[00:01:32] Speaker A: Shout out to him.
[00:01:34] Speaker B: Happy birthday.
Happy birthday.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: Yes, yes, Lord.
[00:01:40] Speaker B: Oh my gosh. Happy birthday.
[00:01:42] Speaker A: You ready for the end, Precious baby,
[00:01:45] Speaker B: you ready for the end.
[00:01:46] Speaker A: Please.
Shout out to L. Thank you, man.
[00:01:55] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:01:56] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, yeah. So what'd you do for the. For the birthday?
[00:01:59] Speaker B: I ain't do too much. I went out to eat my regular rios.
[00:02:03] Speaker A: Oh, you went to Rio's?
[00:02:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:04] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: That's like a regular to me.
[00:02:06] Speaker A: So you love it?
[00:02:07] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:02:09] Speaker B: Cocktail shrimp. I get a whole plate of those and then all the other stuff that they bring to the table.
[00:02:14] Speaker A: So you leave the car green?
[00:02:16] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:02:16] Speaker A: Keep em coming.
[00:02:17] Speaker B: It never even. Never flips over. I didn't even know they had two sides.
[00:02:21] Speaker A: I went one time, it was my brother, my brother, my stepbrother, his wife. It was their wedding anniversary. It was like their 25th.
So we went down there, but I got there late. So with me getting there late, I guess the meats wasn't meaty meat like they were supposed to.
[00:02:39] Speaker B: They wasn't coming out like that.
[00:02:40] Speaker A: No, they were coming out, but they weren't seasoned like I want. You know what I'm saying? Oh, okay.
[00:02:45] Speaker B: They do have off days.
[00:02:46] Speaker A: Yeah. So I had. The best thing that I had was the grilled pineapple.
[00:02:50] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[00:02:51] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, go back. I'm gonna have to give it another shot.
[00:02:53] Speaker B: But it's not for everybody though.
I will say that if you want
[00:02:57] Speaker A: a low carb diet, it's for you.
[00:02:59] Speaker B: It's for you.
[00:03:00] Speaker A: Cause you eat all the meat you want. And then they got salads and stuff over there. You gotta get up and get that.
[00:03:05] Speaker B: If you a country, if you just like country food and stuff like that. It ain't for you.
Cause there's some people I know that went, oh, no, I don't like steak. Like I don't eat it.
[00:03:16] Speaker A: Well, they had like, they bring out like lamb. Oh, man, they all kinds of meat.
[00:03:21] Speaker B: Lamb, chicken, three different kinds of steaks.
[00:03:25] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's dope, it's dope.
[00:03:28] Speaker B: I wanted to go today. Oh, really, I did.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: You still got time.
We gonna be outta here early. You dressed for it, got the button up.
[00:03:35] Speaker B: I mean, it's just shirt, so got the button up.
[00:03:38] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? You could, you know.
[00:03:40] Speaker B: Nah, I thought about it, but you know, it's back to work tomorrow.
[00:03:43] Speaker A: So what?
[00:03:44] Speaker B: Back to work. I'm dreading it.
[00:03:46] Speaker A: So you back to work. But is school start?
[00:03:48] Speaker B: Nah, school start Wednesday, man, you go,
[00:03:52] Speaker A: you leave here, we get done, pick up the wife, head on down there, you be down there by three, eat good, come on back, be home ready to rub your feet together. 7:30.
[00:04:07] Speaker B: Nah, I like to be off the next day after.
[00:04:11] Speaker A: Oh, oh, oh. Cause you got a lot of, ah, I feel you.
[00:04:14] Speaker B: I just wanna chill out.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: Sometimes the meats do a lot of rumbling in the stomach.
[00:04:17] Speaker B: Nah, nah, I just, I like when I get back late, you know, you get back late and you ain't gotta worry about getting up in the morning.
My mind is focused.
[00:04:25] Speaker A: Like you think you gonna get back late?
[00:04:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I get back at probably around seven.
[00:04:30] Speaker A: That ain't too late. Seven, eight o', clock, it's gonna still be light out.
[00:04:33] Speaker B: For a person that be in the bed at. Damn, 9, 9:30.
[00:04:36] Speaker A: It still be light out at 9.
[00:04:37] Speaker B: Man, I'm telling you, when I'm working, I'm focused.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: You don't work the kind of job the way you need to go to bed that early.
[00:04:45] Speaker B: I do. Cause I gotta be there.
I get there like 7, 6:30, 7.
[00:04:51] Speaker A: Let me reiterate. Like pimp named Slick Basin. You don't work the kind of job
[00:04:56] Speaker B: I'm standing, I'm telling you.
[00:04:57] Speaker A: Cause I used to work jobs where I would have to be at work at like 3, 4 in the morning.
So sometimes it'd be like middle of the summer, it's eight thirty, you in the bed, 8 o'.
[00:05:06] Speaker B: Clock.
[00:05:07] Speaker A: You in the bed if you want to get some good rest. Yeah. So yeah, seven o'.
[00:05:10] Speaker B: Clock.
[00:05:11] Speaker A: I used to stay up till two in the morning when I had to get to work at 7:00'. Clock.
[00:05:14] Speaker B: Oh, hell no. I like that.
It's that getting up, that's the only thing, I don't want to get up because at 6, say around 5:30, 6 o', clock, that's my real good sleep, no matter what.
[00:05:28] Speaker A: Really?
[00:05:29] Speaker B: Yeah. So that's when I don't even turn over and look at the clock.
[00:05:34] Speaker A: Oh, you wake up on your own is what you're saying? Yeah, I gotcha.
[00:05:38] Speaker B: So that's the time I don't wake up.
[00:05:39] Speaker A: So. So other than going to Rios, what you do?
[00:05:42] Speaker B: I ain't do much. That was it.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: That's it.
[00:05:44] Speaker B: That was it.
[00:05:44] Speaker A: I thought you was going out of town one of them days.
I thought you said he was going out of town, and then you was like, I'll be back Thursday. Whatever, whatever.
[00:05:51] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I went to Charlotte.
[00:05:52] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:05:53] Speaker B: Yeah, I went to Charlotte.
[00:05:54] Speaker A: Is it a story there? You just. Ah, let me grab my guns.
[00:06:00] Speaker B: I'll tell you this.
All right? So I went with. I went to meet up with a friend of mine.
[00:06:04] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: Greg Nice from nice and smooth.
[00:06:07] Speaker A: Shout out to Jones right now. Jones. Cause Jones has some choice words for you.
[00:06:11] Speaker B: He did, yeah, yeah.
[00:06:12] Speaker A: He said, yeah.
Matter of fact, he came to the crib Friday. He was like, yeah, me and L, we gonna fight.
This nigga don't call nobody. I was like, yeah, he called the wrong people. Like, he called.
[00:06:22] Speaker B: I don't call nobody.
[00:06:23] Speaker A: You called Shock when it was Ghostface is Shocking Hughes. Ghostface fan? Yeah. Oh, he is, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Shout out to shop.
[00:06:29] Speaker B: Yeah, I didn't call nobody. Well, because first I wasn't gonna go.
Then I was like.
I was like, I might go. Then Keith was gonna go with me, but his grandmother got.
[00:06:39] Speaker A: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Keith who?
[00:06:43] Speaker B: Keith Murray.
[00:06:44] Speaker A: Exactly. He didn't say Keith. Like it's Keith down the street or something.
[00:06:47] Speaker B: It feels funny saying his full name all the time.
[00:06:50] Speaker A: This is his stage name.
[00:06:51] Speaker B: Yeah, but I know him more than the stage person.
[00:06:54] Speaker A: Yeah, but I'm saying. But when you talking to the regular person who don't know 57 celebrities, well,
[00:07:01] Speaker B: he end up not going, okay? So I'm talking to my sister on the phone, and she's like, yeah, you always coming through here and. Cause my sister live in Charlotte, okay? You always coming through here and going to see this person and that person. You call me when you with Amity Hamilton. You call me when you with this person. I want to go, too. I said, all right, well, get dressed.
[00:07:20] Speaker A: So you got your sister.
[00:07:21] Speaker B: I picked my sister.
[00:07:22] Speaker A: Shout out to the Family Affair.
[00:07:23] Speaker B: So I picked up.
[00:07:24] Speaker A: Yeah, was. Was the going out and everything? Was it nice and smooth?
[00:07:34] Speaker B: It's sick.
[00:07:36] Speaker A: Shout out to Greg. Nice.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: But we were talking about something.
[00:07:39] Speaker A: You say parquet, I say, but come on, man.
[00:07:41] Speaker B: You don't know.
[00:07:43] Speaker A: Come on, man. It's me right there.
[00:07:44] Speaker B: That's that hip hop bebop.
[00:07:46] Speaker A: Come on. What do you think? I don't know. Who said I don't like it. I just like when. When you slide on a. That's all I'm saying.
That's all I'm saying. I like that. I'm gonn.
Well, we go ahead and continue with this. And I'm gonna tell you something else. I like that. Really. Really got me excited that I watched. But go ahead. You know what I'm saying?
[00:08:02] Speaker B: Okay. Okay.
So me and him, we're sitting talking. We're talking about.
We talk. All right. So Nas is part of some kind of foundation where we was talking about, you know, it should be a pension for rappers or entertainers.
So he was saying that there's a big wig guy that's, you know, back in Nas with all this money and stuff like that. He said every couple years, they'll pick three artists and send them 300,000. Really? It's never. He said it's never talked about anything talked about. He said it's. He said the first ones was like,
[00:08:43] Speaker A: Bambada or some shit.
[00:08:44] Speaker B: Nah, it was hell no.
[00:08:47] Speaker A: Him fuck with Bambada? No, no, Nobody don't fuck with Bambada no more.
[00:08:51] Speaker B: It's over.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, that's fair. That's the right thing to do. Well, that's the right thing to not do.
[00:08:56] Speaker B: Yeah. But anyway, it was like Rakim and I forgot the other two other ones.
[00:09:00] Speaker A: Maybe like, Big Daddy Kane or something.
[00:09:02] Speaker B: Nah, I don't think Big Daddy Kane. He said the names, and we was talking about it for a minute, but
[00:09:07] Speaker A: shout out to Greg Nice. Yeah, he. Greg Nice is a legend.
[00:09:10] Speaker B: Yes, he is.
[00:09:11] Speaker A: He's a legend.
[00:09:12] Speaker B: He is.
[00:09:12] Speaker A: But he's a legend. One of the legends that I like because he's our legend. I don't feel like white people will
[00:09:21] Speaker B: know who he is.
[00:09:21] Speaker A: Not necessarily. Well, not know who he is, but respect the legendary status that he has.
[00:09:29] Speaker B: You might be right.
[00:09:29] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? We got our own.
Like, if a person is a legend to a white person, nine times out of 10, they legends to all the other cultures.
[00:09:37] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:09:38] Speaker A: But a lot of our legendary stuff, you might be right, isn't legendary to other cultures. It's legendary to us. And we made it big. Like, say, like the movie Friday.
That's everybody no, Friday was us at first.
[00:09:51] Speaker B: At first.
[00:09:51] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then like recently, like phrases from Friday have crossed over, like, bye, Felicia.
[00:09:57] Speaker B: Bye Felicia is like the biggest.
[00:09:59] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying?
[00:10:00] Speaker B: Social media admitted like that.
[00:10:01] Speaker A: Quick question, go ahead. What is the male version of. By Felicia for 100 points, the male version.
[00:10:12] Speaker B: Is it Tyrone?
[00:10:13] Speaker A: Nope.
[00:10:14] Speaker B: I ain't got it.
[00:10:15] Speaker A: Ice Cube was in this movie too.
[00:10:17] Speaker B: Which movie?
[00:10:19] Speaker A: Players Club.
[00:10:21] Speaker B: By Craig.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: Nope, By Lance.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: Ooh, the little cousin said it.
[00:10:29] Speaker A: Nah, the little son. The son said it to Diamond's boyfriend. Oh, yeah. And he was like, if you gonna keep stripping, I'm gonna leave. And then he left. And then when he was leaving out the son. By Lance.
