[00:00:00] Speaker A: Them boys and re Rock the drink. We got the.
It's some science to that, though.
[00:00:05] Speaker B: Like this.
[00:00:06] Speaker A: You got a couple seconds? Yeah, and it'll rock up. I'm. See, I'm cheating.
Ah. Welcome back, y', all, to another episode of the DJ Blaze Radio show podcast. It's your boy Be easy.
[00:00:19] Speaker B: This your boy?
[00:00:20] Speaker A: L. Yo, how was your week?
[00:00:21] Speaker B: It's pretty good, man. How was yours?
[00:00:24] Speaker A: Another tiring week.
I think I might have found my vice, dog.
[00:00:28] Speaker B: You got a vice?
[00:00:29] Speaker A: I got a vice.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: What is.
[00:00:32] Speaker A: Might be poker.
Played about three or four nights this week.
[00:00:36] Speaker B: You win?
[00:00:38] Speaker A: I lost a couple nights. I won. I basically broke even one night.
[00:00:42] Speaker B: Damn.
[00:00:42] Speaker A: Well, no, one night. I did win big, though.
[00:00:44] Speaker B: Let's get into the show and tell us about it.
[00:00:45] Speaker A: All right, let's get it started in here.
Gossip, music, news, entertainment, heated discussions.
[00:00:58] Speaker B: The DJ Blaze radio show starts now.
[00:01:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:01:26] Speaker B: Yo, so what's up with that poker, man? Tell us about it, man.
[00:01:29] Speaker A: So we played one night. We played. I won kind of big, you know what I'm saying? I left out of there with a lot. Then the next night we played. I'm talking I lost my ass, man. But then we played so late, and then I had to get up and go to work the next day, and then we played the next night, and we started late, and then I kind of broke even. I won a few dollars or whatever, so.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: All right, so how much is a lost?
[00:01:56] Speaker A: Would you call a loss what I call a loss?
[00:01:59] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean.
[00:01:59] Speaker A: I mean, if I lose, if I leave with less than I took in there, that's a loss to me. But it. It's been a couple hundred dollars.
[00:02:09] Speaker B: A couple hundred.
[00:02:12] Speaker A: But I won a couple hundred, too, so.
[00:02:16] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:02:16] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying?
You still off or you had to work?
[00:02:21] Speaker B: Nah, I'm still off.
[00:02:22] Speaker A: You enjoy the offness?
[00:02:24] Speaker B: Yeah, man, I've been on the beach, okay?
[00:02:26] Speaker A: Sitting on the beach, sitting down the dock of the bay, walking, you know, wasting time.
[00:02:35] Speaker B: Walking the water a little bit.
[00:02:36] Speaker A: Word. Got your feet wet?
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Hey, I didn't say nothing.
[00:02:39] Speaker A: You put your feet in the water.
[00:02:41] Speaker B: I mean, I walked in there a little bit, but I'm not gonna say nothing crazy like that.
[00:02:44] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just crazy. You so.
Dang, you ain't. You can't say you got your feet wet.
[00:02:49] Speaker B: Nah, nah, I don't think you're supposed to.
[00:02:51] Speaker A: Okay. Did you wear a long pants?
[00:02:54] Speaker B: I had jeans on.
[00:02:55] Speaker A: You so New York. You had jeans and Tim's on at the beach.
[00:02:58] Speaker B: That's crazy. I just put A post about New York versus South.
[00:03:01] Speaker A: What's the.
[00:03:02] Speaker B: While we were sitting here getting ready for the show.
[00:03:03] Speaker A: What's the New York versus South?
[00:03:05] Speaker B: It's all. I think Southern people don't like New Yorkers.
It's always a debate.
[00:03:11] Speaker A: Well, it's not a debate, but it's always. Y' all come down here. Oh, boy. I'm so New York this, I'm so New York that, and I'm from New York, son. We don't sell and so and so and all of that. You know, we get tired of hearing that.
[00:03:23] Speaker B: That was 20 years ago.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: They still do it today.
[00:03:25] Speaker B: They don't do that no more.
[00:03:27] Speaker A: They still do that.
[00:03:29] Speaker B: Yeah. So I got in the water a little bit.
[00:03:31] Speaker A: Well, that's what's up.
[00:03:33] Speaker B: That sun drained you, though.
[00:03:34] Speaker A: That sun will drain you.
[00:03:35] Speaker B: I was out of there.
[00:03:36] Speaker A: That's part of. That's part of my tiredness, too, from the week, because it's been extra hot.
[00:03:40] Speaker B: That's it.
[00:03:40] Speaker A: Then it's extra hot on that pavement, walking that lot. So you know what I'm saying? That'll drain, too.
[00:03:45] Speaker B: But, hey, you got dress shoes on, too. You feel the. Feel the.
[00:03:48] Speaker A: I don't wear dress shoes. Not for the most part.
I wear, like, some sneakers. I will wear dress shoes every now and then when I'm feeling a little more corporate.
[00:03:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:03:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:03:56] Speaker B: Okay. Okay.
[00:03:58] Speaker A: What you watch this week? Anything?
[00:04:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
Caught up on Cape Fear. Did you ever start that yet?
[00:04:04] Speaker A: Nah, I probably won't.
[00:04:06] Speaker B: Why? It's not gory.
[00:04:07] Speaker A: No, I probably won't. Just it's so many shows that's out now, and that's a part of my thing, too. So, like, I listened to a podcast where they read.
They talked about the first season of Insecure. So I'm like, I might get back up on Insecure, man.
You know what I'm saying? And then I went to do it, and then the agency came out. So I had started the agency, and then. You know what I'm saying? Now Netflix got a show called I'll Be Watching you or something like that. I might check it out.
[00:04:40] Speaker B: I will find you.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: I will find you. That's it. I might check that out.
[00:04:44] Speaker B: That's one of my watches.
[00:04:45] Speaker A: For real?
[00:04:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:46] Speaker A: How is it?
[00:04:47] Speaker B: It's pretty good.
[00:04:48] Speaker A: Is it, like, suspense?
[00:04:49] Speaker B: Yeah, it's about.
It's some kind of twist to it.
[00:04:53] Speaker A: You finished it?
[00:04:54] Speaker B: No, I think I got, like, three or four more episodes, so I'll probably
[00:04:59] Speaker A: start that this week.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: I'm Midway.
It's about a guy. He was kind Of. I guess he was framed or something like that. That he killed his son.
[00:05:07] Speaker A: Okay. I knew something had to do with the son being missing.
[00:05:09] Speaker B: Yeah. So that's all I'm going to give to. It is.
[00:05:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:05:13] Speaker B: A lot of.
[00:05:13] Speaker A: But it's good, though.
[00:05:14] Speaker B: Yeah, it's pretty good.
[00:05:16] Speaker A: So that. Can't feel. What else?
[00:05:18] Speaker B: Raising Canaan.
[00:05:19] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:05:20] Speaker B: Are you up on it?
[00:05:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, did I finish today? Yeah, I finished this episode, man.
[00:05:24] Speaker B: What do you think about the whole.
What's called leaving. He's gone to my neat.
[00:05:31] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's stupid. The whole show is kind of stupid to me.
[00:05:35] Speaker B: Did you see how he, like, rolled off into the sunset, rode off to the bridge and all that. He'll never be back. There's only one person that can do that. It's him.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. This. This whole thing is just a lot of it. Like Kanan hating his mama so much.
[00:05:51] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: That he pulled a pistol out on her.
[00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:54] Speaker A: Like, come on, man.
