00:41:23] Speaker B: Austin Powers. That's what it is.
[00:41:25] Speaker C: It's called Soul Bosa Nova.
[00:41:27] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:41:27] Speaker C: The real name, but yeah. Shout out to Quincy Jones.
[00:41:31] Speaker B: You ever heard him talking?
[00:41:32] Speaker C: Yeah, man, I heard him talking.
He talked like he used to get real high.
[00:41:38] Speaker B: He definitely do. I heard he had the bros, though. He still had him.
[00:41:41] Speaker C: He had the broads and the bros.
[00:41:43] Speaker B: Well, you know, the ladies.
[00:41:44] Speaker C: No, he had the broads and the bros. Yeah, both of them.
[00:41:47] Speaker B: Yeah, bros too.
[00:41:48] Speaker C: Yeah, he liked both of. Yeah. So he, you know, he got a little wild out there.
[00:41:52] Speaker B: Dude in Quincy voice, I feel like a whole lot invite the boys over.
[00:41:56] Speaker A: To the house, but it's whatever.
[00:41:58] Speaker C: Yeah, man. It's groovy, man. We're gonna have some fun meeting. Stevie's gonna be there.
Michael might come by with his monkey. Man, that's gonna be real.
[00:42:07] Speaker B: Real Gr. What lady's gonna be there?
This is all. All fellow event.
[00:42:15] Speaker C: It's gonna be real.
[00:42:16] Speaker A: Y'all terrible. The man is gone.
[00:42:18] Speaker C: It's gonna be a boss of Nova.
[00:42:21] Speaker B: He's get the young ones, too. Young ladies. I'm sorry. Young ladies.
[00:42:25] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Not yeah, because I think like a month ago he said he had like, 20 something girlfriends.
[00:42:31] Speaker B: I believe it.
[00:42:32] Speaker A: He said it.
[00:42:32] Speaker C: Yeah, he said it.
[00:42:33] Speaker A: Oh, wow.
[00:42:34] Speaker C: I got like 22 girlfriends.
[00:42:35] Speaker B: I think they had. They had a documentary on him on Netflix a couple of years ago.
Yeah, was Netflix.
[00:42:43] Speaker C: I think it was on him.
[00:42:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it was.
[00:42:45] Speaker C: I know he. They did one on Clarence Avant.
[00:42:49] Speaker B: Oh, that was good.
[00:42:50] Speaker C: Yeah. The Black Godfather. Yeah, that was real good.
[00:42:52] Speaker B: That was good.
[00:42:53] Speaker C: And them too, was tight. I never heard of that guy until that documentary.
[00:42:57] Speaker B: And after that, you started hearing about him, right?
I started here. I started hearing a lot more about him.
[00:43:03] Speaker C: I did. I don't know if I heard about him or not, but I remember when his wife got killed.
[00:43:10] Speaker B: You remember when it happened?
[00:43:12] Speaker C: When his wife got killed? Yeah, last year.
[00:43:17] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:43:18] Speaker C: Last year.
[00:43:19] Speaker B: You write about that?
[00:43:20] Speaker A: That's why I've never seen a young picture of Quincy Jones. That's why he had him.
[00:43:24] Speaker C: Okay. You think?
[00:43:28] Speaker B: Is that the documentary Light Skin?
[00:43:30] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. He looked 50 there.
[00:43:31] Speaker A: He had him.
[00:43:32] Speaker B: Yeah. He look older.
[00:43:33] Speaker A: I see why he had him.
[00:43:35] Speaker B: Why? Because his mustache is Trump.
[00:43:37] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:43:38] Speaker A: Shop.
[00:43:38] Speaker C: Me and Stevie's gonna be there. We're gonna do a little. Do a little heroin, man.
[00:43:44] Speaker A: Oh, they was all about. About.
[00:43:46] Speaker C: They was regular, huh?
[00:43:48] Speaker A: That was regular for them.
[00:43:50] Speaker C: Yeah. Any jazz artist, sex, drugs and rock and roll.
[00:43:55] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. What else you got, man?
[00:43:59] Speaker C: I guess some sort of local news.
You know, the saying is, one monkey don't stop no show.
43 of the motherfuckers might, though.
[00:44:09] Speaker B: Word.
[00:44:10] Speaker C: You heard about the 43 monkeys that escaped from.
[00:44:12] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh.
[00:44:14] Speaker C: Yes. 43 monkeys escaped from Yamase.
[00:44:16] Speaker A: They're like, don't go near them. Yeah, but, you know, they better not come near me.
[00:44:20] Speaker B: The funny thing about that is when they said that, I thought it was Somebody just relaying something on social media. Because in South Carolina, they have an island with just monkeys.
[00:44:33] Speaker C: Yeah, they do got one. Yeah.
[00:44:34] Speaker B: It's called Monkey Island. And it's. And it's. You know that it's. It's animals. It's monkeys from the same thing from a center that they ran test on and stuff. Like, it's a whole island and it's in South Carolina. I thought that has something to do with this, but this is totally different.
[00:44:50] Speaker C: It's totally different. Yeah.
[00:44:52] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:44:53] Speaker C: Yeah. But these. They said the ones that.
The ones that got away.
[00:44:59] Speaker A: All right.
[00:45:00] Speaker C: Are fruit fly.
[00:45:02] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:45:03] Speaker C: The ones that got away are babies. So they didn't have a chance to run tests on these.