[00:10:43] Speaker B: By Lance.
[00:10:44] Speaker A: Yeah. So that's the male version. But anyway, use that.
I've heard people say that.
[00:10:49] Speaker B: Oh, word.
[00:10:50] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Shout out to my homeboy, Tony Mills. Anyway, so you met up with Greg. Nice. Y' all talked about them giving $300,000.
[00:10:56] Speaker B: We just was talking and that just came up.
[00:10:58] Speaker A: But that is something that they really have done and they continue to do
[00:11:02] Speaker B: on the low, which is crazy.
I mean, 300,000 is not a lot, but at the same time, was anything.
[00:11:09] Speaker A: It's something divide 50,000 to 300,000 to see how much that is.
[00:11:13] Speaker B: No, but think about it. Like, 300,000 is cool, but for one time thing is not a lot.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: If you good with your money.
[00:11:22] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:11:23] Speaker A: If you $50,000 can go.
That's six years of salary for some people.
So if you can't make that work.
[00:11:32] Speaker B: It came up because, you know, I said, are you tired, man, from all this? Cause he got like. He got like six shows just this week. Yeah, so he's from.
[00:11:42] Speaker A: He's here.
[00:11:43] Speaker B: He's in Jersey. He's Atlanta. He's. Yeah, there, there. So I asked him if he was tired. He was like, nah, I ain't tired.
[00:11:49] Speaker A: How old do you think he is? He is 54, something like that.
[00:11:53] Speaker B: 50.
About 56.
[00:11:56] Speaker A: The average 56 year old still working their ass off 40 hours a week.
I don't think he tired now.
[00:12:02] Speaker B: He say he wasn't tired. He's been doing it. He been in the business for 40 years now.
[00:12:06] Speaker A: He been in the business for a long time. That's a long time to be in the business. But I don't, I don't.
If somebody his age and they tired of traveling and all of that, you know what I'm saying? Go work at a plant and bust down in 45, 50 hours.
[00:12:20] Speaker B: And it ain't in them. It ain't in them. Yeah, they can't do that.
[00:12:23] Speaker A: They can't do that. You know what I'm saying? So I look at, like, people talk about, like, LeBron playing 20 years or whatever. Niggas work 40 years and 30 years. Like, cool. I mean, you doing. You using your body different. But, you know, I know niggas that work at the steel mill for 35 years. You know what I'm saying?
[00:12:39] Speaker B: But you know what? It came up because I was thinking about artists that don't get money like that no more.
[00:12:44] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:12:45] Speaker B: Like, you know Spanky from a good friend of ours.
Well, he was in the group Minavision.
R B group.
[00:12:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I know the group. I know Men of Vision.
[00:12:59] Speaker B: So he's in that. He was in that.
[00:13:01] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:13:01] Speaker B: And a good friend of ours, you know, some. You know, some people that know him around here.
[00:13:08] Speaker A: Oh, they know Spanky.
[00:13:09] Speaker B: He lived with DEZ for a minute.
[00:13:11] Speaker A: Oh, really?
[00:13:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:12] Speaker A: Shout out to dez.
[00:13:13] Speaker B: So, you know, he's in. He's in. He's.
[00:13:16] Speaker A: Is he in the church now?
[00:13:17] Speaker B: Yeah, he was in gospel quartet.
But right now he, you know, he wasn't making that much money at one time because, you know, you know, gospel bills, you know, wasn't the same as regular R B bills. I mean, R B.
[00:13:32] Speaker A: And then Men of Vision was like a.
They go back to the thing with Greg. Nice.
Men of Vision was like black famous.
[00:13:44] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: At a time they weren't like.
[00:13:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:47] Speaker A: And crossover famous.
[00:13:48] Speaker B: And it was. It was. They was. They was. Okay. Like, there was a known group.
[00:13:51] Speaker A: Yeah, it was known. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:13:53] Speaker B: But you got to think about if you don't have nothing big from, say, the 90s to now, it's like, it's hard to get it. It's hard to, you know, getting a job. So they did a tribute to him. And when I say big artists, Teddy Riley sent the video, you know, shouting them out, talking about him because he's Spanky. Yeah. Because he was signed to the Michael Jackson label.
[00:14:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:14:13] Speaker B: And just all sorts of people think
[00:14:15] Speaker A: about he was signed to Michael Jackson label. So Michael Jackson. Know who he is? Oh, yeah, I knew who he was.
[00:14:20] Speaker B: Yeah.
There was other videos with the people that did the choreograph for the guy that did the choreograph. New edition. What's that guy's name?
[00:14:31] Speaker A: I didn't watch the movie.
[00:14:32] Speaker B: You didn't watch the movie? Well, a lot of people know who he is. He did a choreograph for the tribute to him, and it just got me thinking. Cause, you know, Right now he's not at a good space. He's in a nursing home now.
[00:14:49] Speaker A: Oh, wow.
[00:14:50] Speaker B: So that's what got us into talking about artists that were big at one time and you know, not big, not as big. You know, the bills keep on coming. Yeah. The family still gotta get, you know, you got kids and all that. So that's why I say there should be a pension for, I mean artists,
[00:15:10] Speaker A: I guess, but somebody gotta pay into it.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: Yeah, that's why I think everybody should have to pay into it if they really gonna have a pension thing. They should have a union, a certain kind of union.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: But I, I. Cause Nori been talking about that since he started the show or whatever. But there's nothing stopping a person from paying into their own pension or saving fund or whatever. Cause that's really all a pension basically is, is they taking your money and investing in. Well, that's a 401k. They take your money and invest it or whatever.
[00:15:42] Speaker B: So now if you're a union, they forcibly like, you gotta pay those union dues. You gotta, you know.
[00:15:48] Speaker A: Yeah, but union dudes don't give you a pension. Union dues just help keep your.
[00:15:55] Speaker B: No, I'm saying if the union was the ones that start that pension.
[00:15:59] Speaker A: Oh, to start it. Oh, okay. I got you, I got you. I got you.
Yeah, but how many of these people, I guess it would work on like the top level.
[00:16:08] Speaker B: It would be hard right now because it's been so many years that this hasn't been going on. So now you're gonna be like, man, I ain't paying to that. I want all my money.
[00:16:15] Speaker A: But I mean like somebody like that would be like, you know, back in the day. Well, I say back in the day, but that, you know, over 10 years ago, maybe. SoundCloud rapper what would stop them from putting. Nothing would stop them from putting out music. But they wouldn't be signed to a label so they probably wouldn't be paying it to the pension or paying it to the union. And what's the stop?
Like how would not being in a union affect the different artists? You know what I'm saying?
[00:16:41] Speaker B: Like, yeah, that's what you say.
[00:16:42] Speaker A: If you're not in this union, then you don't get played on the radio or if you're not in this union, you don't get. You know what I'm saying?
[00:16:48] Speaker B: Yeah. You know it's always gonna be some kind of ups and downs.
[00:16:50] Speaker A: Yes, yeah, yeah.
[00:16:51] Speaker B: Cause like you can't do shows in this area if you're not paid to the show.
[00:16:54] Speaker A: Oh, this venue or whatever. Yeah, Kind of like, like the movie industry really got it locked down because you can't work on a big time movie, a TV show without being in the union. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. Unless you like a day extra or something like that.
[00:17:09] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right. Yeah.
[00:17:10] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? You can't really, you know, and it won't go on your IMDb and all of that. You got to pay them dudes or whatever.
[00:17:16] Speaker B: So if you in the movie, if
[00:17:17] Speaker A: you got lines, you got to be in the union.
[00:17:19] Speaker B: You got to be in the union. Yeah, like to get your name up there, you got, if you had lines, that's how you get your name on it.
[00:17:25] Speaker A: Yeah, but in order to get lines, you got to be in the union.
[00:17:28] Speaker B: See, I'm not in the union. I got, I got credit for a movie.
[00:17:33] Speaker A: Was it a union specific, like a union whatever movie?
[00:17:37] Speaker B: Nah, well, nah, I wasn't in union. So the movie, I don't think, because I'm on IMDb. Oh, for that one movie.
[00:17:46] Speaker A: I know it was some, some. I think it was around Covet when like all the movie stuff shut down and it was one like producer, whatever, he went against the whole thing and like shot a movie and they were saying like, well this gonna go against whatever, whatever and they might be kicked out the union or whatever. Like I don't know how, I don't
[00:18:08] Speaker B: know how that part works.
[00:18:09] Speaker A: So the movie you was in, talking about the movie, we was in jail. Yeah, but I got cut.
[00:18:14] Speaker B: Matter of fact, I had one, one scene that you see me, but my words, my dialogue was cut. Oh, I didn't make the cut.
[00:18:26] Speaker A: I wonder if that mattered then.
But you know, I think in order to work on the set, you gotta be in the union for like certain stuff.
[00:18:37] Speaker B: Nah. Because I do know if you got like, you can be an extra or on the scene. Like one of the guys that was on the movie with me, guy named Big Boosie.
[00:18:49] Speaker A: Not Lil Boosie?
[00:18:50] Speaker B: Nah, Nick Boosie. He's a drug dealer from Harlem.
Well, he was, he was in that paid in full era. He was in the movie paid in full and he didn't have, he couldn't speak because of that.
[00:19:04] Speaker A: Oh, because he wasn't in the union.
[00:19:06] Speaker B: Yeah. You know the tall one you remember paying full the movie?
You know, I gotta ask you that.
[00:19:13] Speaker A: So every week this disrespect my cultural knowledge.
[00:19:16] Speaker B: Well, you know the tall one that he was like when he, when he snatched the Guy out of the car, he was like, yeah, now you got a chain now. And put the chain.
[00:19:24] Speaker A: Put a chain on him.
[00:19:25] Speaker B: Yeah, him.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: Oh, the one who we gave the chain. Now you shining now.
[00:19:28] Speaker B: So you notice they didn't say nothing, those two?
[00:19:31] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Oh, that's why they couldn't say nothing,
[00:19:33] Speaker B: because they're not in the union.
[00:19:34] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:19:36] Speaker B: That's when I learned that.
[00:19:37] Speaker A: Okay, okay.
[00:19:37] Speaker B: That's where I learned that. Okay, okay.
[00:19:39] Speaker A: Word.
So you got to chill with Greg. Nice.
[00:19:43] Speaker B: And, yeah, we chilled out for a
[00:19:45] Speaker A: little bit and that was it. Yeah. You didn't go to no good restaurants up in Charlotte?
[00:19:49] Speaker B: I went to some burger place.
[00:19:53] Speaker A: Oh. It wasn't hitting like that.
[00:19:54] Speaker B: It was good. It was good, but, I mean, it was just a burger place. It wasn't spectacular. Smoked a good cigar.
[00:20:01] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:20:01] Speaker B: Get yourself a butter stick.
[00:20:03] Speaker A: A butter stick?
[00:20:04] Speaker B: Butter stick Cigars.
[00:20:05] Speaker A: What? It tastes like butter.
[00:20:06] Speaker B: Yeah, man. It's kind of like they got different flavors, but it do got, like, a hint of butter in it.
[00:20:12] Speaker A: See, I. I like a sweet joint. Yeah. Pause. Yeah. Like, I had a Fat Betty.
[00:20:20] Speaker B: Fat Bottom Betty.
[00:20:21] Speaker A: That's what it called. Fat Bomb Betty.
[00:20:22] Speaker B: Fat Bottom Betty.
[00:20:23] Speaker A: Oh, Fat Bottom Betty.
[00:20:24] Speaker B: Yeah. So you really like it now?
[00:20:26] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
Little sweet. It was at my homeboy.
My homeboy Tron, he got married some years ago.
They had, like, a cigar not food truck. It was, like, in the trailer, but the trailer was, like, set up like a little lounge or whatever. Had chairs in there, cigars and our drinks in there, whatever. So we was outside smoking. They had the Fat Bomb Betty in there. Yeah, Yeah.