[00:05:55] Speaker B: It's good, though.
[00:05:57] Speaker A: It's.
[00:05:57] Speaker B: It's bad, but it's good.
[00:05:59] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. I. When it's bad and good, I say it's entertaining.
[00:06:03] Speaker B: There you go.
[00:06:04] Speaker A: It's entertaining.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: Yeah, it's entertaining.
[00:06:06] Speaker A: The best actor out of best scenes with Snap and Pop or Pop and Crackle or whatever their names is.
[00:06:13] Speaker B: Are you being wire biased?
I mean, I think you are.
[00:06:19] Speaker A: No wonder. Pierce is, like, one of the greatest actors.
[00:06:22] Speaker B: Yeah, but the girl, she ain't.
[00:06:23] Speaker A: You don't think Crackle connect.
[00:06:25] Speaker B: Crackling Acting. She just. She just say a couple of words
[00:06:28] Speaker A: behind him and she's there. Yeah.
Yeah.
[00:06:32] Speaker B: It could have been a role with him by.
[00:06:33] Speaker A: What's his name? Popping Snapper was Popping Crack.
Snapping Pops is a snap and pops and Snaps.
I don't know, man, but he's doing. He do it. He do a good job, but you know what I'm saying? This nigga probably wake up. He probably really ain't even acting. This probably just how he is in real life.
[00:06:50] Speaker B: That's the real him.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He always. He always is like that, you know, not the Bubs.
[00:06:55] Speaker B: Oh, not. Not. What was this, the Bunk? Bunk, Not Bunk.
[00:06:58] Speaker A: The Bunk. Yeah, this is.
[00:07:00] Speaker B: This the real him. Street. Him I like.
[00:07:02] Speaker A: I think the only difference is he might be, like, holding back on his New Orleans accent.
[00:07:08] Speaker B: Oh, he got an accent.
[00:07:09] Speaker A: He from New Orleans, so I. I never heard his New Orleans accent, but he's from New Orleans, so I figured he got a little bit of lit, baby.
[00:07:16] Speaker B: And, oh, you know, he looked like he from.
He Looked like he from the Y. He looked like you're from Baltimore.
[00:07:24] Speaker A: Baltimore.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: Baltimore.
[00:07:26] Speaker A: Yeah. But shout out. Shout out to one the Pierce man. When the Pierce is that man.
[00:07:30] Speaker B: Yeah, I like him.
[00:07:31] Speaker A: He might not like the N word. He in that. He in that age range where he might not like the N word. So I just say he's that dude.
[00:07:38] Speaker B: You think so?
[00:07:39] Speaker A: Yeah. A little older, you know, in that age range, a lot of them don't like the N word.
[00:07:42] Speaker B: You're right.
[00:07:43] Speaker A: Then above that age, they say the N word a lot.
[00:07:46] Speaker B: You know what I'm saying?
[00:07:47] Speaker A: Like, my dad and them, man, my daddy used to say it.
[00:07:49] Speaker B: The ones that was teenagers in the 70s.
[00:07:52] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. You come up in the 70s. They say the N word a lot.
[00:07:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:55] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? Then it was the age after that, they was like, we're not saying the N word. It's degrading.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: And the black power movement.
[00:08:01] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Then us. Then us. We just. It's like a. It make our teeth white.
Yeah. What you gotta say 100 times a day, like, Paul Mooney say, this nigger
[00:08:14] Speaker B: has always been white. Inside
[00:08:20] Speaker A: Wayne Brady makes Brian Gumbel look like Malcolm X.
But yeah, Shout out to one of the Pierce, though. But yeah, yeah, it is entertaining. Like, you can't. Like, if I stop watching halfway through an episode, I gotta finish the episode.
[00:08:36] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:08:36] Speaker A: I gotta finish the episode.
[00:08:37] Speaker B: So I thought he was gonna say, if you stop, you don't go back.
[00:08:40] Speaker A: Yeah. Or like Kanan's 50 Cent accent.
Moms, you pisses me off. It's over for me and you moms.
[00:08:47] Speaker B: I hate you.
[00:08:48] Speaker A: Mom.
[00:08:49] Speaker B: Yeah, you do it better than me.
Terrible.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: Then he 14. This, like, 14. Look, he got his own apartment. This. Driving a Porsche.
I got. I gotta get a new clue.
[00:09:00] Speaker B: So how you feel about Breeze?
[00:09:03] Speaker A: He's a good actor, too.
[00:09:05] Speaker B: He's just Raekwan in it.
[00:09:06] Speaker A: Yeah, he's Ray Quan.
And you know, I say he's a good actor because he plays Spider man, too.
[00:09:13] Speaker B: What do you mean?
[00:09:14] Speaker A: He's Miles Morales in the animated Spider Man. Joe.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: Oh, he ain't acting for real. He's just the voiceover.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: But I'm saying he's. He's still like. I don't. When he's talking at. When he's Raekwon or when he's Breeze, I don't hear Spider Man.
[00:09:28] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:09:28] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? So.
[00:09:29] Speaker B: Yeah, I got you.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: I don't hear Miles Morales.
[00:09:32] Speaker B: So he's supposed to be on that new RZA movie. I gotta check and see if that's out.
[00:09:35] Speaker A: This is like a action movie.
[00:09:37] Speaker B: Yeah, it's called Bubble something. It's called.
[00:09:40] Speaker A: I'm trying.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: Oh, man, I gotta look it up.
[00:09:42] Speaker A: I'm trying to think about seeing that, Joe.
[00:09:44] Speaker B: No, it.
[00:09:45] Speaker A: Not me seeing the previews for it.
[00:09:46] Speaker B: Oh, it might have just.
It might be just coming out in July if it's not out on the app, so.
[00:09:53] Speaker A: Raising Canaan. What else?
[00:09:55] Speaker B: What else? I watch.
Oh, I watched that documentary.
[00:09:59] Speaker A: Which one?
[00:10:01] Speaker B: Parental.
[00:10:02] Speaker A: Oh, Maternal instinct.
[00:10:03] Speaker B: Maternal instinct.
[00:10:04] Speaker A: What'd you think?
[00:10:05] Speaker B: It was crazy.
[00:10:06] Speaker A: The. The funniest part. And now people posting memes of the doctor when he came out of the. When he was okay from the thing. He was like.
[00:10:12] Speaker B: He's like now, no baby, ain't no
[00:10:14] Speaker A: baby came out of there. He was chuckling, she was like, we got her. No baby came out of there. That dude was funny, man.
[00:10:20] Speaker B: He was popping the pool.
The glove snapped and all.
[00:10:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
No baby, ain't no baby. Ain't no baby came out of there.
[00:10:28] Speaker B: He didn't even look over at the cops.
[00:10:29] Speaker A: He just walked out saying, yeah.
[00:10:31] Speaker B: Yeah, that was pretty good
[00:10:35] Speaker A: the way it started. Like, I really couldn't tell where they were going with. Well, I mean, you kind of could tell where they were going with it, but.
Yeah.
[00:10:43] Speaker B: Do we want to say what happened at this point?
[00:10:46] Speaker A: Because it's a true story.
[00:10:47] Speaker B: Hey, the goriest part is when they said we had to turn over and see if the baby was still there.
[00:10:52] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Around the end.
[00:10:53] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
What would you do?
I would go crazy, man.
[00:10:59] Speaker A: No kidding. Think about like, that's probably like a filet. That was the.
[00:11:04] Speaker B: The.
[00:11:04] Speaker A: The regular people had said that. Was it a regular person that said that?