And then one of the updates was. One of the updates was they got one of them.
[00:45:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:45:12] Speaker C: Another one that I saw it said that the monkeys were watching the staff. Like, they would be like, it's like a perimeter fence, whatever. And they were at the fence, like, watching them, but they still inside the perimeter, wherever this center is.
[00:45:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:45:26] Speaker C: So they were watching the people. They said that they were, like, they would put food out for them, and they would, like, jump down and get the food and go back to whatever, you know, back up in the trees.
[00:45:34] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:45:35] Speaker C: They were saying that they set traps to catch them, but they really couldn't catch any of them. Like, but they see all of them, like, they're together, and they really just monkeying around, just, you know.
[00:45:44] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. So, man, let me catch one.
[00:45:46] Speaker C: Jones talking about he. If he see one, he'll shoot it. But I'm like, you wouldn't just get the monkey and keep it like it's a baby.
[00:45:52] Speaker B: Keep that mother.
[00:45:53] Speaker A: I want to know what they running tests on. That's what I want.
[00:45:55] Speaker B: Hepatitis and all that other stuff.
[00:45:58] Speaker C: Perfumes. Yeah, perfumes, makeups, and all of that.
[00:46:01] Speaker B: Y.
[00:46:02] Speaker A: So straight up animal testing.
[00:46:04] Speaker B: And that news is all over the world. Like, I seen it on NBC New York, and I seen it. I've seen that all over.
Yeah. What else you got? Be.
[00:46:15] Speaker C: Ain'T really too much else happening this week, y'all. Quick hits, I guess we getting the quick hits so we can get out of people here because y'all got something. Y'all want to get to Wednesday's episode.
[00:46:26] Speaker A: It's a good thing there's not a lot of news.
[00:46:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
And we definitely don't have to hark on the election, because everybody been talking about the election all week.
The first one is the ruby slippers from wizard of Oz.
[00:46:45] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:46:46] Speaker C: Man, they're for sale. Somebody stole them.
[00:46:49] Speaker B: Everything were missing for how many years?
[00:46:51] Speaker C: Decades. They were missing for decades.
How much did they sell for? Let me see.
They don't say how much they will sell, so. Oh, $100,000.
[00:47:01] Speaker A: That's it.
That's disrespectful to Dorothy.
[00:47:04] Speaker C: Yeah, they raised money for the Judy Garland Festival.
[00:47:10] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
That's crazy, though.
[00:47:13] Speaker A: Like, they should have been worth more.
[00:47:15] Speaker B: Just think about it. Some jewel. It wasn't even a jewel thief or nothing like that. That stolen. I think they were. Like, they lent them to somebody to use for.
[00:47:25] Speaker C: Yeah, you right. They were.
Oh, they loaned them in 2005 to the Julie Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. And then that summer, somebody smashed through a display case and stole the slippers. And they remained a mystery until the FBI recovered them in 2018.
[00:47:45] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:47:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, so it was multiple pairs of them. Cause it's four pair remaining.
Yeah. So she wore a different one. Cause you can't do all that ripping and running in the damn movie. And one pair of.
[00:47:59] Speaker A: Without them things falling apart.
[00:48:01] Speaker C: Yeah, so she got more.
[00:48:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:48:03] Speaker C: Yeah, so shout out to that.
In other news, y'all. Y'all like watching old ass movies, One of which was House Party and A.J. johnson.
Not Ezel, Jody, Mama Charane. Yeah, that's.
She said that she didn't really make any money from that, from being in the movie. So she was paid $4,000 for her role at Shireen after filming for up to two months.
But she said that she got more money from the commercial being used in Burger King. One of the scenes was used by Burger King and she made more money.
[00:48:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I might have to look that up.
[00:48:51] Speaker A: For real.
[00:48:52] Speaker B: It's probably the dancing scene.
[00:48:54] Speaker C: It's probably when I think it was. Yeah.
[00:48:56] Speaker B: Had to be the dancing because that. That scene is popular. Like.
[00:48:59] Speaker A: Yeah, like.
[00:49:01] Speaker B: Yeah, the dance all times.
[00:49:03] Speaker C: And a lot of people, like, do that dance now.
[00:49:05] Speaker B: Yep, yep. They do the whole routine. Like.
[00:49:08] Speaker C: Yeah, they do.
[00:49:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:49:10] Speaker C: In other news, I don't know if you guys. I know. Hold on.
I'm gonna get this. Myself, Snoop and Dr. Dre coming out with a new album coming soon.
[00:49:24] Speaker A: Oh, snap.
[00:49:25] Speaker B: But I guarantee it's not gonna be that good.
[00:49:27] Speaker A: It's gonna be great.
[00:49:28] Speaker B: No, I'm not excited at all.
[00:49:29] Speaker C: When's the last time Snoop made a good album?
[00:49:32] Speaker B: Doggy Style.
[00:49:35] Speaker A: He's on the Voice.
[00:49:36] Speaker B: No, he didn't make nothing good after that.
[00:49:38] Speaker C: He did.
[00:49:39] Speaker B: Yeah. Which one?
[00:49:40] Speaker C: The one with no limit?
[00:49:41] Speaker B: No, definitely not. It had three Songs on it. That was good. Okay, first song, and it was like he did a. Was it Whoop, motherfucker. Whoop, mother.