[00:20:48] Speaker B: A lot of times, like, for new people that's trying to smoke cigars, they tell them, they give them those.
[00:20:53] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:20:54] Speaker B: They got a taste to it that,
[00:20:55] Speaker A: you know, it ain't as robust.
[00:20:57] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Those are good, though. I like those.
[00:20:59] Speaker A: Shout out to fat boy.
[00:21:00] Speaker B: You might have liked this joint. You might have liked it.
[00:21:02] Speaker A: I had a butter john.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: Yeah. I had a toffee.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: I. I think I might like the toffee because it got a little, you know, a little caramel action.
[00:21:07] Speaker B: It tastes just like a caramel. Didn't have a hint of, like, butter in it.
[00:21:10] Speaker A: Like, okay, crazy shout out to you. A cigar. Fish hit. Okay. You just get into whatever it is. Once you get all the way in and you just go. Yeah, you go. Full regalia.
You probably got the cutter. You got the cutter that cut it in the V shape, ain't it? Of course. Yeah. The V cutter.
[00:21:27] Speaker B: It cuts three. It cuts the guillotine.
A poke or it does a V shape.
[00:21:34] Speaker A: Probably pay about $70 for that.
[00:21:36] Speaker B: Nah, it's low. $40 exactly, wasn't it?
[00:21:40] Speaker A: My scissors was $2 and I got them.
[00:21:42] Speaker B: You use scissors?
[00:21:43] Speaker A: No, I'm joking. I got a color. I got. I got a color. The guillotine color.
[00:21:46] Speaker B: The guillotine one.
[00:21:47] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:21:49] Speaker B: So that's all that was that. I did a little riding that was it France, huh? You said shout out to who?
[00:21:55] Speaker A: Shout out to France.
The guillotine. That what they did out there in the guillotine. Used to cut niggas heads off.
[00:22:01] Speaker B: Ah, that made me think about one of the movies I watched. But what you been up to, man,
[00:22:06] Speaker A: you know what I'm saying? I had to take off the week recording because I, you know, shout out my family reunion, you know what I'm saying? We do it pretty big for our family reunion, so.
[00:22:14] Speaker B: Roscoe's family reunion.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: Oh, no. Roscoe ain't got on us.
[00:22:17] Speaker B: You had a good one.
[00:22:18] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, it was nice. It was nice.
[00:22:19] Speaker B: A lot of people.
[00:22:20] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, it was, you know, it was more than they expected, but it was less than not we normally have. So I think it says like 245 or 235.
[00:22:31] Speaker B: Everybody had a shirt.
[00:22:32] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah. I got pictures. What? I might pull up a picture.
Let me see if it's on my iPad.
[00:22:38] Speaker B: You see any cousins around there? Like, yeah.
[00:22:40] Speaker A: Oh, no, we don't get down like that.
[00:22:42] Speaker B: Ain't a cousin.
[00:22:43] Speaker A: Cousin. Now we'll get down like that. There's so many. I'm telling you.
[00:22:47] Speaker B: Where was it? It was in the area.
[00:22:49] Speaker A: No, it was in Maryland. That's why. That's why I was like, lower numbers. It was in Maryland, but so I left a day early. Cause I wanted to go to.
I wanted to go to.
Whenever I go places, I always look at like some viral food stuff, you know what I'm saying? So I go to a place. So I randomly found out that in College Park, Maryland, it's a place called Little Blue Menu and it's a chick fil A. They got other stuff.
[00:23:22] Speaker B: You did tell me about that.
[00:23:24] Speaker A: So I went there. Well, first I went to the National American African American Museum in D.C. okay, so I went there, but I got there kind of late. And I heard people say before a few people was like, yeah, it's gonna take, like, it's an all day thing, really. If you really wanna see the whole museum, it's an all day thing. So I just wanted to go, you know what I'm saying? Just Experience a little bit of it. So I got there and the dude was there. Whatever. Black guy. Well, of course black guy. But he was like. I was like, yeah, you know, it's my. I'm trying to. You know. He was like, well, you got an hour and 45 minutes. Whatever. I was like, well, this is my first time. When I say it's my first time, that nigga eyes like, this is always your first time. It was like, well, this is what you need to do. You need to go ahead, just start at the top. You don't want to start at the bottom because there's a whole lot to take in. Just start at the top and just go through and then work your way down or whatever. So I went in and started at the top. And the top is like, where like, we, you know, we done overcome we. You know what I'm saying? They show the music and sports and entertainment and you want to go from the bottom and journalism. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Cause like, you say you need all the day. So I did that, worked my way down, whatever. Then I went to the gift shop. Yeah. They say the bottom part is like, it's starting, like.
I think it started in slavery or before slavery or whatever. But we go through that and they say that shit real heavy. They say it's so heavy. To where they got, like, places where you can like, decompress, pride, all kind of shit. Yeah. For real. Yeah. So I didn't do that. And then that's when I left. Went to the little blue.
Little blue menu. Chick fil A. Oh, man, that sounded dope, though. Yeah, it was.
[00:24:54] Speaker B: I've been to the. I've been to the African burial grounds. Where in Manhattan.
[00:24:58] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:24:59] Speaker B: Cause I worked in a building that, you know, did all the funding and stuff like that.
[00:25:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:25:03] Speaker B: And the building is on top of where Africans would buried and stuff like that.
[00:25:06] Speaker A: Oh, really?
[00:25:07] Speaker B: So I don't mean to cut you off, but in 2000.
Yeah, around 2000, they were still finding bodies, like when they in Manhattan, of slaves and stuff like that, with uniforms on.
[00:25:19] Speaker A: There is something they doing now. I want to say it's somewhere in Virginia where they talking about digging up and putting, like.
I don't know if it's a highway or some building on like where they buried slaves in like, Northern Virginia or something like that. But.
Yeah, but I went to that chick fil A and they got like pizza and burgers and.
[00:25:42] Speaker B: Is it good?
[00:25:43] Speaker A: Pizza, chicken wings? I didn't get the pizza.
I don't know. I wasn't really hungry. So I got.
Oh, one thing I do whenever I go through Virginia, I always stop at a Wawa.
If there's a Wawa, I'm gonna stop at a Wawa. Give me a sub. So I had to stop on the way up. Give me a Wawa. That's always in the plans. But then I just got chicken wings. So they had bone in wings and boneless wings. So I just got chicken. I was like, well, I can warm this up later when I get in my hotel.
So I went up to.
Left there, went to Baltimore, stayed in Baltimore for the night, and then went to the family reunion. And we. So it's. It looked like Ellicott City, but people in Maryland say Ellicott City. And that's where it was at this. At this golf resort.
[00:26:32] Speaker B: Oh, right.
[00:26:32] Speaker A: Whatever. Yeah. So it was there.
[00:26:33] Speaker B: Had all y' all colored folks on that field.
[00:26:35] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Well, we went on the course. Well, we was on the course. But, yeah, it was real nice.
You know, family come from all over, west coast, up north, all over. You know what I'm saying? It was real dope, you know? Yeah.
Saturday, we always have, like, a little cookout thing. And then we do, like a banquet at night.
So we did the cookout. I leave the cookout. I'm like, all right, I'm going to chill, you know, rest up for the. You know what I'm saying? For the banquet. Got my suit and everything ready, blah, blah, blah. I get in my room, play the game real quick. Cause the station going with me.
[00:27:11] Speaker B: God.
[00:27:11] Speaker A: So I play the game, put my phone on the charger laid down.
I wake up.
No, right before I lay down, I hear the rumbling. Cause I heard a storm was coming.
So the storm. Oh, storm coming. Whatever, whatever. But all our stuff on the inside. We got the whole resort, all the banquet halls and all that. We having all our stuff there. So I ain't worried about being outside for nothing. So I go to sleep, and I know the storm comes. So I wake up and I look at my phone, and my phone's still on 20%. I'm like, yo, my charger broke.
So I take. I had a charging pad. So I take it out the charging pad and I put it in my phone. I'm like, damn, my charger ain't working. What going on, dog? So I'm looking around the room, and it's still daytime. So I still got light in my room. And it's not really cold. I mean, it's not really hot in my room. I look at the clock.
And the clock is out. I'm like, oh, the power hour is out.
It's 4 o'. Clock. The power must have went out like 2:30.
And they stayed out until like 11 at night.
[00:28:12] Speaker B: Oh wow.
[00:28:13] Speaker A: The hotel itself. The hotel, yeah. And it was the whole area. But the hotel had a generator. But the generator was only generating for
[00:28:22] Speaker B: hallway lights and elevator.
[00:28:24] Speaker A: No, no, for one side of the hotel.
[00:28:27] Speaker B: Oh wow.
[00:28:27] Speaker A: The side I was on, like my section didn't have power. It had like you said, the lights in the hallway and stuff. But like the rooms, but. So we still had our banquet and everything. Cause that's it. That section was lit up and that
[00:28:41] Speaker B: was on the right side.
[00:28:41] Speaker A: Yeah, so that was on. So we still had the banquet and everything. But I get back to my room, it's still not lit up. Whatever, whatever. And it finally lit up at like where the power finally came back at like 11:30 that night.
[00:28:52] Speaker B: Was you hot?
[00:28:53] Speaker A: Nah. Cause the storm had came and it cooled everything down. So, you know, it wasn't really bad in my room or whatever. But like the other parts, like my uncle, his room probably was.
So he had a room and then part of the room probably was about maybe half the size of this room.
And that was like his, that was just like a welcome. They call it a welcome center or whatever. And that was his room. So a lot of. It's probably about. No, it was bigger than half of the size of this room. But it was like probably 40 of us. And they, they playing cars.
[00:29:22] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:29:22] Speaker A: Drinking. They had a whole big crap. So we in there. And then so the next day, you know, it's time to check out now.
They slipped me the bill under the door.
[00:29:31] Speaker B: I get the bill, slide it back out.
[00:29:33] Speaker A: Nah, the bill was half of, half off.
[00:29:36] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:29:36] Speaker A: Because of the power outage. I'm happy now. And I wasn't even inconvenienced none. Like I was gonna ask you that now.
[00:29:42] Speaker B: I was gonna say that they let it go.
[00:29:44] Speaker A: Yeah, they let that. So I was like, shoot, I, I ain't mad. Cause I wouldn't have complained because the power went out. Because it wasn't like it was their fault. It was an act of God.
Like it was a.
It was like a, like some condos, apartments like right up on the hill, right by us. And I could, like from my room, I could see that all of the lights were out at the condo until a certain time. So they lights was out. So it was just the area's lights was out. It wasn't just the hotel. But I wasn't complaining, you know what I'm saying? Got it for the low, you know what I'm saying?
[00:30:14] Speaker B: So was it affiliated with who you affiliated with?
[00:30:17] Speaker A: What do you mean?
[00:30:18] Speaker B: The hotel?
[00:30:19] Speaker A: No, no, no, no, no. It's another resort.
[00:30:21] Speaker B: Oh, so you paying for real price?
[00:30:23] Speaker A: Yeah, well, paying for the family price. Yeah.
[00:30:25] Speaker B: O.
[00:30:26] Speaker A: Then I had that. I had a little situation with that. Had to. Had to go back and re up on that at the who I was affiliated with. I wasn't affiliated for a time. Now I'm back affiliated, if you get what I'm saying. Oh, okay. Yeah, so we affiliated.
[00:30:38] Speaker B: Look, I'm unaffiliated.
[00:30:39] Speaker A: You gotta come get back. Affiliated.
[00:30:40] Speaker B: I just got unaffiliated. I'm over here. Gary Locked something in.
Big X comes across the screen like, nah, this was for friends and family. Oh, I hit the joint up. Hey, now put me back on.
[00:30:53] Speaker A: Oh, you was friends and family affiliated.
[00:30:54] Speaker B: Talk. They talk about, yeah, I'm not working there no more.
[00:30:57] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we, we, we got some. We get you. We get you right.
[00:31:01] Speaker B: But that price was sweet.