[00:11:09] Speaker B: No, it was his.
It was.
[00:11:13] Speaker A: Or was it their friend?
[00:11:14] Speaker B: Stepfather.
[00:11:15] Speaker A: It was a friend.
[00:11:16] Speaker B: The person that went in there to check on her. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:11:19] Speaker A: I think he was like a friend of them. But yeah, that like even this part, like they knew at this part, like in the beginning. There you go, there you go, there you go. Ain't no baby came out of there.
[00:11:31] Speaker B: Ain't no baby came out of there. She was like, why, why you acting like that?
[00:11:34] Speaker A: Why?
Like she didn't know. The police knew in the beginning.
[00:11:37] Speaker B: I didn't know watching it.
[00:11:39] Speaker A: That.
[00:11:40] Speaker B: So you didn't. You didn't tell what it was about?
[00:11:43] Speaker A: Oh, I didn't.
[00:11:45] Speaker B: So the first scene is her riding with the baby in her lap. Uh huh. You know what I was looking for?
[00:11:49] Speaker A: What?
[00:11:50] Speaker B: I was looking for blood in her pants on her Pants or something, like,
[00:11:53] Speaker A: in between her legs.
[00:11:54] Speaker B: There was no point, no blood.
[00:11:55] Speaker A: So did you know it. Did you pick up on that in the beginning?
[00:11:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:59] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: Yep. I was like, something's going on. I was like. But then when they said that the cord. The umbilical cord was still attached, I thought they was talking about attached to her, but it was attached to the baby.
[00:12:10] Speaker A: Attached to the baby? Yeah.
Did the baby. Did the baby die? Yeah, the baby did die. Yeah. Okay.
[00:12:16] Speaker B: Ooh, did we.
Spoiler alert.
[00:12:19] Speaker A: Watch it.
[00:12:20] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a good one.
[00:12:21] Speaker A: I mean, it's at this point. Cause I think I watched it a week or two late, like, after it came out. Oh.
[00:12:28] Speaker B: So I watched it even.
[00:12:29] Speaker A: And I watched it once people started talking about it.
[00:12:32] Speaker B: Damn. You got some kind of algorithm, man.
[00:12:34] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
I follow.
And I'm like, friends on social media with people that watching stuff all the time. Like, you know, so I catch stuff early.
[00:12:46] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:12:46] Speaker A: When they talk about it. That's why a lot of times I'll try to watch stuff real early before, like, people on my algorithm start watching it and talking about it, because they may spoil it. You know what I'm saying? So I try to go ahead and get on it. Like, it was one show that I said I was gonna watch, but. Yeah. So that's all you watched this week?
[00:13:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I think that was it. It was another documentary, but I can't remember off top of my head what it was.
[00:13:10] Speaker A: It is one that I want to watch, even though I know the story it's about. You remember during COVID times when the.
The family, they. It was a little boy. It was, like, a lot of police tension or whatever. It was one of those killings that, you know, had a lot of protests, whatever. But one of the kids, it might have been.
What's his name?
George Floyd. Might have been a George Floyd thing where there's a lot of protests around the nation or whatever. But remember, it was a kid. Little kid hugging a cop, crying.
And he had, like, a sign. He was crying. He had, like, a. One of them hats on fedoras or whatever on. And he was hugging the cop on some stairs.
[00:13:53] Speaker B: Was it?
[00:13:54] Speaker A: No, it was like, in the middle of the. Like in the middle of a protest or whatever.
[00:13:58] Speaker B: I kind of.
[00:13:58] Speaker A: Kind of see it.
That picture went viral.
That kid was adopted by a white lesbian couple.
And, you know, you don't really hear nothing about them. And then the next thing you really hear about them is that that family and with him and some other adopted kids drove off of a cliff What? Yeah, and so they did. Yeah, they did. And so it came out that these women were abusive. This, that, and the third. And then they were like. There was like a.
A podcast, like, document, like an audio documentary about the lives of those kids that.
[00:14:39] Speaker B: And.
[00:14:40] Speaker A: And that those ladies. And now there's a documentary on Netflix about it, and I wanted to start that. But did you. You didn't watch Atlanta, did you?
[00:14:49] Speaker B: Yeah, of course.
[00:14:50] Speaker A: So you know the episode of Atlanta when the blue boy, he. He's in school dancing, acting up his granddaddy come and slap him in the face? Yeah, yeah, that episode. A lot of the stuff that happened in the episode was taken from that lady in the family.
[00:15:05] Speaker B: Oh, so you know at the end
[00:15:07] Speaker A: when they killed her and he jump out the van. Yeah, that's. That's where they get that from. But in the real life, the boy was in the van.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: Where'd you hear this from the documentary?
[00:15:16] Speaker A: What?
What did I hear? What?
[00:15:17] Speaker B: Like that. This linked together like that.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: No, I knew, like, so when the episode was going on, I recognized it because.
[00:15:26] Speaker B: Oh, so you knew that.
[00:15:27] Speaker A: I knew of the story. I knew the story already.
[00:15:29] Speaker B: Oh, so you knew the story?
[00:15:30] Speaker A: I knew the story when the episode came out.
[00:15:32] Speaker B: Okay, okay. I thought you just watched a documentary.
[00:15:35] Speaker A: No, no, no, no, no. I knew the story and I recognized it. Kind of like the thing with. In the beginning of the episode, like, everything in that episode came from social media. Like him dancing on the desk.
[00:15:45] Speaker B: Yeah, like the kids.
[00:15:46] Speaker A: That was the kids at the school. At the school with Black Panther when they were going to get to see Black Panther.
The granddaddy slapping them in the face three times.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: Why was that?
[00:15:55] Speaker A: That came from social media. Social media clip. Oh, wow.
All of that. All of that came from social. Even at the beginning of that episode, it was something with late Lanier in, like, Georgia or whatever. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:16:10] Speaker B: Oh, that's crazy.
[00:16:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:16:15] Speaker B: Come back. Come back to the. Come back to the.
[00:16:17] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I had a little. I got a little situation. You know what I'm saying? But, yeah, so I want to watch that documentary. What documentary was it that you wanted to watch?
[00:16:27] Speaker B: I can't remember was. I think I watched two documentaries, and I don't know if it was a murder One or not, but it was beginning of the week, and then towards the end of the week, I've been out running around, so I don't remember.
[00:16:40] Speaker A: Okay.
Like you. I watched Raising Canaan.
I'm watching the Shy now. I haven't finished that episode. It's just all over the place. Just some wild stuff happening on the Chi.
Almost as wild as.
Especially, like from where the show started. It's pretty much just like. Just outrageous stuff to me. You know what I'm saying?
[00:17:01] Speaker B: When is it over, man? I'm tired of hearing about it.
[00:17:03] Speaker A: Yeah. And then I finished watching the Agency, which is a real good, Real good show.
It's on Paramount Plus, I think.
Yeah, I think it's on Paramount. I watch it on prime, but I think I got like the Paramount plus extension or whatever.
[00:17:17] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:17:17] Speaker A: So. Yeah, so that's really all I watched.
[00:17:20] Speaker B: I've been watching Paradise. Did you watch all of that?
[00:17:24] Speaker A: Paradise? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I finished season two.
[00:17:28] Speaker B: That's what I'm on.
[00:17:29] Speaker A: What season you on? Two.
[00:17:30] Speaker B: Two. Yeah. I'm probably like.
[00:17:31] Speaker A: What part you on?
[00:17:33] Speaker B: Third episode, season two.