[00:31:03] Speaker A: Friends and family. Yeah, we get your friends and family.
[00:31:06] Speaker B: I need to be a spouse.
[00:31:07] Speaker A: You need to be a. I need that spouse. You need to come lock in and get a job.
[00:31:11] Speaker B: I need to. I'm about to quit this one.
[00:31:14] Speaker A: Lock in and do. Do nights and weekend. Do a night at weekend.
[00:31:18] Speaker B: She wasn't trying to end.
[00:31:20] Speaker A: No, not that. Do front desk.
They need them.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right. I'm telling you, man, I retired right now. I'm out playing.
[00:31:27] Speaker A: You don't want. You don't want.
[00:31:28] Speaker B: I want to travel. I'm already locked in for two other shows I'm going to.
[00:31:31] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm about to lock in too.
[00:31:33] Speaker B: This is it. I'm free now.
[00:31:34] Speaker A: Shout out to cl. I'm about to lock in for this.
[00:31:38] Speaker B: Which one?
[00:31:39] Speaker A: Jay Z in October
[00:31:43] Speaker B: in la.
[00:31:47] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:31:48] Speaker B: I think you should have went to the New York one.
[00:31:50] Speaker A: Nah, I couldn't.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: I think you needed that vibe. That New York.
[00:31:53] Speaker A: Nah, I couldn't. The family reunion was the next week. Man, I was missing. I would have missed like three days. One weekend and four days for another week. I couldn't have did that. Yeah, yeah. I got calls to sell, baby bills to pay.
[00:32:04] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:32:05] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was my weekend. I was off. You know what I'm saying? I enjoyed it. Shout out to my family. Shout out to ovo quitter. Because she always emailed the Jones show, but got to see her.
[00:32:18] Speaker B: She listened over here.
[00:32:19] Speaker A: Yeah, she listened over here. Yeah, she went to the live show. She came to the live show. I think that's around that time. That's when I found out we was cousins.
Yeah, but shout out to her. Shout out to all my family from Lamar.
[00:32:32] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:32:33] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. It was a lot of people there. A lot of people there. It was dope. And I hope the next one be just as dope. Cause it's gonna be back in South Carolina. But. Yeah, but. Yeah.
What you watch this week, man?
[00:32:44] Speaker B: I didn't watch too much. I watch a couple things. I watch.
I watched the movie Obsession. Did you see that?
[00:32:51] Speaker A: I heard people talking about. Is that. Was that in the movies? Is that in the movies?
[00:32:54] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it was. Okay, just. It might have just came out, like. When I say just, I mean, like this month.
[00:33:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, it's pretty new.
[00:33:02] Speaker B: Yeah, that was. It was crazy.
[00:33:04] Speaker A: It's a white lady, right?
[00:33:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, the movie's about a kid that was kind of obsessed with this girl.
[00:33:10] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:33:11] Speaker B: He wanted to date her so bad. They were friends already, so they had this. You know, he went in a spiritual store and they had a. Oh, it's
[00:33:18] Speaker A: one of those spirit wishes.
[00:33:20] Speaker B: Yeah, he had Make a Wish joint.
And you know what he wished? Yo. What she could.
[00:33:25] Speaker A: Oh. And it made her be obsessed over him.
[00:33:27] Speaker B: Obsessed. Boy, she. It was one scene where she didn't want him to go to work.
So she's standing at the door.
He leaves out. She's standing at the door all the way till he get back. She's shitting on the floor. She peeing on herself. She not going nowhere.
Standing right at the door like crazy. It's a crazy movie, though.
[00:33:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, I heard some people talk about it.
[00:33:49] Speaker B: Yeah, it was all right. It was a good watch. I watched the whole thing.
[00:33:52] Speaker A: Be careful what you asked for.
[00:33:53] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely be careful what you asked for.
[00:33:55] Speaker A: What else you watching?
[00:33:57] Speaker B: The Death of Robin Hood.
That's with.
[00:34:00] Speaker A: That's a new, dark Robin Hood type.
[00:34:02] Speaker B: Yes, it is. It's not. It's not about Robin Hood going out and. And stealing for the poor. It's about a Robin Hood that was doing.
You know, he was, you know, killing other people and stuff like that. And people was kind of coming at him, as in revenge.
[00:34:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:34:20] Speaker B: And he's a lot older and stuff like that. So that's what the. Basically the movie is about, really. It's a. It's a totally different spin of the regular Rodham Robin Hood. Yeah, that was pretty good, too. That was all right.
And a new series I'm watching The Westies.
[00:34:36] Speaker A: The Westies?
[00:34:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:34:37] Speaker A: What's that on?
[00:34:39] Speaker B: You know, I'm. I'm. Let me see. I tell you.
[00:34:42] Speaker A: The Westies. What's it about?
[00:34:44] Speaker B: It's about the Italian mob in New York.
It's. It's a Irish. I don't know if they're the Irish mob, but they're Irish gang.
And you know the Javits center in New York?
[00:34:58] Speaker A: It's Jacob Javits.
[00:34:59] Speaker B: Yeah, the Jacob Javits center is when
[00:35:01] Speaker A: they build it here, man. Y', all. Hey, y', all, y', all, look. I'm looking right in the camera.
[00:35:05] Speaker B: Let me tell you something, man.
[00:35:06] Speaker A: This. This be disrespecting me on this. On my knowledge, man. I'm getting sick of this. I'm sick of it.
You heard of the Javits Center? Yeah. Hell, yeah, nigga. Jacob.
[00:35:15] Speaker B: Yeah. Jacob Javits.
[00:35:16] Speaker A: Jacob the Jeweler Javits. Yeah.
[00:35:17] Speaker B: So this is when it was new.
[00:35:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:35:19] Speaker B: And the mob had a cut in it and the Irish people had a cut in it.
So they're trying to work together because this stuff is getting built now. But a whole bunch of turmoils happen in between them and stuff like that.
[00:35:33] Speaker A: So this was like in the 60s, 70s.
[00:35:35] Speaker B: 70s.
Had to be 70s or. Yeah, it had to be like 70s. Cause what's his name, John Gotti is one of the head characters.
[00:35:46] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:35:47] Speaker B: Yeah. It's probably about 70.
[00:35:50] Speaker A: It's crazy how they were into.
They were getting paid from, like, legitimate businesses. Oh, yeah, that's shaking them down.
[00:35:56] Speaker B: Yeah. That's where the whole thing. The union, they end up taking over unions.
[00:36:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:36:02] Speaker B: So, you know, the whole garbage man thing and stuff like that and all. All of that.
That's good. I'm up to the third episode, and
[00:36:13] Speaker A: you still don't know what it. Come on.
[00:36:15] Speaker B: I'm about to tell you right now. It's on Sling Pluto.
Mgm. What's the mgm? What?
[00:36:26] Speaker A: Oh, that's a Paramount. I don't know. I guess it might be Paramount stuff now.
[00:36:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Because it doesn't say exactly.
[00:36:32] Speaker A: MGM is its own channel, though, so
[00:36:34] Speaker B: it says YouTube TV.
It has. Oh, it might be Prime.
[00:36:39] Speaker A: But Prime. But saying prime. Everything. Come on Prime. Because prime got all the extensions.
[00:36:44] Speaker B: Yeah, well, they don't have a. A set thing that is coming on there.
[00:36:48] Speaker A: Okay.
That was all you watched?
[00:36:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I watched the Tiny Deaths.
[00:36:56] Speaker A: Who. Tiny Death.
[00:36:58] Speaker B: Bow Wow.
[00:36:59] Speaker A: That was weeks ago.
[00:37:01] Speaker B: Yeah, but we.
[00:37:02] Speaker A: You finally watched it.
[00:37:03] Speaker B: It's been two weeks since we recorded.
[00:37:04] Speaker A: No, that they. That came out on the.
[00:37:06] Speaker B: Three weeks ago.
[00:37:07] Speaker A: That came out.
That debuted right before the BET Awards.
[00:37:13] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, it did. It did.
[00:37:15] Speaker A: It did.
[00:37:17] Speaker B: I watched versus a little bit of the verses. I know. You watched it.
[00:37:21] Speaker A: Yep, I did.
[00:37:23] Speaker B: You watched the whole thing?
[00:37:24] Speaker A: Most of it. I got, like, 30 minutes left.
[00:37:26] Speaker B: The blood meeting God. Come on.
Was it too much for you? Cause it was too much for me.
[00:37:32] Speaker A: I got nervous at first.
I saw all that fucking red.
[00:37:36] Speaker B: I mean, they had red lights and everything.
[00:37:39] Speaker A: Everything was red. It was.
So it's one section where you don't really, like, I guess, like, down here.
And I don't even know if he'll be, like, considered the same, because I feel like his music was better. But to me, it'll be, like, kind of like how boosie would be in the South. How Boosie get love like that in the South.
[00:38:01] Speaker B: Who the game?
[00:38:03] Speaker A: Hell, no. I'm talking about Nipsey. Oh, oh, oh. They showed Nipsey so much love.
[00:38:08] Speaker B: He cried, didn't he?
[00:38:09] Speaker A: Yeah, he was. Yeah, that's. Yeah, he was crying. He couldn't even do the song. Yeah, but it was one part where they was doing, like, they was going back and forth for, like, the songs they had with Nip, and they called this one dude out to do his thing or whatever, and it was just one Crip. It was one Crip out there with all them bloods. I was like, God damn them. Did not look happy in the crowd. And this was walking. I'm talking. He did his thing, but I could tell his heart went all the way in it. He was doing his Crip walking, and them on the side was like, all right now, cuz. You know? I mean, it was like, all right now, Blood. Don't. Don't, don't. Crip, too. You know what I'm saying?
[00:38:41] Speaker B: Hey, when he first got out there, he kind of did look around.
[00:38:43] Speaker A: He look around like, all right, let me make sure.
[00:38:45] Speaker B: Like, should I do it?
[00:38:46] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? But, yeah, he got down. He did his thing for about 30 seconds and got. He got on out the wind, and he did like homer in that damn video and slid in the back.
[00:38:57] Speaker B: He disappeared two up and.
[00:38:59] Speaker A: Yeah, let them his rap.
[00:39:01] Speaker B: You ain't see him no more.
[00:39:02] Speaker A: You ain't see that no more.
He had a. A blue hat with a C on it. All them red hats with Cs on it. I was like, God damn. Hey, man, I ain't never seen so much red in my life, bro. Like, this was you.
[00:39:15] Speaker B: It's too much. It was too much.
[00:39:16] Speaker A: Hey, let me tell you something, anybody else, gd, Crip, whatever, Stay your ass at home. This ain't for you.
This ain't for you.
[00:39:24] Speaker B: Look, I thought of that. I'm like, okay, it's a. It's a function. They call it a function. Yeah, it was a nice get together. But if you're a regular Joe, you might get robbed out there.
[00:39:35] Speaker A: It ain't for you.
[00:39:35] Speaker B: You see what happened to the girls when he brought him on stage?
[00:39:38] Speaker A: What?
[00:39:39] Speaker B: They was like, oh, you didn't get to that part?
[00:39:41] Speaker A: Not me. I seen some girls.
[00:39:42] Speaker B: They brought the girls on stage and she was, you know, kind of did a little dance, twerk. And they said no. They started hovering in.
[00:39:49] Speaker A: I might not have got it apart.
She was rapping.
[00:39:52] Speaker B: No, no, no, no. The girls that was dancing had the booty shorts on.
[00:39:55] Speaker A: Oh, no, no, no, no. I ain't got that part.
[00:39:56] Speaker B: Yeah, so she kind of was like, looking around and she kind of.
[00:40:00] Speaker A: And got out of. Got out the way.
[00:40:01] Speaker B: Yeah, like, all right, that's enough.
[00:40:03] Speaker A: Yeah, and all that. They've been drinking heavy. See, I didn't see it.
I couldn't find, like a just channel where it was just them.
I found it with the least annoying person that was streaming it or whatever, and he put it on YouTube.
[00:40:16] Speaker B: I was watching from Apple Music.
[00:40:19] Speaker A: You watched it live? Yeah, see, I. I didn't catch it live.
[00:40:22] Speaker B: Yeah, I watched a lot.
[00:40:24] Speaker A: And when.
When them. When. When blood, I mean, went down, not blood, when Kane was drinking that bottle straight, he was like, my man that was watching it, like, that was his broadcast. He was watching or whatever. Like in the corner, he was like, yeah, them bloods drink a lot. He was like, them bloods drink a lot, homie.
[00:40:42] Speaker B: So this. He's beating it chest.
[00:40:45] Speaker A: He had to, man. I know that was about to throw up, man.
[00:40:47] Speaker B: Oh, you guys, you see his face?
[00:40:48] Speaker A: He.
[00:40:48] Speaker B: Yeah, for a quick second, he was like, yep.
[00:40:51] Speaker A: Even YG was like. YG was like, hey, man, you drank that cup right there. He was like, yeah, that was mine.
Hope blood some more. Hey, man. Theme.
Hey, man, I would not have been comfortable in there. I'm sorry, man.
[00:41:06] Speaker B: Not at all.
[00:41:07] Speaker A: I would not have been comfortable in there.
[00:41:08] Speaker B: It wasn't for the culture.
[00:41:09] Speaker A: It was. That was for their culture.
That was for some la. That was strictly LA shit.
[00:41:14] Speaker B: Have you went. Cause you like the game or something like that? Or you like music that ain't the night?
[00:41:19] Speaker A: And if you really like the game in yg, you knew to stay your ass home if you wasn't affiliated, nigga, it Was so much red. And them niggas was twisting their fingers up so damn much.
[00:41:28] Speaker B: Hey, man, they dap each other. I want to sit back and count the daps.
[00:41:31] Speaker A: Yeah, it was a lot of daps.
[00:41:33] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[00:41:33] Speaker A: It was a lot of daps. But I ain't heard nothing. Nothing came from that. No. You know what I'm saying? Shenanigans or nothing disrespectful. But let me tell you something. Them niggas had red. I mean, regular outfits on. But you damn sure better hope know that they gonna have some red on that motherfucker some way. Nigga had on all white with a red belt like he had red laces in his shoes. Nigga.
[00:41:53] Speaker B: It was a that nigga game that. The memes with the dancing.
[00:41:57] Speaker A: I ain't even seen that. I ain't seen none of the video
[00:41:59] Speaker B: dance he was doing.
[00:42:00] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw.
[00:42:01] Speaker B: Yeah, they put the meme on there. They said, yeah, this is how you act when your paycheck hit the.
Hit the damn account early.
[00:42:09] Speaker A: Hey, man.
Hey, man. That shit was.
[00:42:13] Speaker B: It had to be. To me, it was the worst one.
[00:42:17] Speaker A: Nah, hell, no.
[00:42:19] Speaker B: You don't think so?
[00:42:20] Speaker A: That damn one with Omarion and Ray J, that was the worst.
[00:42:24] Speaker B: Nah, that was super entertaining.
[00:42:25] Speaker A: Nah, that. That was. I like that. I liked that one last night.
[00:42:28] Speaker B: You did?
[00:42:29] Speaker A: I. I listened to their music, though. Especially yg.
[00:42:32] Speaker B: It was too much like. It was too many of them on stage. It was. They was on stage together.
It wasn't like.
[00:42:38] Speaker A: But it wasn't like no beef and shit, though. It was like. It was back and forth. That's why I liked it, too. Cause they was just showing love.
And Game was drunk showing love to him. You know what I'm saying?
[00:42:47] Speaker B: I wonder how drunk he was, though. Like, when it kicked in later. I want to know when it kicked in later.
[00:42:51] Speaker A: That nigga head still hurting. That shit came on Thursday.
That nigga head still hurt Sunday, right? Yeah, he still drinking water, that nigga.
He got a whole bunch of damn pedialytes, IVs and shit.
[00:43:04] Speaker B: I went looking for an interview. You know how they do, like, an interview after I went to find that to see if he was drunk. He was still sober.
[00:43:11] Speaker A: Oh, he was.
[00:43:11] Speaker B: He was still good.
[00:43:13] Speaker A: He said before, he was like, I'm about to do what my mama tell me I need to stop doing. And drank that whole bottle.
[00:43:18] Speaker B: You've been doing it, too. That's the second time I seen it.
[00:43:21] Speaker A: Yeah? Yeah.
[00:43:22] Speaker B: Old Patron bottle.
[00:43:23] Speaker A: I didn't think that was the worst one.
Not even close.
Cause we done got. We done got like the down south version of that with Jeezy and Gucci. We done got the north version of that with.
I mean, we're gonna. Got a few north versions of that with like Fabulous and Jadakiss and the Locks.
[00:43:39] Speaker B: That was a bad one.
[00:43:40] Speaker A: The lox and dip set, Ghostface and
[00:43:42] Speaker B: Raekwon was a bad one.
But you know what? It wasn't. You know what? The game one wasn't bad. It just wasn't organized. Right. It wasn't organized for.
[00:43:52] Speaker A: What do you mean?
What do you mean?
[00:43:54] Speaker B: I don't know. It's. It's too many of them on stage.
I don't know. It just had a different feel to it.
Super different feel at the beginning.
[00:44:05] Speaker A: I think you. I. I think you go into them with an expectation of it to be a certain way.
[00:44:12] Speaker B: Everybody probably do, but I don't.
[00:44:14] Speaker A: I go into it looking to see what they gonna play and. You know what I'm saying? That's it.
[00:44:18] Speaker B: The first. What first couple songs, they had a little set, right?
[00:44:24] Speaker A: They did the first time. Well, the first song, the gameplay, he had Travis.
Travis Barker.
[00:44:29] Speaker B: Travis Barker. It was like set up like the old verses. Like, you know, get up there and do that. Then after that, they was just playing song for song next to each other.
[00:44:39] Speaker A: Yeah. When they was going like back, that had to be the plan because the songs was coming out too quick. Like, soon as one was over, they was playing another one.
[00:44:47] Speaker B: Yeah, it was.
[00:44:47] Speaker A: And the songs kind of went together like the gameplay, like a song for the ladies and then yg and then YG play like tooted and booted, you know what I'm saying? And they was going back and forth. So it was a. It was a plan. But I, you know, it was different. Different culture, so it was different to me. You know what I'm saying? I enjoyed it.
[00:45:04] Speaker B: It was cool. I mean, I like Game, like you said.
[00:45:07] Speaker A: See, I like YG a little better than game.
[00:45:09] Speaker B: You do. Everybody say YG won too.
[00:45:12] Speaker A: That's what I saw too.
[00:45:13] Speaker B: Everybody say that. I wonder why they said that. Because he got more female song, more dance songs.
[00:45:20] Speaker A: That might be it. Because the game played like he played some of his old, like, 50 Cent stuff or G Unit stuff. Yeah, but a lot of, like, a lot of YG stuff. Like, kind of the stuff he played was like songs like radio songs or club songs or whatever.
[00:45:34] Speaker B: Yeah, anything with mustard, he wins that round. Yeah.
[00:45:36] Speaker A: Yeah. Cause he got a lot of them.
[00:45:38] Speaker B: He got a lot of Them. Yep.
[00:45:39] Speaker A: Even when he. When. And he set it up too. Cause, like, Game had played one song, he was like, oh, yeah, that was a real political song. Whatever, whatever. And they played Fuck Donald Trump.
[00:45:48] Speaker B: You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I saw that part too.
[00:45:50] Speaker A: So, yeah, it was cool. Yeah, it was cool.
I think a lot of people, like, saw them too. Because I saw people like, ain't nobody gonna watch that, you know what I'm saying? When they saw them two names or whatever.
[00:46:02] Speaker B: But a lot of people say that.
[00:46:03] Speaker A: Yeah, but looking at that crowd, you know what I'm saying? Then one of my. One of my favorite rappers that's out right now, Kamiya, she was up there. I forgot she had a song with yg.
[00:46:11] Speaker B: Is that the one with.
[00:46:13] Speaker A: She had on White on it. She had on the all White hoodie or some. She had on the all White.
[00:46:17] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I've seen it.
[00:46:18] Speaker A: She got a. She got an album. I listen to that about every day. An album called Oakland Knights.
[00:46:22] Speaker B: What's her name?
[00:46:22] Speaker A: Kamiyah.
[00:46:23] Speaker B: Never heard of.
Had to get in tune.
[00:46:26] Speaker A: Yeah. I had started, like, listening to her because it was like a list of, like, female rappers that had came out, like top 25 female rappers or whatever. It was some list or whatever.
[00:46:37] Speaker B: And she was on it.
[00:46:38] Speaker A: And her list. Her name was on it. So I was like, I ain't never heard of her. I was going down the list, whatever. And I was. I ain't never heard her. I'm gonna listen to her. And it just so happened to be that mixtape had came out, like, recently. So I just started listening to that and it just. It feel like a west coast. You know what I'm saying?
[00:46:53] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:46:53] Speaker A: Shit. Or whatever. So. But yeah, I enjoy that shit. But I'm watching X Men 97.
[00:46:59] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:47:00] Speaker A: You know, that's a good little cartoon. Whatever the shy finale is, it finally finale. It's finally over. Yeah.
[00:47:09] Speaker B: I'm tired of hearing how bad it is.
[00:47:13] Speaker A: People talk about the Game of Thrones finale and this finale and that finale.
[00:47:18] Speaker B: Yeah, it's worse.
[00:47:21] Speaker A: To me, it was. Cause all it was, you know, two of the characters got married, so it was just a whole bunch of pictures being taken.
They did bring back some of the people that had left the show before some of the family members came back or whatever. But I'm just glad it's over. It looked good.
If you not just watch the episode just for the cinematography and how the shots are and all that, it, like, looked good. Every episode of that show looked good. The coloring and all of that, but they just.
Yeah. Anyway, I went to see the Odyssey.
[00:47:55] Speaker B: Oh, that's on the app, as they say.
[00:47:58] Speaker A: Nah, that's a good.
[00:47:58] Speaker B: That's a good movie you watched. You went to see it?
[00:48:01] Speaker A: Yeah, I went to see it. Yeah, it was real good, actually. Oh, yeah, yeah, it was real good.
[00:48:05] Speaker B: I clicked on it yesterday.
[00:48:06] Speaker A: I was like, yeah, especially if, like, if you were into that. Well, everybody had to, like, read that in high school or whatever.
[00:48:15] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:48:15] Speaker A: But well, no, we had to read, like Beowulf and shit like that. I don't know if we did have to read the Odyssey, but pretty much, you pretty much familiar with some of that stuff. But it was good. Good acting.
You know, you kind of familiar with the storyline or whatever. But yeah, it was good. I like that.
[00:48:34] Speaker B: Oh, I might have to check it out, though.
[00:48:35] Speaker A: Then I watched Masters of the Universe.
[00:48:38] Speaker B: Oh, it was good, right?
[00:48:40] Speaker A: It's entertaining. It is entertaining. It was good. Cause it was real colorful.
You could tell, like, it didn't take his. Yeah, like the comic, it didn't take itself serious.
[00:48:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:48:50] Speaker A: Like, it was kind of cheesy with the stuff they was doing, but it wasn't over the top cheesy. Like the dude who played he man,
[00:48:58] Speaker B: you like, he was the cheesiest through the whole thing.
[00:49:01] Speaker A: He was the cheesies through the whole thing.
[00:49:02] Speaker B: The whole thing.
[00:49:03] Speaker A: But it was. You know what I'm saying? It fit right in.
Cause I wanna say this. It was either this or Transformers. But they just used to make the toys and they made the show off the toys. Like the cartoon off the toys.
[00:49:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:18] Speaker A: So it really, like, the cartoon really was just a thing to sell toys. And you could kinda tell with, like, they even joked on.