[00:17:34] Speaker A: Oh, God. You got a little ways to go.
[00:17:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:17:36] Speaker A: It get kind of. It gonna get science fiction at the end too. Even though it already is science fictiony.
[00:17:41] Speaker B: Yeah, the first one was like that.
[00:17:44] Speaker A: The first season?
[00:17:45] Speaker B: Yeah, the first episode. They look. He was like, hold on, they're not in.
[00:17:49] Speaker A: Well, they showed it on the first
[00:17:50] Speaker B: episode, I think it was. They showed the up the sky.
[00:17:54] Speaker A: Yeah, I. I don't know if I
[00:17:56] Speaker B: ended the first episode of the beginning of the second.
[00:17:58] Speaker A: Okay. Early on, they do let you know. Okay.
[00:18:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:00] Speaker A: All right.
But yeah, man, we don't got. Really. We don't have. We don't have no emails.
Yeah.
[00:18:08] Speaker B: You people.
[00:18:09] Speaker A: Was that you?
[00:18:10] Speaker B: Nice. The roof makes noise.
[00:18:13] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:18:13] Speaker B: You people, man. Send us an email.
[00:18:16] Speaker A: Yeah, send us the email dj blaze
[email protected]. matter of fact, send us an email.
Let us know what you thought about the BET Awards, because that's the night.
[00:18:26] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:18:26] Speaker A: Yeah. You gonna watch?
[00:18:28] Speaker B: I usually don't, but since we're gonna talk about it, I guess I gotta watch.
[00:18:31] Speaker A: Yeah, man, I'm gonna watch the be.
I was about to say I like the BET Awards, but in fact, I love the BET Awards.
[00:18:39] Speaker B: Are you for real?
[00:18:40] Speaker A: Yeah, man. The BET Awards always is good. Cause it has the good.
[00:18:49] Speaker B: You don't think it's too
[00:18:52] Speaker A: black?
[00:18:53] Speaker B: What do you mean, too urban?
What?
[00:18:55] Speaker A: What is too urban?
[00:18:57] Speaker B: I don't want to say the N word right now, but you think it's too.
[00:19:00] Speaker A: What about the BET Awards is too urban?
[00:19:03] Speaker B: Ain't that the one where Sexy Red was dancing on the Preacher Jones or whatever his name is?
[00:19:10] Speaker A: I don't know if she was dancing on him.
[00:19:12] Speaker B: Well, right in front of him.
[00:19:14] Speaker A: She was in front of him.
[00:19:15] Speaker B: Yeah. She was twerking in front of him.
[00:19:16] Speaker A: But I mean, he was there. She wasn't in his lap.
[00:19:19] Speaker B: That was the awards might have been
[00:19:21] Speaker A: the BET if Bobby Jones was there.
[00:19:23] Speaker B: Yeah, it was Bobby Jones.
[00:19:24] Speaker A: Then it was the BET Awards. Cause they have all of the whole, you know, all of the culture. But yeah, they went in most of the time. It's like good production. Cause see, sometimes you say the BET Awards and people think the BET Hip Hop Awards, okay, so the BET Hip Hop Awards is a little more, you know, little more hood.
[00:19:40] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:19:40] Speaker A: A little more. You know what I'm saying? But the BET Awards normally have everybody.
[00:19:44] Speaker B: Oh, so that's why Bobby Jones was there. Yeah, it wasn't the hip hop joints.
[00:19:48] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. So. And then she was big that year, so. But the BET was always as good to me, like the opening act. Like Monique used to do. Like one time she was doing like the Beyonce dance, but it was a whole bunch of big girls and she killed that or whatever. Yeah.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: What time it come on? Come on, like 8 o'. Clock.
[00:20:06] Speaker A: Well, it's gonna start at like 5, 5:30, like the pre. Joan, I wanna say Trap Dicky gonna be there this year. I know he's nominated, but I don't know, he might be performing. I think last year eight or three fresh performed and some of the people that's from close to here, come here, they performed early or whatever. So I wanna see.
I don't know if I'll catch the red carpet stuff, but I do wanna see the performances and stuff. I'll try to watch it while. Cause one thing we used to do back in the day is what they say, watch stuff like a family. So we be watching the show like Scandal and be tweeting as you watching the show, you know what I'm saying? That shit used to be fun, you know what I'm saying?
[00:20:45] Speaker B: Oh, you like that?
[00:20:46] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:20:47] Speaker B: So you gonna do that tonight?
[00:20:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm gonna watch it and be on social media, you know what I'm saying?
[00:20:50] Speaker B: Shout out to Amy.
[00:20:51] Speaker A: Shout out to Amy. Amy. Amy. That was Amy. Amy Bione Boy.
[00:20:55] Speaker B: Amy B. On there.
[00:20:56] Speaker A: Amy B. On A Boy. Yeah. She was the main one who have it going though.
[00:20:59] Speaker B: So. Talk about the VE2 awards. Do you think Big Ticket's gonna be there?
[00:21:03] Speaker A: Ah, well, it's to host it by. He ain't hosting. Drew Ski. Hosting, hosting.
How you feel about Drew Ski?
[00:21:12] Speaker B: He's growing on me.
[00:21:13] Speaker A: Really?
[00:21:13] Speaker B: Pause. Yeah.
[00:21:14] Speaker A: When has he grown?
When he started.
How was he?
[00:21:19] Speaker B: He was annoying.
[00:21:20] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:21:21] Speaker B: Regular fat guy.
Fall on the ground kind of make you laugh.
[00:21:26] Speaker A: When did he. When did the switch happen with you?
[00:21:29] Speaker B: The switch happened when I realized it's not gonna change.
[00:21:32] Speaker A: Okay?
[00:21:32] Speaker B: It's him. It's. That's it. Ah, I don't like the big smiling, showing all the teeth and all that shit.
[00:21:40] Speaker A: Maybe that's just how he does.
[00:21:41] Speaker B: That's his style of comedy. I don't like that style of comedy. I don't like the.
[00:21:45] Speaker A: The ha ha ha.
[00:21:47] Speaker B: So you laugh too.
I don't like that. You see, he's doing it right there on the screen.
[00:21:51] Speaker A: Well, I mean, he's having a conversation.
[00:21:53] Speaker B: I understand.
[00:21:55] Speaker A: It kind of switched when he started doing the coulda been records. At first, I didn't get the coulda been records stuff, and I was like, okay, some of this stuff kind of funny or whatever. But then when he started doing, like, this is how this type of person acts.
He'd be like, this is how the Q Dog act. Or this how the old dude with the new bike act.
[00:22:15] Speaker B: I like that.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: That stuff right there got funny to me. And then when he came to Darlington, he did the one at Darlington. I was like, oh, shoot, hold up. And then he did the preacher and all the other stuff. I'm like, dawg, this dude, like, he really can act like them people.
[00:22:28] Speaker B: Yeah, skits are getting funnier.
[00:22:30] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:22:30] Speaker B: I did watch a show recently, though.
[00:22:32] Speaker A: What? The could have Been Records.
[00:22:33] Speaker B: Could have Been Baby Daddy. That's the name of it.
[00:22:36] Speaker A: Oh, no, I ain't saw that one.
[00:22:37] Speaker B: So it could have Been records. They had a lady come up there. Well, a girl. I think she was pregnant.
She might have been pregnant at the time or just had a baby.
And she was super hood. Like, she was like, you know, talking crazy. And so they was going back and forth.
Well, they made a whole new episode with, you know, he's acting like they had the baby shower and all that. Oh, it turned into a skit. But, you know.
[00:23:03] Speaker A: Oh, oh. Cause I know he did. He had a.
He had a house, and it was like a reality show. My cousin watched that would watch that.
[00:23:12] Speaker B: Joan. Oh, I did see that.
[00:23:13] Speaker A: Yeah. But I didn't know if that was like a offshoot of the house or.
[00:23:17] Speaker B: Nah, but he moved her into a house and all that.
[00:23:20] Speaker A: Oh, he moved the chicken to the
[00:23:21] Speaker B: house at movies, and they had a big party, and he was acting like, you know how one of the baby daddies would be like, yeah, look at all these girls out here. And, you know, just doing his regular one, too. But that Part. I like him for that part. I like that.
[00:23:37] Speaker A: I'm definitely gonna check it out. I know it starts at like 5:30 or something like that, the pre stuff and I guess the real show probably kick off about 8, 8:30, something like that. I'm a watch it though. It give me one thing to watch tonight while I'm relaxing.
[00:23:50] Speaker B: You'll be relaxing. You could be watching two movies and playing the video game at all.
[00:23:55] Speaker A: The video game definitely will be on while the BET Awards and. And on social media. So how do you do that?
[00:24:01] Speaker B: Like, how do you.
[00:24:03] Speaker A: I mean, most of the stuff you listening to the video game is muted.
[00:24:07] Speaker B: See, if the listeners don't know you know you, they know. If they do know you know you, they know you can't do two things at one time.
[00:24:15] Speaker A: I can do two things at one time, man.
[00:24:17] Speaker B: I'm telling you, you be focused on that one thing. And if anything ruffles.
[00:24:22] Speaker A: No, but this you're throwing off. But you talking about something where I have to like, pay attention, do concentration, like. And I'm actively doing something. Like this is totally different because I, I have, I.
I don't want distractions when I'm doing certain things. Other stuff is. I don't mind, I don't care. You know what I'm saying? But yeah, like you mentioned earlier, somebody that was a part of BET for a long time. Big Tigger basement.
From the basement.
He got his own radio show.
[00:24:55] Speaker B: Did you like the Big Ticket show?
[00:24:57] Speaker A: The Big Tigger Show?
[00:24:58] Speaker B: Well, Rhapsody basement, yeah, Used to watch
[00:25:01] Speaker A: the basement every day.
[00:25:02] Speaker B: Who was your favorite guest on there?
[00:25:04] Speaker A: My favorite guest?
[00:25:05] Speaker B: Yeah, in the basement. Matter of fact, who was your favorite guest?
[00:25:08] Speaker A: DJ DJ Blaze.
[00:25:11] Speaker B: There we go. Two times, right? What are you talking about? He was on there twice.
[00:25:14] Speaker A: Ah, no, he was there once.
[00:25:16] Speaker B: I think he was twice.
[00:25:17] Speaker A: I know he was there once. B Law was there before.
[00:25:20] Speaker B: B was there.
Lord Jazz was there.
[00:25:23] Speaker A: Lord Jazz. Okay.
[00:25:25] Speaker B: Taz was there.
[00:25:26] Speaker A: Taz was there. Yeah.
[00:25:27] Speaker B: I seen all these people before I even moved down here.
[00:25:30] Speaker A: Really?
[00:25:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:25:32] Speaker A: So when you saw him though, did you.
[00:25:34] Speaker B: The first one. No, I didn't pay attention to him.
[00:25:37] Speaker A: But I mean, did you. Did you say, oh, they from South Carolina. I got family in South Carolina.
[00:25:40] Speaker B: Nah, it was B Lloyd, the one that, when I recognized, I was like, that's a nigga from that, that video. Wave your head around like a helicopter. I think it was. I linked them together. I was like, oh, he was either in that.
[00:25:54] Speaker A: I think he was in the other video with Petey.
[00:25:57] Speaker B: It was either Way it was either I saw that video first and then I seen him on there, or I seen him on there and then seen the video.
[00:26:02] Speaker A: Video. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was in that. He was in.
Cause him and Petey got kind of cool. And Petey Pablo got kind of cool.
[00:26:11] Speaker B: Who?
[00:26:12] Speaker A: B. Lor. Oh, I want to say that. Cause.
Yeah, yeah. I want to say they got cool. Cause he was. But he was in.
[00:26:18] Speaker B: He was in the video.
[00:26:19] Speaker A: I want to say it was Petey Pablo's second video, whatever his second video was.
I don't know. Maybe he was in the throw your hands in a helicopter. I don't know.
[00:26:26] Speaker B: I think it was that one.
[00:26:27] Speaker A: I'm gonna have to look it up.
[00:26:28] Speaker B: Cause I think that's his fame, his famous.
[00:26:31] Speaker A: What is that?
[00:26:32] Speaker B: His most famous one?
[00:26:33] Speaker A: Probably so Peter Pablo. Yeah, yeah. But, you know, he had, like, freaka leak and I told y'. All. And what was the one where it was him and Timberland and they were like, at like a circus or something like that outside.
[00:26:46] Speaker B: You got me on that one. You know why? I think it's the Wave your wave. Wave your shirt like a helicopter. Because Beloy used to wear the T
[00:26:54] Speaker A: shirt on this on his head.
[00:26:55] Speaker B: And I think he had it in the video.
[00:26:56] Speaker A: In the video. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But Big Tigger.
So he was arrested on charges of battery and cruelty to children after an altercation with his wife.
And she had made, like, a video, and her eye was bus open, and she had a black eye, and she claimed that he tackled her to the ground to get his phone back. So he busted her lip and all kind of stuff.
[00:27:26] Speaker B: Damn.
[00:27:26] Speaker A: And then the video came out.
[00:27:29] Speaker B: Which one you think hurt her the most? Getting hit or what was gonna be in the phone?
[00:27:35] Speaker A: She ain't even got hit, though.
[00:27:36] Speaker B: Shoot. I like that.
[00:27:38] Speaker A: He was trying to get the phone for her, and they both. They both fell into the door, and she hit her eye on the door.
[00:27:45] Speaker B: That's a round mark. I've seen the pictures.
[00:27:47] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. And we got the video.
[00:27:50] Speaker B: Not the. Not the altercation. Yeah. Oh, word.
[00:27:53] Speaker A: Yeah. You think. You think I'm playing?
[00:27:55] Speaker B: Oh, we got it.
[00:27:56] Speaker A: We got it all over here. Yeah, it's audio, too.
To it. Let me see.
You can hear it.
[00:28:04] Speaker B: Where they at? They in the house?
[00:28:05] Speaker A: Yeah, they in the house.
[00:28:07] Speaker B: It looked like a record label or somewhere.
[00:28:09] Speaker A: Yeah, so it's a. We see. We seen it in. As with the.
With the
[00:28:18] Speaker B: damn.
[00:28:18] Speaker A: In the mirror, too.
[00:28:20] Speaker B: Oh, that's what we're watching through the mirror.
[00:28:22] Speaker A: No, so we see. You can see the mirror on the left. I mean, on the right side of the screen.
[00:28:29] Speaker B: Man, fuck, Big Tigger. Look how little she is.
[00:28:34] Speaker A: Well, see, she got the phone.
[00:28:36] Speaker B: You're going through it now.
[00:28:37] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, but you want me to play it again?
[00:28:42] Speaker B: Nah. That's your boy, huh, Tigger?
[00:28:45] Speaker A: There you go.
Get off of me.
Get off of me.