They like made jokes about themselves in the movie, like, oh, yeah, but with the names. With the names of the character, the characters. Like Jawbone. Jawbone or something. Neck.
Yeah, Fist. Fist man, whatever. Fisto or something like that. Like.
[00:49:43] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:49:44] Speaker A: Like what. Why you call me that?
[00:49:45] Speaker B: But he was like, because you're.
[00:49:46] Speaker A: You.
[00:49:47] Speaker B: You fisting people?
[00:49:48] Speaker A: Yeah, so.
[00:49:49] Speaker B: And then that was an ongoing.
[00:49:50] Speaker A: And then at the. At the end with his name, he's like, what's your name gonna be? What's your name? Whatever. He was like, he man. And then she was like, that's redundant, isn't it? Or whatever. He was like, yeah, but I'm like a man, man.
[00:50:01] Speaker B: He. I'm a man.
[00:50:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
Yeah, but it was. It was. It was entertaining. Um, it's like going into it, I thought, like, I would probably stop it, but as it went through, I just wanted to, you know, see what happened at the end. So it was good.
[00:50:15] Speaker B: I'm the same way. Cause I was like, I ain't gonna like that. But then a couple people was like, yeah, it's good, it's good. I'm like, all right, I love Skeletor.
[00:50:23] Speaker A: The dude whoever played Skeletor.
[00:50:25] Speaker B: You know who it was?
[00:50:26] Speaker A: No, I don't know.
[00:50:27] Speaker B: It was the guy that played.
[00:50:28] Speaker A: Was it the. It wasn't the dude who played Bane, was it?
[00:50:31] Speaker B: Nah, it was the guy that played.
What's that? Marvel movie?
Hold on, I'll find it for you
[00:50:39] Speaker A: while you look that up. So like in the beginning, Skeletor, some of the stuff he was saying, it was kind of like Bane stuff.
[00:50:47] Speaker B: You think so?
[00:50:47] Speaker A: Yeah, some of the stuff he was saying, it was like. It reminded me of some of the stuff that Bane had said or whatever and like his tone.
But yeah, it was good. It was good. It was a good movie.
I think you could watch it.
Yeah, it's a movie you can watch with kids or whatever.
[00:51:01] Speaker B: That's him.
[00:51:02] Speaker A: What?
Oh, Jared Leto.
[00:51:06] Speaker B: Why?
[00:51:06] Speaker A: You couldn't say his name?
[00:51:07] Speaker B: Nah, I was gonna show you. I didn't know you wouldn't say that. Yeah, but he was in, you know, a lot of stuff.
[00:51:11] Speaker A: Yeah, Jared Leto playing a lot of stuff. Yeah. And then I started watching the Kevin Hart movie, 72 Hours.
It's on Netflix.
[00:51:21] Speaker B: Yeah, it just popped up. I just saw it.
[00:51:23] Speaker A: I think it just must be. Just came out Friday or something like that. I haven't finished it, but I just started it.
It's.
[00:51:30] Speaker B: It's Kevin Hardage.
[00:51:32] Speaker A: No, I mean it is, but it's kind of like, I think you, if you start watching it, you'll kind of identify with the theme of the movie.
So he's an ad exec and he's trying to get this big like deal or whatever contract and he's kind of out of touch with like an ad he did for one of these products because they trying to appease to like Gen Z. Yeah, Gen Z or whatever.
So he goes down to Miami with this group of 20 year olds or 20 something year olds to kind of get their language, see what they really like or whatever. And they call him Unk and OG.
[00:52:16] Speaker B: Oh, so it might be good.
[00:52:17] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's why I say we might be able to identify with it like one part of the movie. They set it up. You can tell what's gonna happen happened. His wife, his girlfriend, you know, asked him, is he gonna Take his just for me. Just for men or whatever. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Cause he got the gray in his beard and he was like, yeah, I'm gonna take it, you know, gotta get right or whatever. You know what I'm saying? [00:52:46] Speaker B: Not all us.
[00:52:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I let it go.
[00:52:50] Speaker B: I'm still black.
[00:52:52] Speaker A: I let the gray show.
[00:52:53] Speaker B: Black with a couple grays, a couple strands here and there. That's it.
[00:52:56] Speaker A: That grand never stopped nothing.
[00:52:58] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, you could be a

[00:53:02] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:53:03] Speaker A: Them corny though.
[00:53:05] Speaker B: Them corny.

[00:53:21] Speaker B: Oh, good. Cause I didn't see last week.
[00:53:23] Speaker A: Yeah, it didn't come on last week, so I don't know if it came out this week or not.
[00:53:25] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:53:26] Speaker A: Yeah, I may watch it tonight or tomorrow or something. But yeah, I'm gonna watch it.
[00:53:31] Speaker B: I'm watched.
[00:53:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I know.
[00:53:34] Speaker B: You didn't get into Cape Fear.
[00:53:36] Speaker A: Nah, nah. Why didn't you mention it? I asked you what you watched, you
[00:53:39] Speaker B: didn't say it was one thing I forgot. But it was a good one. It's crazy.
I think you'll like it, man.
[00:53:45] Speaker A: Nah, I won't. Scary.
[00:53:46] Speaker B: It's not scary. There's nothing scary about it.
[00:53:50] Speaker A: I'm gonna ask. I'm gonna ask Amy and she gonna tell you. Yeah, a couple other people.
[00:53:54] Speaker B: Yeah, not scary.
[00:53:55] Speaker A: Whatever, man. Did you watch, did you watch Lovecraft Country?
[00:54:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:54:01] Speaker A: Was anything scary on Lovecraft Country?
[00:54:03] Speaker B: Yeah, it was.
[00:54:03] Speaker A: What?
[00:54:04] Speaker B: It's been so long ago. That had scary parts to it.
[00:54:07] Speaker A: I remember what was scary. That's how scary it was. It was episode three when it was that damn demon fucking house and them damn monsters in that damn house. And that was that damn blowed up face, man. Hell, that was scary.
[00:54:19] Speaker B: Episode 3. 5. 5 minutes and 22 seconds.
[00:54:21] Speaker A: It was. It was because it was.
Yeah, there was Journey. Smollet was in that damn house and that damn ghost. She saw that damn ghost.
[00:54:29] Speaker B: Yeah. See this don't have that. Yeah, these are. This is a regular guy trying to get back at a lawyer.
[00:54:35] Speaker A: What's so scary then? Why is it fear?
[00:54:38] Speaker B: Oh, no, no.
[00:54:39] Speaker A: Who got on the cake?
[00:54:40] Speaker B: That's the name of the lake. That's the Name of the area, Cape Fear.
[00:54:43] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:54:46] Speaker B: Yeah. Nothing scary at it. Nothing scary at all.
[00:54:48] Speaker A: I take your word for it.
What else? Oh, yeah, we kind of talked about some concerts earlier.
[00:54:59] Speaker B: What's the next one? You go. Oh, you say you're going to that?
[00:55:01] Speaker A: Jesus, I'm trying to go to that. Yeah. I'm just waiting. So when you know people, you know people.
[00:55:07] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:55:07] Speaker A: So I hollered at the homie. He hollered at his young homie and trying to get us on that list to go out there to la.
So we get that, we get that call to go out there.
[00:55:20] Speaker B: You in there?
[00:55:20] Speaker A: I'm in there.
[00:55:22] Speaker B: You in there yet or you.
[00:55:23] Speaker A: I don't know. He said, yeah, but you know what I'm saying? The homie was like, it's a little process, you know what I'm saying? Take a little time. So I'm back affiliated with who I need to be affiliated when it come to room and board, you know what I'm saying? All the other things getting out there now, I can get. I can get away out there and get back to the crib.
[00:55:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:55:43] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? If I can get it, get, get, get, get on the wheel call or some like that, man, you won't be able to tell me. Yeah, hang with some goddamn NBA or whatever. Yeah, you can't tell me, man, I got.
[00:55:56] Speaker B: Yo, you got, you got to FaceTime when you get there.
[00:55:59] Speaker A: I ain't gonna do like you.
You don't call no goddamn body.
[00:56:04] Speaker B: I'm gonna call you. I'm gonna call you next month. How about that?
[00:56:07] Speaker A: Where you going? Who you gonna see?
[00:56:09] Speaker B: It's a either or, but there's another show for Ghostface and them. That tour is going to.
[00:56:14] Speaker A: Wait a minute, wait a minute. Redman is in my top five.
Keith Murray and Redman was in the death squad together.
[00:56:22] Speaker B: Yeah, they like brothers.
[00:56:24] Speaker A: I need to get Red man on the phone.
Pull some strings. Let me get Red man on the phone. I need to holla at Redman.
[00:56:30] Speaker B: So wait, I thought you ain' on the phone or you want to interview.
[00:56:34] Speaker A: I don't want to interview this. I just want to talk to him, ask him what he watching on tv, like who his basketball team is, stuff like that.
[00:56:40] Speaker B: Yo, Red.
[00:56:40] Speaker A: What you got going on, playboy? Who's this?
[00:56:42] Speaker B: Elijah.
What you doing?
[00:56:46] Speaker A: Yeah, what up, Red? What's going on, playboy? Yeah, yeah.
[00:56:50] Speaker B: I mean, it can happen.
[00:56:51] Speaker A: You got games on your phone.
[00:56:52] Speaker B: He. He lives in the area that I'm that, that I used to live in.
[00:56:56] Speaker A: Oh, for real.
[00:56:56] Speaker B: He lives in Staten island now.
[00:56:57] Speaker A: Oh, okay, okay.
[00:56:59] Speaker B: He got a shop there. Like a store?
[00:57:01] Speaker A: No, I would.
[00:57:02] Speaker B: You go to the store and he probably there.
[00:57:04] Speaker A: Oh, word, Word, word. But nah, nah, seriously, though. I mean, the interview with Red man, that'd be dope.
[00:57:10] Speaker B: He don't do too many.
[00:57:12] Speaker A: I have never seen him do. I have never really seen that Red man.
[00:57:14] Speaker B: He don't do too many.
A lot of people that might be easy to get don't do interviews too much that I know.
[00:57:23] Speaker A: You know my favorite show of all time and you went to school with one of the niggas.
[00:57:27] Speaker B: I couldn't get an interview with him, I don't think.
[00:57:29] Speaker A: And he's on. He on two of my. Like, he on my top show of all time and he's on. I don't know if I put it top 25. Cause I like a lot of TV.
[00:57:38] Speaker B: What? Mr. Meters?
[00:57:39] Speaker A: Yeah, that show is the new one's supposed to.
[00:57:42] Speaker B: They got a new one.
[00:57:42] Speaker A: They coming out with another one.
[00:57:43] Speaker B: Yeah, I talked to.
What's the guy name?
Dan. I talked to Dan.
[00:57:47] Speaker A: You talked to Dan recently? Shout out to Dan. Yeah, I was posting this stuff so much till Dan was like, hey, here, man, I'm gonna send you all the shows.
[00:57:55] Speaker B: Look, he sent it to me too.
[00:57:57] Speaker A: He sent me the Dropbox with all the shows.
[00:57:59] Speaker B: He sent it to me recently.
[00:58:00] Speaker A: Shout out to Dan.
[00:58:02] Speaker B: They got a show with Haas coming out. They working on it now. He.
[00:58:08] Speaker A: Oh, but it's not. It's not.
It's just a new show. It's not a continuation of it.
[00:58:12] Speaker B: Not a new show. But it's that kind of comedy.
[00:58:15] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:58:16] Speaker B: Cause I think if you seem like one of Haas last interviews, he talks about doing more funny roles and this. That's because they're working on that now.
[00:58:27] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, that. That. That one scene that went viral with. With the hat. No, not the hat. That's. That's more of a inside baseball one. But when. What's the comedian's name? But he played the principal and he was like, sir, you don't have to yell and cuss. He was like, one would suffice. And he was like, you so and so. But he changed. Yeah, that was so funny, man. Yeah, that was. Oh, my God, that was so funny.
But the hat. She was like. He was like, you see this drip? He was like, you look like.