[00:28:56] Speaker B: I know that hurt.
Yeah, he should have jumped up and said, I'm sorry.
[00:29:00] Speaker A: Yeah, dang.
But he was like. I don't think he said something like, look what you made me do or
[00:29:06] Speaker B: whatever, you know he did.
[00:29:08] Speaker A: That's what they always say, but they saying that it really not his fault. Like, you could tell he was just trying to get the phone or whatever.
[00:29:14] Speaker B: Nah, he was a little too aggressive.
[00:29:16] Speaker A: But, I mean, if you got my phone, you got my stuff.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: Oh, so you. You. You vouching for it, huh?
[00:29:21] Speaker A: I'm just saying I don't think he. I don't think he gonna get big. It ain't as bad as him whooping her ass.
[00:29:26] Speaker B: Like he threw around at the beginning, though.
He put away. He put his weight on her.
[00:29:32] Speaker A: I mean, man, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Get my damn phone. That what your ass get.
[00:29:39] Speaker B: Aight, Ike?
[00:29:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
Okay if I ask for my stuff?
[00:29:45] Speaker B: Give it back.
[00:29:45] Speaker A: Give it back right Then get here. Get handed here.
[00:29:48] Speaker B: Get here.
[00:29:49] Speaker A: I mean, her eye bust open, though.
[00:29:52] Speaker B: What do you think hurt the most?
Her eye from trying to get away. She already knew he was cheating. What was in it?
[00:29:59] Speaker A: Oh, well, she already knew, so it was a.
Allegedly. It was a text from his coworker, and she accused him of having sex.
So I don't know what. You know what I'm saying? Y' all gotta stop doing that texting
[00:30:15] Speaker B: not to stop doing the.
[00:30:17] Speaker A: Just stop the text. Just say, you know what I'm saying? Keep it. And then when y' all meet up, talking as nasty as you want. But now y'. All. Y' all want to text. Yeah, you like how I put that on you last night, huh? You can't lie your way out of that.
[00:30:28] Speaker B: Giving it all up.
[00:30:29] Speaker A: You can't lie. Yeah, you can't lie your way out of that. You know what I'm saying? If you say something like, get. You know, I like that syrup you gave me. And then you'd be like, what kind of syrup? Like, we was eating pancakes. Nigga, what you talking about? You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, so I don't.
I don't know what's gonna happen with Titty.
[00:30:48] Speaker B: He gonna get canceled for Two days
[00:30:50] Speaker A: he ain't gonna get canceled.
[00:30:52] Speaker B: He'll be back before the BET Awards air.
[00:30:55] Speaker A: Ain't nobody getting canceled.
Another big thing that happened this week. Well, I mean, it's probably gonna go on until.
Until after the concert. After July, was it? 11th and 12th. 13th. 11th and 12th.
[00:31:14] Speaker B: Overday was yesterday, right?
[00:31:16] Speaker A: Day before yesterday. June 25th.
[00:31:18] Speaker B: Friday.
[00:31:19] Speaker A: Yeah. So the Roc Nation, they were kicking off a 10 day. Okay, I was right. 10 day celebration of the 30th anniversary of reasonable Doubt.
[00:31:28] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:31:29] Speaker A: So, yeah, they had some pop up stuff.
They had a thing at the Brooklyn Library and you could get like a library card with Reasonable Doubt on it.
[00:31:39] Speaker B: They had the whole Train.
[00:31:40] Speaker A: Yeah, they got. Yeah, train with wrapped wrap with the,
[00:31:43] Speaker B: with the rocks with holding the hand and then.
[00:31:46] Speaker A: Oh, it's dope because it. The hands is on the doors when the doors open.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: Oh, for real. I didn't realize that, but I think that was just one train that they had the merch on.
Was it? I don't know because I. I saw when there was some people walking through a train and they had like the jackets.
[00:32:04] Speaker A: Oh, like on the hanging, stuff like that. Yeah, yeah. They gonna have a store with, with. They did a Yankees collab. So you got the Yankees with, you know, 96 on it and you know, reasonable dial and stuff on it. Jackets and stuff.
Yeah, you can get like. I think we were talking about this off mike. Like vinyls. Yeah, all the vinyls.
[00:32:30] Speaker B: That was dope. But that's 1500. I can't see how long has it. How long do you have to hold it for the value to go up on that?
[00:32:39] Speaker A: I mean, you never know he's gonna
[00:32:41] Speaker B: come out with another album.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: So what?
[00:32:44] Speaker B: Certain things like that I don't like. I don't like getting box sets when, you know there's still more to come.
It's always incomplete. You assume he coming out with another
[00:32:57] Speaker A: album, but I mean, even if he did.
Yeah.
[00:33:02] Speaker B: What was your favorite Jay Z album?
[00:33:05] Speaker A: It depends. I go from. I go between.
Oh, you gonna say the Black album, Reasonable Doubt. The Black Album, Blueprint444, American Gangster.
[00:33:19] Speaker B: I didn't say name all of them.
[00:33:21] Speaker A: I'm just saying all of them. That's only five.
[00:33:23] Speaker B: Give me one. Your favorite one.
[00:33:25] Speaker A: I don't have a favorite favorite. Like it just depends. I could go between all of those, I think.
[00:33:29] Speaker B: What's that one? The Life.
What's that one? That.
[00:33:33] Speaker A: What's on it?
Life and Times. S Dot com. Volume one.
[00:33:38] Speaker B: Volume one. That might be one of my Favorites.
And then probably one of those blueprints.
[00:33:44] Speaker A: One of those blueprints, yeah.
Yeah. See, that's the car. Yeah.
[00:33:48] Speaker B: They got a GS out there.
[00:33:51] Speaker A: Yep. They got merch and stuff. I might buy something.
That's the. Everything is kind of high.
[00:33:56] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. It's crazy how they.
[00:33:59] Speaker A: How he but his stuff.
[00:34:01] Speaker B: He's promoting himself, though, right?
[00:34:04] Speaker A: The label, Roc Nation.
[00:34:05] Speaker B: Yeah. So I guess that's a good way to spend your promotion money to boost the sales up on those albums and then get you ready for the next album.
[00:34:14] Speaker A: But, like, who's actually buying albums now, though?
[00:34:17] Speaker B: Oh, everybody.
My daughter came home with at least five of them the other day.
[00:34:22] Speaker A: Five albums?
[00:34:23] Speaker B: Yeah. She's still buying a lot of people.
[00:34:24] Speaker A: She buying, like, records or, like, CDs. Oh, she's buying. Okay.
[00:34:29] Speaker B: Nobody buying CDs no more.
[00:34:30] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the thing now. Vinyl. Yeah. I don't know why. Like, I ain't got a record player. Is that the car?
[00:34:38] Speaker B: I think that's the car. Because it's not in pristine shape.
[00:34:42] Speaker A: Not on the inside.
[00:34:43] Speaker B: That should look like regular people's car inside. Yeah, shout out to the BBS boys.
[00:34:49] Speaker A: Yeah, shout out to them.
[00:34:50] Speaker B: DJ Thuro. Shout out to E3.
[00:34:53] Speaker A: Damn. They go Drew Ski right there.
[00:34:56] Speaker B: Shout out to Big Red.
[00:34:58] Speaker A: This is the New York down south thing. Like, New South. We would never get nothing like this down south for a Jay Z. It might be for, like, a TI or something.
[00:35:08] Speaker B: No, y' all do it for them. Outcast.
[00:35:11] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Probably outcast. Somebody like that. But not for Jay Z.
But like. Like, if I lived in New York, I probably would have went to the library for the booker Hov thing they did.
[00:35:22] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:35:23] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? Something like this. I definitely would probably go to something like this, too.
[00:35:27] Speaker B: I forgot about that. That was big.
[00:35:28] Speaker A: That was big. Yep. But look at it. They got all the jerseys.
[00:35:31] Speaker B: They got the jerseys up.
[00:35:32] Speaker A: Yep. Them jerseys, like 400. I might. You know what I'm saying?
[00:35:35] Speaker B: You gonna do one?
[00:35:36] Speaker A: I might do one, man.
[00:35:38] Speaker B: But you know what? You wearing it here, you're not gonna get the same feel.
[00:35:43] Speaker A: What do you mean?
[00:35:44] Speaker B: Like your man said. Your man said you can't wear nothing and say New York on it.
[00:35:48] Speaker A: Nah, that's him. That's him. That's his topic.
He don't wear New York stuff.
I got several New York hats, you know what I'm saying? Oh, they got some Reasonable Doubt Air Force ones. Couple of them with the Rockefeller logo and them jackets. A thousand.
[00:36:06] Speaker B: A thousand.
[00:36:06] Speaker A: Yeah, it Is.
[00:36:07] Speaker B: That's not bad. A thousand. That's not bad.
[00:36:09] Speaker A: But I mean for limited edition stuff.
[00:36:11] Speaker B: No, if you looking at like leather wise, like, if you going to buy yourself a pelly.
[00:36:16] Speaker A: That ain't a pelly. That ain't a whole leather though. That's a half leather. Even the half leather jones that they got, they like $500.
[00:36:22] Speaker B: What's that, like a team jacket? Like?
[00:36:24] Speaker A: Nah, it's just a, what they call those jackets? Leatherman jackets. Yeah, that's a letterman jacket. Yeah.
[00:36:30] Speaker B: Oh, I could. Okay.
[00:36:31] Speaker A: Yeah. It ain't a whole nother.
[00:36:32] Speaker B: It's not a thousand.
[00:36:33] Speaker A: Yeah, you might can get like on the cheap end, you can get one for like the hundreds. But like even like, I don't know if you ever seen that Steelers jacket I wear, that was like two something.
[00:36:43] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:36:44] Speaker A: And it's a letterman style jacket or whatever.
That was like two something, close to three. So the half something like that, of course it's gonna be like 500,000.
[00:36:53] Speaker B: Yeah. If you got one of these, I can only see you wearing it out of town.
[00:36:57] Speaker A: I would wear it right here.
[00:36:58] Speaker B: Going to Charlotte or something. They're not gonna have that same feel for.
[00:37:02] Speaker A: I don't do it for them. I do it for them.
[00:37:03] Speaker B: No, I'm just saying like, when they see, when people see it, they're not
[00:37:06] Speaker A: gonna like, like, oh, it's people around. Do you think in your mind I'm the only around here who listen to Jay Z? Yeah, no, no,
[00:37:16] Speaker B: I'm messing with you.
[00:37:18] Speaker A: Yeah. Now it might be only, you know, some people that just know what it is or whatever.
[00:37:23] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:37:24] Speaker A: But I, you know, I do it for like the two people that I might see that be like, oh, he got that on.
[00:37:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Shout out to Music Jones podcast Jones, definitely. And you might want to take it off your back.
[00:37:36] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. They got the hoodies and stuff, you know what I'm saying? I saw on the website they got like a set of pins. You know, I do the pins on my hat, so I might get a set of pins. And the pins ain't really that much. They got a set of patches. They got a set of patches for a few albums. So they got like a 4, 4, 4 set. A blueprint, 3 set blueprint set. Like they got a different, you know what I'm saying, Patches. So.
[00:38:00] Speaker B: So when we get off the air, you need to.
Yeah, when we get off, go ahead and hit your boy up. See what was in that package? It might be a pin in there.
[00:38:10] Speaker A: Oh, he done gave me A pen set.
[00:38:12] Speaker B: Before I know, it might be a pin in there.
[00:38:13] Speaker A: If it's a pen set, he give me that. All he gonna do is wear the clothes.
[00:38:17] Speaker B: Yeah. See if it's. It might be a pin set. Yeah.
[00:38:20] Speaker A: Yeah, he did. It might be some new Rock nation, some of this shit.
[00:38:24] Speaker B: That's what I'm saying.
[00:38:24] Speaker A: It might be.
[00:38:25] Speaker B: Some of this shit came at the right time. Cl.
[00:38:27] Speaker A: Yeah. Cause it's cl. Them boys lace you up. You know what I'm saying? Just holla at your boy. And if it's a hat, I give you bread for the hat. He only wear hats.
[00:38:36] Speaker B: Ooh, he did say that earlier.
[00:38:38] Speaker A: Yeah. He don't wear hats.
Yeah, but he gave before we went to Pittsburgh. He gave me. He been linked in with them for a minute, too, so. Yeah, this all I like museum stuff. They got luxurious in it.
[00:38:49] Speaker B: Supposed to mean that ain't the real thing, though.
[00:38:51] Speaker A: No, it ain't.
[00:38:52] Speaker B: Official joint right there.
[00:38:54] Speaker A: Yeah. That thing been thrown away. It just represent him.
[00:38:58] Speaker B: It was probably in the garbage while he was out there. And they just pulled it out of the garbage and did the shoot in it.
[00:39:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
Oh, talking about the shoot where he was sitting on the.
[00:39:06] Speaker B: On that beach chair.
[00:39:07] Speaker A: On the beach chair. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the set right there.
[00:39:11] Speaker B: That's the set right there.
[00:39:11] Speaker A: Ooh. Yep. Y', all, if you listening, we. Sorry, we watching this walk through of this museum.
[00:39:18] Speaker B: Yeah, let's get on.
[00:39:19] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Shout out to y'. All. I mean, if you don't want to listen and you wanna watch and see what we watching, go to YouTube.
[00:39:25] Speaker B: Go to YouTube.
[00:39:26] Speaker A: See, that's the.
That's some of the.
I know that's a sticker set, but they got a pin set too. That look just like that.
[00:39:32] Speaker B: Oh, word.
[00:39:33] Speaker A: The keychains and all of that. Yeah, they got a whole bunch of commemorative stuff.
[00:39:37] Speaker B: So they should have did a.
They should have did an ipod.
[00:39:42] Speaker A: A ipod?
[00:39:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:39:44] Speaker A: Why ipod?
[00:39:45] Speaker B: Cause, you know, back in the day, they used to do, like, exclusives, you know, ipods and have just the Jay Z shit on the ipod.
[00:39:53] Speaker A: Yeah, but when in 90, they might could have did one with 2000, one with. With Blueprint, but with Reasonable Doubt, it wasn't. No.
What? No ipods out then?
[00:40:04] Speaker B: No, just like the. The album, The. The vinyl set. Yeah, it was like all the vinyl. It was all his records.
[00:40:11] Speaker A: Yeah, but. But I mean.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he getting a library card, too. They were talking about that on the news, too.
[00:40:22] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:40:22] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:40:23] Speaker B: Hovinday. And he ain't even dead.
[00:40:25] Speaker A: Yep. That's why when people be like, Jay Z never was as big as y', all, saying that's a lie.
[00:40:35] Speaker B: Uh, oh, here we go now.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: I was watching a video.
[00:40:38] Speaker B: Every time we talk about boxing, niggas want to bring out Rocky Masiano.