[00:58:59] Speaker B: He said, you look like the vampire in Brooklyn or some shit.
[00:59:01] Speaker A: Yeah, you like?
[00:59:02] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Vampire slayer.
[00:59:03] Speaker A: Yeah, you look like. Yeah, yeah. She like. You like a vampire slayer. Like, what are you talking about? You see this drip?
And he was dead serious, too. That's the part that made it funny. Like, what are you talking about?
[00:59:14] Speaker B: His whole character, like, everything. Everything he said was funny.
[00:59:17] Speaker A: It was. Yeah, everything he said was funny, but he was super serious with it. Like, that's what made it. That's what made it so funny, man.
[00:59:23] Speaker B: That's what made it so funny.
[00:59:25] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, that show.
I wish more people watched that show when it came out.
[00:59:30] Speaker B: Black Bush Misdemeanors. I think it's on.
[00:59:32] Speaker A: I don't know if it's on something yet.
[00:59:34] Speaker B: I think it's on YouTube now. Like, you might be able to catch it.
[00:59:38] Speaker A: Okay, okay.
[00:59:38] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:59:40] Speaker A: Cause like I said, it came on Showtime, and then when Showtime switched to Paramount or whatever, the show got canceled. And then they took all of the episodes. And I would hit up, like you said, Dan, the creator, a head writer, whatever. And I'd be like, what are you streaming at? He's like, yeah, we can't do nothing. Whatever, whatever. And then I would. Whenever he would post a clip, I would post a clip. He post a clip, I'll post a clip. And then he was like, hey, man, I appreciate it.
And then he sent me the Dropbox with all the episodes. And then I did interview the guy that played Dan's stepdad, Kareem Green. Kareem Green, Yep. I interviewed Kareem. He was. Matter of fact, shout out to Ciel.
Him and one of Ciel homeboys, like, grew up together. They was tight. And Kareem was going down to Myrtle beach, and they stopped through Florence and came to the other studio, and I interviewed him with it. He was real cool, man.
[01:00:32] Speaker B: Did y' all do video footage?
[01:00:33] Speaker A: Nah, this was before we started doing video.
[01:00:36] Speaker B: Oh, word, Word.
[01:00:36] Speaker A: Yeah. He gave me a shirt. One of his shirts from his. He had, like, a shirt. Some shirts he was putting out over there.
[01:00:43] Speaker B: He's doing comedy strong right now. Yeah, yeah. Like, stand up, stand up Now.
[01:00:48] Speaker A: I think a lot of those guys on that show just stand up comedians, stand up comics. Yeah.
[01:00:52] Speaker B: I do know the guy that was selling the books out of the backseat, out of the trunk.
Remember when she went to. I think he went to buy a book that she liked so much.
[01:01:04] Speaker A: Mm.
[01:01:06] Speaker B: It was a gold car. Well, either way, he's a comedian. I know he's a comedian. Yeah.
[01:01:10] Speaker A: Yeah. I wanna say all. Cause before I did the interview, I found some other stuff that they had did, and they did like some other little, like, smaller shows, like a YouTube series and stuff. Oh, word.
[01:01:19] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Right now they posting a lot of Flatbush misdemeanor clips.
Getting everybody warmed up for that new stuff, I think.
[01:01:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
But, yeah, I'm gonna try to go to that Jay Z show. I know people talking about the.
I've seen that. Well, we talked about the Usher.
Usher, Chris Brown concert.
[01:01:37] Speaker B: You going to that?
[01:01:38] Speaker A: No, no, no, no. I'm just saying concerts is going on.
Nah, that ain't my. That ain't my thing.
[01:01:42] Speaker B: The Wu Tang concert is back.
[01:01:44] Speaker A: Oh, it is?
[01:01:44] Speaker B: With Bone Thug.
[01:01:47] Speaker A: Oh, they're going together. That'll be a good show for our age.
[01:01:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I done. I looked at some of the.
Some of the flights for.
I wanted to go to the Florida one. I'm not sure if I'll go to that one.
[01:01:58] Speaker A: Why Florida?
[01:02:00] Speaker B: I don't know. I just wanted to go to somewhere nice.
I know it's nice weather. I know people there.
[01:02:08] Speaker A: Oh, okay, okay, okay.
[01:02:10] Speaker B: People got pool at their house there.
[01:02:12] Speaker A: Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
[01:02:15] Speaker B: I thought about that one, but I might just do the Pennsylvania 1. The PA 1.
August 17, I think.
[01:02:23] Speaker A: What part of Pennsylvania?
[01:02:25] Speaker B: Harrisburg. Harris. Harrisburg. Harrisburg.
[01:02:27] Speaker A: Harrisburg. Yeah.
[01:02:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:02:33] Speaker A: I had a ticket to go see Wale, but they canceled the first time. And then the second time was the Thursday I left to go. Oh, word up there. So I missed that one.
J. Cole. I see a lot of people going to that J. Cole, so they say it dope. It was one where he.
I just saw that this morning. It was a girl. You know the Johnny P's Caddy song with him and.
Him and Benny the Butcher.
I think him and Benny the Butcher had that song.
[01:03:00] Speaker B: I don't really listen. Listen to him too much.
[01:03:01] Speaker A: But it was a girl in the crowd, and she was like, I'm a rap it word for word. And they put a camera on her or whatever.
[01:03:06] Speaker B: Oh, word.
[01:03:07] Speaker A: Yeah.
Summer Jam.
[01:03:11] Speaker B: Oh, man, that was a Friday. I wish I was there.
[01:03:14] Speaker A: Did you used to go when you was up there?
[01:03:16] Speaker B: Nah.
[01:03:16] Speaker A: Oh, you never been to Summer Jam?
[01:03:18] Speaker B: Nope.
Like, my peoples used to go and everything. I never went. Even one of the biggest ones where Puffy was wearing those.
The jerseys, the Yankees jersey, the baseball jersey. They said that year was big, and I didn't go to none of them. I wanted to go to just the backstage area, hang out in that area.
[01:03:43] Speaker A: 2001 was a big year.
Was it 2000, 2000 or 2000? One of them years. Them boys bought Michael Jackson.
[01:03:52] Speaker B: Oh, that was. Yeah, that might have been 2099 or something. Yeah, it was one of 9998 or something.
[01:03:59] Speaker A: I don't think it was 98.
[01:04:01] Speaker B: Yeah. But you know what? I don't think it was that big until after, like, people.
[01:04:07] Speaker A: Nah.
[01:04:08] Speaker B: Nobody knew he was coming, for one.
[01:04:10] Speaker A: No, nobody knew he was coming. But it was still big, though.
It was still big.
[01:04:15] Speaker B: It got etched in stone because of that.
[01:04:19] Speaker A: But, I mean, you know,
[01:04:22] Speaker B: that 50 Cent era was a big, big one.
[01:04:25] Speaker A: He did Summer Jam.
[01:04:26] Speaker B: Yeah, that was.
[01:04:28] Speaker A: Isn't it another concert that's up. Well, Summer jam is hot. 97.
[01:04:33] Speaker B: I think so. Yeah.
[01:04:34] Speaker A: Power. What they call this shit?
[01:04:36] Speaker B: I don't know, but it's never. There's nothing as big as Summer Jam.
I forgot Summer Jam was like the biggest thing. Like when it comes to shows, like, that's the biggest thing.
[01:04:48] Speaker A: But like, every city. Well, a lot of cities have their own version of that. Like Atlanta got something where they have a whole bunch of artists.
[01:04:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:04:55] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:04:58] Speaker B: Summer shit. You know, they used to. I think they stopped it like maybe two years ago.
They used to stream it.
[01:05:05] Speaker A: Oh, they did.
[01:05:06] Speaker B: I remember Sundays, I would sit there and watch the whole thing. I run out with it on my phone and then come back and put it back on the tv.
[01:05:12] Speaker A: I think I saw one year with Dipset. I don't know what he was streaming it on. I wanna say Dipset was performing.
[01:05:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:05:19] Speaker A: And I saw that. That year.
[01:05:21] Speaker B: The last year I saw asap, Ferg was on the little stage in the daytime and I was like, who's that?
[01:05:30] Speaker A: Oh, but you didn't know who he was.
[01:05:31] Speaker B: Next thing I know, he was big as hell. Yeah.
[01:05:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:05:34] Speaker B: Yep.
[01:05:37] Speaker A: Yeah. So I figured if you would. You would have been to Summer Jam living up there, man.
[01:05:41] Speaker B: Nah, didn't go to none of them.
[01:05:44] Speaker A: None of them. You hear the big sports news?
[01:05:47] Speaker B: LeBron.
[01:05:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:05:49] Speaker B: Are you happy?
[01:05:51] Speaker A: I'm surprised he went to Philly, but
[01:05:54] Speaker B: you think he gonna do anything there? I think he's just like gracefully bowed out.
[01:05:57] Speaker A: Sell a lot of jerseys.
[01:05:58] Speaker B: He's doing the Homer Simpson thing.
[01:06:00] Speaker A: They say he got a two year old and they was like, maybe his son. Cause one of his sons might will be able to get out of college after a year. And then the other one, he's still in la.
[01:06:11] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[01:06:12] Speaker A: But if he get both of his sons on the same team, that shit'd be crazy.
That shit'd be crazy.
[01:06:18] Speaker B: It'd be crazy. If they were good, they would play at the same time. But they'll never hit the floor together.
[01:06:22] Speaker A: All three? Yeah, him and his other son played all three.
You never know.
[01:06:28] Speaker B: The luck of the Irish. Shit.
[01:06:30] Speaker A: You never know. It'll be the first time somebody have two of their sons on the team at the same time on the floor. That'd be crazy. That'd be crazy.
[01:06:37] Speaker B: They'd do that just to do that.
[01:06:39] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly.
[01:06:40] Speaker B: Two seconds exactly. All right, come back.
[01:06:42] Speaker A: Yup.
[01:06:43] Speaker B: Timeout.
[01:06:45] Speaker A: That'd be something. That'd be something.
[01:06:47] Speaker B: They'll let us stand out there for jump ball, man.
[01:06:49] Speaker A: Think about it. They'll make so much money because if they sell all three of their jerseys, like, all three of the numbers, like, I got the son and both sons and the daddy jersey.
[01:07:01] Speaker B: This is the year that LeBron left.
[01:07:03] Speaker A: If they do that, if they put all three of them on the same team, I'll buy all three of their jerseys.
[01:07:11] Speaker B: You should. Cause it'll be.
[01:07:13] Speaker A: It'll be something.
[01:07:14] Speaker B: It'll guarantee. It'll be probably.
This is the year LeBron left, and this is the first year that the
[01:07:20] Speaker A: other son got here.
[01:07:22] Speaker B: Got there.
[01:07:23] Speaker A: Yep. If they do that, I'll buy all three jerseys. Cause that'll be. That. That might be. That'll probably be the dopest thing ever in sports.
[01:07:30] Speaker B: You wear them.
[01:07:31] Speaker A: No, I don't. No.
[01:07:32] Speaker B: Frame them. You'll frame it.
[01:07:33] Speaker A: I'll probably frame them.
[01:07:34] Speaker B: That'd be dope.
[01:07:35] Speaker A: Like, I got a Kaepernick jersey.
[01:07:36] Speaker B: If you can put them all in. All three in one thing.
[01:07:38] Speaker A: Yeah, you can.
[01:07:39] Speaker B: That'd be dope.
[01:07:40] Speaker A: Get. Get a. A big one and just have them in there.
[01:07:43] Speaker B: I got a big one. Turn it sideways, matter of fact. Yeah. Yep, that'd be dope.
[01:07:48] Speaker A: Yep.
But, yeah, man, that was our weeks while we was gone, you know, Ain't too much. Any news, I'm up.
[01:07:56] Speaker B: Oh, I want to shout out to the people that's on the. On the comments, because we be skipping over them sometimes.
[01:08:01] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we do be forgetting. I got this thing, man, I want to show you. I don't know if you've seen this, man.