[00:40:42] Speaker A: He kicked Joe Louis ass.
Kev on stage. Not Kev on stage. Tony Baker.
You know Tony Baker?
[00:40:51] Speaker B: Yep, yep.
[00:40:52] Speaker A: So Tony Baker, he had put up. He was talking about, like, Jay Z sales. He had did a video or whatever. I like all of Jay Z sales over the years and just, like, how consistent his numbers was.
And, like, he started out, like, low, but then in the middle, he stayed around. Like, every album released in the first year is like 400,000 the first week sales, like, all the time. A couple times he had like, five couple times, he had six or whatever. But he was like, just to be that consistent over, like, 14, 15 albums or whatever. You know what I'm saying?
Which just.
I just be wanting people to shut up, man.
[00:41:31] Speaker B: So you think he was the best ever?
[00:41:32] Speaker A: He my favorite ever. But to be. There's no way to quantify or say who is really the best ever.
Because you. If you go by numbers, you can say numbers, and then somebody can say, well, this is why the numbers, like, I don't think nobody sold more than Eminem.
[00:41:50] Speaker B: So I think he might be the best in the amount of records he had.
So, like Eminem. No, say. Say jay Z got 10 albums for
[00:42:03] Speaker A: everybody that put out.
[00:42:04] Speaker B: Everybody's 10 albums up against his.
[00:42:06] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, Yeah.
[00:42:07] Speaker B: I think you still win.
[00:42:08] Speaker A: That's why. That's kind of like what Tony Baker was saying. Like, to be that consistent, sell that much over those. You know what I'm saying?
Then.
You know what I'm saying? That just lend to his greatness. But you can't say, kind of like you were saying, what's your favorite album? Yeah, I can say I like all those albums, but it might be somebody who say, all those albums are trash.
That's just their taste in music or whatever. So you can't say, whatever, whatever. That's why it's kind of hard to say who was the best ever. My personal favorite ever is this person. You know what I'm saying? Because you can say your personal favorite is this person because of this right here. And then somebody can say, well, I like this other person based on what you saying right here.
[00:42:52] Speaker B: I got you.
[00:42:53] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? So if somebody say, I got somebody who say Gucci Mane is their favorite rapper ever, hey, that's your thing. I ain't gonna argue you. Oh, you love Gucci mane. You know what I'm saying?
[00:43:03] Speaker B: That's your thing.
[00:43:04] Speaker A: Somebody like this person or that person, the most, like, I think Charlamagne was like, Ghostface is his favorite rapper ever of all time or whatever.
[00:43:15] Speaker B: That's a. That's a good one, though, because a lot of people think like that.
[00:43:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Wally June hate Ghostface.
[00:43:20] Speaker B: He does.
[00:43:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:43:21] Speaker B: I should have thought about it. I should have.
[00:43:24] Speaker A: Oh, if you'd had his number, called that.
[00:43:25] Speaker B: Hey, I wish I had his number out of FaceTime.
Who.
[00:43:29] Speaker A: I know that. That got that.
[00:43:31] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[00:43:32] Speaker A: Got that eagle on his arm.
[00:43:34] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh.
[00:43:36] Speaker A: You'd had to take. You'd had to let them meet and fight him while you got Wally on the phone with that.
[00:43:40] Speaker B: I had to screenshot the screen, record that, man.
[00:43:44] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:43:45] Speaker B: I don't know. I gotta be quick on my feet on that one.
[00:43:48] Speaker A: Yeah, but it'd be so much going on. So much going on, man, in the moment. Then when you leave, you like, man, I should have called this person or that person.
[00:43:55] Speaker B: Well, I tried to call somebody.
[00:43:56] Speaker A: Yeah. Shout out to him.
I still got something for him, too.
[00:44:00] Speaker B: For who?
[00:44:01] Speaker A: Who you had called who didn't answer the phone.
[00:44:03] Speaker B: You got something for him?
[00:44:04] Speaker A: Yeah, I got something for him.
[00:44:05] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:44:06] Speaker A: I'll tell you off mic. It ain't nothing bad, though.
[00:44:08] Speaker B: All right.
[00:44:09] Speaker A: Ain't nothing bad. Yeah, ain't that bad.
[00:44:11] Speaker B: Word.
[00:44:13] Speaker A: But yeah, man, that's all. You know what I'm saying? I'm going. Try to. Try to indulge in that. I was listening to the album on the way to the studio.
[00:44:19] Speaker B: Which one?
[00:44:20] Speaker A: Oh, the Reasonable Doubt.
[00:44:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I listened to it recently also.
There's a couple songs I skipped through. Can I kick it?
[00:44:28] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I skipped that.
[00:44:30] Speaker B: There's a handful of songs I skip.
[00:44:32] Speaker A: It's only like two or three that I really skip on that album. Like, I'll. I'm. When I say skip on an album like that, like, I won't let it. Like, if it get on, I'd be like, oh, I'm scared of that. But sometimes I'll let it play.
[00:44:42] Speaker B: So is it. Can I kick it the two. Two.
22 twos. Is that the name of the.
[00:44:50] Speaker A: Yeah, it's 22 twos.
[00:44:52] Speaker B: I just realized what that was about.
[00:44:54] Speaker A: What do you mean?
[00:44:55] Speaker B: Like, the name of the song is 22 twos?
[00:44:58] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:59] Speaker B: And in the song, he's saying too many.
[00:45:02] Speaker A: He's saying two 22 times two, 22 times he did another song. I think he did 44 fours.
[00:45:08] Speaker B: Oh, shoot.
[00:45:09] Speaker A: A little late. It was like a freestyle too, though.
[00:45:11] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:45:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:45:13] Speaker B: Word.
[00:45:13] Speaker A: Yeah.
But yeah, I'm sure Jones will talk about that. Heavy in his show, but. Yeah, man, we got a little short show today. We had some business to attend to.
But before we get out of here, I got a couple scams, but I got one that popped up today that I was gonna talk about.
[00:45:37] Speaker B: Oh, it's scam time, huh?
[00:45:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:45:39] Speaker B: Hey, man, let the whole thing play, man.
[00:45:41] Speaker A: You want to let the whole thing play? The end of it. Get.
I know why you want to sit.
[00:45:46] Speaker B: Hey, the first time I see that was like, last week. I ain't even know it.
[00:45:49] Speaker A: Yeah, I always skip off of that on that part. I did fraud today. Hey. I did fraud today.
[00:45:54] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:45:55] Speaker A: I did fraud today. Hey.
[00:45:57] Speaker B: I did fraud today, okay.
[00:45:59] Speaker A: I did fraud today.
[00:46:00] Speaker B: Hey.
[00:46:00] Speaker A: Did a good job today.
[00:46:02] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:46:02] Speaker A: I did fraud today. I did fraud today.
[00:46:05] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:46:07] Speaker A: Come from.
[00:46:24] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay.

[00:46:35] Speaker A: No.
[00:46:35] Speaker B: Calamar. Calamar White.
[00:46:37] Speaker A: That's his real name. Yeah. You did business with him yet?
[00:46:40] Speaker B: Not yet. It's coming.

[00:47:44] Speaker B: Yeah. I'd be like, why they said that.
[00:47:47] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.

[00:49:06] Speaker A: Nah, that ain't a guy.
[00:49:07] Speaker B: It is. Man. Look at the hair.
[00:49:08] Speaker A: That's a woman.
That's not hair on her chin. That's a shadow.

[00:49:29] Speaker A: Oh, they got her right out of bed. That crazy one or the other.