[01:08:08] Speaker B: And who was that last week or the week before that? Said we.

[01:08:16] Speaker A: We did?
[01:08:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:08:17] Speaker A: Who said that?
[01:08:18] Speaker B: I forgot who it was. They said, oh, what? No scam of the week?
[01:08:22] Speaker A: We got one this week.
I'm about to play this for you, and I'm gonna have to.
I'm gonna play this for you, man, to see. It's this clip. You don't really see my social media like that, do it? Yeah.
[01:08:38] Speaker B: I mean, when you post stuff, y' all be seeing it.
[01:08:40] Speaker A: Did you see the thing I post About Stevie Wonder.
[01:08:43] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I saw it on your thing, but then I seen it somewhere else.
[01:08:47] Speaker A: Nigga, that shit, the.
[01:08:49] Speaker B: The running and the day trying to catch him.
[01:08:53] Speaker A: Bro, I'm talking about.
That is the funniest shit I've seen for real in a long time, man. Cause the mannerisms of the person,
[01:09:05] Speaker B: how
[01:09:05] Speaker A: they doing this shit, and then the fact that. So you know, one of the people I always talk about on here is Bomani Jones.
[01:09:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:09:14] Speaker A: And Bomani told a story about a friend he had, I wanna say, when he was living in Atlanta, his friend worked at like a store, like a Best Buy type store.
[01:09:21] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:09:22] Speaker A: And he was like, they delivered like eight TVs to Stevie Wonderhouse. He's like, why the fuck do Stevie Wonder need eight TVs? Like, this nigga ain't blind, for real.
Then it was a thing where like Stevie Wonder was performing and like somebody was walking across the stage or coming off the stage or something. But the mic got kicked and the microphone stand was falling over and Stevie reached out and grabbed that shit like, kinda like.
[01:09:46] Speaker B: Is that on tv?
[01:09:47] Speaker A: No, it's not on. I don't. It probably is on TV somewhere.
[01:09:49] Speaker B: That's a story.
[01:09:50] Speaker A: That's a story. Yeah, yeah. So the story is that Stevie Wonder,
[01:09:56] Speaker B: they say he be driving too.
[01:09:57] Speaker A: Yeah, they say he be driving, but the story is that Stevie Wonder isn't blind.
[01:10:03] Speaker B: Yeah, who said the story about.
They got in the elevator and Stevie was in there and Stevie asked him what floor it might have been. Shaq or Kevin Hart. It was either Shaq or Kevin Hart.
[01:10:18] Speaker A: That's funny. That's funny. Did he push the button?
[01:10:20] Speaker B: I think he did.
[01:10:21] Speaker A: If he pushed the button, that was the story. That's crazy. That's hilarious. If he pushed the. I'm trying to find this. Damn.
Where did I. I can't remember what I posted it on.
[01:10:31] Speaker B: You posted it on your story?
Yeah, it was on my Facebook story.
[01:10:35] Speaker A: It showed up on my Facebook. So I probably posted on my Instagram too then.
Cause I got them connected.
[01:10:39] Speaker B: I end up seeing it somewhere else.
[01:10:44] Speaker A: Yeah, I started seeing it too. Cause I posted it from somebody and then I started seeing it again.
But I went to the like the person that.
The person that originally posted it and they had posted it a long time ago.
[01:11:02] Speaker B: Oh, it just circulating again.
[01:11:03] Speaker A: Uh huh. Okay, hold up. I'm on they page.
[01:11:06] Speaker B: I hope whenever I.
Things pick up some traction a year from now or something.
[01:11:13] Speaker A: Yeah. And then it'll make me care again.
Cause sometimes you post shit and it go away and you don't think about it.
Yeah, but then, like, later on.
Later on, you care about it. You know what I'm saying?
Like, it make you care about it. Like, you. You do some shit, and then. No, it don't really pick up. Like, you know what I'm saying? Don't get violent. So you don't think about it no more. Yeah, you don't really care about it no more. But then, like, the pop off, and you're like, oh, I care.
[01:11:41] Speaker B: Now say, I care.
[01:11:43] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm trying to get this. Hold on. I'm gonna get the sound, too. If y' all haven't seen this shit, man, I think it's hilarious. I'm sorry.
[01:11:51] Speaker B: I wonder why you think it's so funny.
[01:11:53] Speaker A: Just, like, I might talk it through the parts that I think is, like, funny to me.
[01:11:59] Speaker B: Like you said, the movement. The way she was kind of like.
[01:12:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:12:02] Speaker B: The way she was moving, trotting. She was like, trotting and running.
[01:12:05] Speaker A: The run is like, for one, she was running like Jack Sparrow.
[01:12:10] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right. That part.
[01:12:14] Speaker A: That was one thing.
And then.
And then just the fact that people think that Stevie Wonder isn't blind.
[01:12:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:12:28] Speaker A: And she get in the car.
[01:12:30] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I forgot about that part.
[01:12:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
So hold up. I'm about to play it for y', all, man.
Look at that run.
[01:12:45] Speaker B: Yeah, look at the arms.
[01:12:45] Speaker A: Look at that.
[01:12:47] Speaker B: Look at the arms.
[01:12:52] Speaker A: Hey, bro, that run is stupid.
Why she throw the head back? Why she throw the head back? Watch her head.
[01:13:00] Speaker B: You stupid.
[01:13:01] Speaker A: That part, right? They made me laugh, too, when she hand him the thing.
Oh, my God, Stevie, he talking about you so crafty. What do you think about the Kendrick and Drake beef?
Hold up. This is the part, right?
[01:13:15] Speaker B: Stupid.
[01:13:16] Speaker A: They not like us.
[01:13:17] Speaker B: They not like us.
[01:13:18] Speaker A: Hold on. This is the part right here.
[01:13:19] Speaker B: My. Look at this. Look at this.
[01:13:20] Speaker A: Why don't you look over the glasses, Abraham? I was crying about that, laughing about that, man. So I watched that over and over. But like, that run when she was running in the circle and she threw her head back, and so I got a homeboy Chad.
It was one of the BET Awards or the NAACP Awards or whatever. And we was watching the shit, and he was like, stevie Wonder, mustache and beard or like a vagina.
[01:13:49] Speaker B: They talk about it now.
[01:13:50] Speaker A: Cause it's just.
[01:13:50] Speaker B: It's just around his lips. Yeah, they posted last night. They said the barber needs to. Is it too late for the barber to get arrested, bro?
[01:13:59] Speaker A: Then his braids start way back.
[01:14:01] Speaker B: It's not even shaped up.
[01:14:02] Speaker A: It's Just. Nah, it's just there like.
That is wild, man.
That is wild. But she got everything then she did. She got a video on there where she going to a blind date at Stevie Wonder.
[01:14:15] Speaker B: Oh, man, you done fell into the rap.
[01:14:18] Speaker A: I had to go to that page, man. Like the running like Jack Sparrow. The arms when she handed him the cane.
That was just hilarious to me, man.
[01:14:28] Speaker B: This stupid.
[01:14:29] Speaker A: I love. That was dope, man. That was funny to me. To me, man. That was hilarious to me.
But yeah, you right. We do got to get in the
[01:14:37] Speaker B: scam of the week.
[01:14:38] Speaker A: Scam of the week.
[01:14:40] Speaker B: Hold on.
[01:14:40] Speaker A: Where's my scammer? Here we go. We going old school. Scammer. I did fraud today, hey. I did fraud today, okay? I did fraud today, hey. I did a good job today okay cuz the blessings come from God. Cause I'm committing fraud I did fraud
[01:14:55] Speaker B: today I did a good job job today, okay? I did fraud today, hey. I did fraud today, hey. Fraud today, okay?
[01:15:03] Speaker A: I did a good job today, hey. Blessings come from God. Cause I'm committing fraud I did fraud
[01:15:10] Speaker B: today I did a good job today.
[01:15:12] Speaker A: This one kind of close to home. Now this is happening. Lee Corrections. Okay. Yeah, yeah. A lot of stuff be going down at Lee County.
[01:15:19] Speaker B: You right?
[01:15:20] Speaker A: Yeah, right. Lee corrections officer, please get to accepting over $500,000 in bribe. $500,000 in bribery scheme.
[01:15:27] Speaker B: How they count that out?
[01:15:29] Speaker A: Seven people have been federally charged and faced up to 20 years in prison following the bribery scheme of over half a million dollars. Including those facing charges, an officer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections and two inmates at the Lee Correctional Institute in Bishopville. 52 year old Kershaw county resident Lawanda Atkinson. Guess the race.
Pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud inside the Matthew J. Perry Courthouse Wednesday afternoon. Atkinson was a corporal and corrections officer at Lee correctional institution for 16 years where she was entrusted to enforce contraband laws and served as a gatekeeper of all property entering the prison for the last 10 years.
Instead, she used her position for accepting over $550,000 to $600,000 in bribes from some inmates. And I'll just point out, if she made that much money, inmates made infinitely more money.
Yeah. Cause if they paid her to get the stuff in, they were selling it to each other for more money.
[01:16:33] Speaker B: But 500,000, you know how long they had to be doing it for it to rack up that high?
[01:16:37] Speaker A: Yep, I do know. Authorities say between August 2018 and May 2023, Atkinson accepted the bribes from inmates Jason Brown And Larry Williamson Atkinson also having a romantic relationship with Brown. That's a charge that she. They might throw that charge on her too.
[01:16:54] Speaker B: Oh, she's definitely getting that. Cause they wouldn't even put it in that, in that thing if they wasn't gonna do that.
[01:17:00] Speaker A: Damn. He look familiar?
The mug shots below are courtesy of the S.C. department of Corrections. So one of them black and one of them white.
Larry Brown is the. No, Jason Brown and Larry Williamson. Williamson is the white guy, I guess. Aginson pleaded guilty to using potato chip bags to smuggle phones, phone accessories, marijuana and tobacco in the Lee so that the inmates could then sell and distribute the contraband to other inmates.
Authorities say she would then receive portion of cash proceeds and bribes and use the money on high end items including $50,000 on designer clothing, $6,000 on a Brazilian butt lift and chin liposuction, and thousands for two luxury vehicles.
[01:17:44] Speaker B: Oh, she bringing, she brought the weight in there.
[01:17:47] Speaker A: Brown's mother, Mary Ann Hickman Brown, his brother Christopher Hickman, his friend Courtney Briggs, and his nephew's mother, Adrian Conyers, all face charges as well. Oh, all splitting the proceeds from contraband sales.
Says she started working at Lee in 2018, the same year the Lee riots among inmates over contraband took place.
Damn. Her annual salary was $47,000 a year.
Yeah, see that's, that's their fault though. They should pay them people more and they won't be tempted to smuggle stuff in for the, for the inmates.
[01:18:27] Speaker B: You might be right.
[01:18:28] Speaker A: $47,000. You gotta, man. Leak Lee.
A lot of be going down at Lee.
[01:18:35] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, for years, man.
[01:18:37] Speaker A: I got some young homies that was in Lee. Well, they still in one. I know one for show. Still in that?
[01:18:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:18:41] Speaker A: Yup. Shout out to him. He should be getting out soon though.
He done did like 20 years in there.
Yep.
Shout out to that 9.8. Anyway, that's all I got, man. You got anything else before we get out of here?
[01:18:56] Speaker B: Nah, I think that's it, man.
[01:18:58] Speaker A: Hey, man, it's just like riding the bike, man. You take some time off, you get right back on that bike and, and, and, and you know, you get it moving.
[01:19:06] Speaker B: Get it moving.
[01:19:07] Speaker A: Yeah, speaking of bikes, you see that video? That lady, she was riding that trail like up on the mountains and, and
[01:19:13] Speaker B: felt it was falling off with the dog. The dog was like you on your own.
[01:19:16] Speaker A: Yeah, that dog, like.
Yeah, she was trying to grab anything, any damn pebble or everything.
[01:19:23] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, everything. She, she, she. Luckily she, she made it.
